Hey again FC! I'm just checking in with a couple of recent custom IH builds.

Bloodwood and purpleheart are definitely two of the more popular wood options. I love them but they are super dense and very difficult to machine.

I had an order for a Zombie last week so I made three for shits and giggles.
I made two of the custom order which was bloodwood, wenge and purpleheart.

And one with chakte viga, hard maple and bloodwood. Personally I like off-center stuff so you can often tell what I built for fun.

I also had an order for my larger IH called the cow-catcher with chakte viga, hard maple and purpleheart. This appears to be a popular combo.

The color combos have been pretty popular but I still get swept up by single species pieces too.

Hope everyone is staying sane.

Hey FC!

I've been tinkering with my smallest portable IH to date.
The Timberhead Matron is 4" x 4" x 2.5" is powered by a 1000mah lipo battery and has 2 toothpick holes, 2 Vapcap holes, a 10mm x 5mm magnet and the heater.

I'm currently trying to nail down the rear panel for repeatability and interior clearance. It's tight in there!

As in all of my portable heaters, the battery is user replaceable and repair parts are available directly through @Pipes.

I've got some new harnesses coming from Pipes that I hope will clear up more space without me having to resolder everything.

Incidentally, an English friend of mine unknowingly named it with this reference:

Hey FC!

I'm just about finished with the first "production" batch of Matrons.

There were some tweaks to the design mostly to clear as much space as possible inside because it's tight in there!

Here are the first three of the five piece custom order batch that I'm working on.

And in action with a cold TI tip.

Hope everyone is hanging in there!

I am so happy to have received this stand.

This keeps everything I need for a DCE or Herborizer experience within hands reach. This is good for me, I can get unorganized pretty fast and spend 5 minutes searching for the pic I just set down.
The RDK is sitting in an indention in this wood that frames the black enclosure perfectly.

I figured out a while back how to program the additional 8 presets that come with the dual VVPS. But I still need help navigating to them. With no buttons like the M1 and M2 buttons, how do you actually select the additional presets once you program them?

  1. Push and hold "set"
  2. Turn the knob and observe that the screen shows M0 changes through your presets.
  3. Quick press of "set" selects the preset.
I was mooning over these gorgeous pieces again and saw this. I know you got the answer to your question on another thread, but I figured I would share it here for anyone else who needs it.
