Discontinued ThermoVape Evolution

@Sessnet. I believe it is usable with the T1 as long as you have the "universal adapter" for 510 threading the revolution and other things.

wait.... I may be a dumbass here.... but does this mean I can use 18650 batts on my rev dart lv in my thermovape?.... I for some reason never thought I could throw other batts in it besides the cr123s.

It is not proprietary, you can decide which part of the bull it came from. I for one see nothing evil or underhanded in play.

This is absolutely accurate. I haven't been following the omicron since it first came out, since I live in a place where oil is nonexistient, and I just remember them saying that the threading is NOT 510, and that they no longer wish to discuss it. I assumed that they had come up with some kind of variation of a common threading, instead of just using the slightly less common 601. Sorry for the mixup.

So...I guess I can't use this with my T1? I could probably use it with any E-cig battery?

No worries Sessnet. We would never make a product that was not fully modular and compatible. Ling live the early adopters, we love you.

The Evolution will work with your T1, no problems.

Not exactly. The 123 format is a bit smaller than the 'standard' metric sizes used for most such batteries. Yes, if you listen real carefully you can hear the conspiracy theories being warmed up in the wings.....

Anyway, the high power flashlight guys ran into this first and came up with the 'sorta standard' 17670 format, which is what you want. Protected 1600 mAh. Can deliver LOTS of power. Charges in the same chargers (AFAIK). If you Google '17670 battery' you'll find 'em. I'm running one in my Revolution body with an adapter right now in fact. I'm fighting with a 4 Ohm Omicron cart that vapes like a house afire but plugs up big time right after on six volts. However, it seems to work OK on 3.7 where it's seriously under driven??? Anyway, it's nice to switch back and forth between the two voltages by changing batteries. Takes what 15 seconds to switch over?

Quick question... why would anyone prefer the TV1 to this new device?
I for one like the fact that I can use less product since my tolerance is low, as a matter of fact I have made a inner sleeve for my T1 to reduce the amount of herb I put in the chamber, that is why I'll wait on this one until I see how it works but nonetheless this is a great improvement to an already great product. By the way, the amount I use at the moment on my T1 with my new sleeve is equivalent to a log vape roasting tip.

Quick question... why would anyone prefer the TV1 to this new device?

Here is my thinking.

ThermoVape T1.

This is simply the most powerful, portable, convection vaporizer we can build. Basic advantages:

Higher power:
30 Watts vs. 20 Watts in the Evolution.

Higher Capacity Chamber:

T1: 8-15 inhalations (with stirring) for maximum extraction.
Evolution: 3-5 inhalations (no stirring required) for maximum extraction.

The ThermoVape T1 (and future fully compatible versions, T2..) will always represent the device that we manufacture to push the limits of portable convection vaporization in terms of power and performance.

Easy to load, easy to clean.

The T1 will also soon be offered with an all glass flow path (add on accessory) with option for both direct use and as a glass to glass fitting. Making it the smallest all glass vapor flow path vaporizer in the world, and of-course the only all glass vapor path portable convection vaporizer.

As we work to push the limits and engage new battery technology all of our products will improve, none more so then the T1. Overall we feel that it is a great device. There are many similarities between the two products, they do have there differences.

ThermoVape Evolution

This device is designed to be efficient, effective, and easy. It is your personal botanical vaporizer for when all you need is 2-5 nice inhalations. No stirring between inhalations. Just a super efficient chamber and novel flow path that makes it very resistant to clogging.

I think you will also find the flavor of the Evolution vapor is impressive.

The Evolution will get hot (although cools very quickly, quicker if the PTFE shield is removed). It is not a good vaporizer for sharing with groups (the T1 really isn't either... yet, but is better then the Evolution). This is truly designed to be small, disrupt, silent, easy, and extremely efficient. The Evolution at 6V is 30% more efficient then the T1, and is also available in a 3.7V configuration.

The Evolution also directly engages 14-18 gauge down-stems on it's own (the T1 requires a glass adapter).

It has the same incredibly durable, clean, and powerful heater core design. Is extremely durable. Easy to use, the entire device can be boiled and sterilized. Overall it is a very solid (and the worlds smallest) convection vaporizer.
Our goal was to deliver a extremely high quality device that we could simplify and save cost, and pass that

Having it be 510 compatible and available in Standard (for 6V or Variable Voltage use) and Low voltage for 3.7 Volt (3.7-4.2V) use makes this device very exciting. It opens up a whole world of devices that can now be a high performance, American Made, Medical Device grade, botanical vaporizer.

It is also less expensive then the T1. It is built for you, and priced so your friends can get their own.

Hope that helps,

Cheers,

i need a good opinon about to buy, just on the fence of what to get! i have VV lavatube 3-7v no auto shutoff switch. should i get the LV and run it at 3.7-4.2? or the 6v and run it at 6v?

im gonna be using this in the bong, and to take with me. so is the battery life a lot worse on the 6v? or would i be just wasting battery from the LV trying to make up for the power i wanted outa the 6v?

so im wondering....hit quality vs battery life between the two?

M understanding is the Lavatube runs a 18650 and up regulates the current. I think you wil be happier with the Standard Voltage Evolution. You can cool it off a little and probably still get the vapor you want. I bet it runs pretty sweet at 5-5.5V.

im like, so close to punching in those numbers its hard to pass up that shipping offer :\ i need to think about it, thanks for answering my question tho, i think i might wait to see the load sizes and hit quality first tho... i just have so many "toys" i only wana buy something ill use everyday.

to be honest im looking for something to replace my solo with....and thats a tough one.

just need something MORE portable that dosent take forever to charge that i can use in a bong or on the go, this seems to be it.

Xchadb,
So, warranty won't be affected by power source(as long as voltage is matched)? I say this because there is a lot of janky power sources out there, but also a lot of quality ones too.

Ok ThermoVape, I'm game.

How would a 510 ecig battery with a usb passthrough work? You can get "jumbo" 900mah ones. Would they work?

Hey OF,

When you are using the 17670 battery for 3.7v do you use an adapter to fit the battery in the body or just a 501 to 601 adapter to use the Omi carts?

Thanks

No, the 17670 is not only a tiny bit thinner to fit the tube, but also a bit longer than the 18650 to match the length of two CR123s. It's a perfect fit. As I understand it, the high power flashlight guys developed the package and a line of lower voltage, higher current bulbs to use them. We just stole it from them.

Should work, however we don't make it so I cannot make any promises. As long as the passthrough is solid (meaning the numbers they quote) you should be good to go.

Will this work on the ultralight?

The UltraLite 10440 just does not have the capacity to run the Evolution. The Ultra runs the Evolution - LV like a champ.

So, warranty won't be affected by power source(as long as voltage is matched)? I say this because there is a lot of janky power sources out there, but also a lot of quality ones too.

No, we back our products. If you are using the right voltage power source:

Single cell 3.7V - 4.2 V for the Evolution - LV

Double Cell 6.0-7.4v or Variable Voltage for the Evolution - Standard

we will fully back our warranty. Now if someone keeps buying LV's and sending them back burnt out, we may suggest that the Standard Voltage model is better suited to their power source.

Hope that helps,

Cheers.

Will this work with bubble bag hash or kif?

Like a beast. Certainly the best device we have for this application. A combination of a true heating column and the directional airflow bypass (so you don't suck bits and pieces into the mouthpiece).

Best method IMO:

Load small volume of medium grind botanical.
Load desired concentrate, should be ground if solid.
Load small volume of medium grind botanical.

Sit back and enjoy the ride. If you really want the VIP experience add a Pure Flow Filter and Moisture Conditioner, the restriction and moisture conditioning shine in this application.

Hope that helps.

I Quote from THC

"guys when we started in this industry we did not know the difference between 510, 601, 808 or a 901.
At that time the 808 901 510 and 601 where the common threads, 601 at last place. But as the years passed 510 became the main thread and now is the king.

The very first manufacturer we had did a 601 thread and 510 we selected a 601 thread. Then another company who shall remain nameless found out or manufacturer so we had to switch, but since we already had units out their and did not want to disturb previous clientele.

And here we are"
