With an ISO cleaned and boiled cart, a freshly loaded bowl without heating the C02 oil, and letting it dry overnite as recommended by the user manual, vape production and flavor is back to expected Cera levels. But over the last 3 sessions, there is sizzling coming from the cart.
I've read that this might be caused by water still in the cart - just wondering if the sizzling may actually be the c02 oil or if I need to change my drying procedure, and whether it is any way damaging the cart. thank you
Okay i might be reading this wrong but you said you iso, boiled then loaded a fresh bowl and let it dry overnight...
Did you do any 20/20/20 burns before loading the cartridge...
I would say that left over water is most likely the source of the sizzle... What you want to do is iso, boil then when your done boiling make sure you blow out excess water in the cart. I usually blow from each side a couple times... Then you want to do some 20/20/20 burns which is 20 seconds heat, 20 sec rest, 20 second heat. You can repeat this a few times until you dont hear a sizzle. I also turn my cart upside down a few times when doing the 20/20/20 burns to really make sure the water is gone. Let it dry overnight to be safe and do another 20/20/20 burn before loading to make sure there is no sizzle anymore.
It could potentially be the oil, but you wouldnt really be able to hear it sizzle unless you put your ear right next to the cartridge while heating.
@VapoRoor thanks for the shoutout
Wondering if the EO cera is more of a load as you go or can i throw .7 in it and go all day for around 100 hits?
Tastes fine through water, like shit dry. The same bho tastes great in cheap pens does that the mouthpiece is theproblem?
I have 4 EO carts and I have some flavor issues myself. My original cart never had proper airflow, it's like sucking a super thick milk shake through a straw, it has been to TET 3 times to only return exactly the same. The next two carts performed amazing for over a Z of concentrates through them then flavor issues started and no amount of ISO soak and boil would rejuvenate them. These two carts went to TET for rebuild and where returned to me with nothing done to them. Before sending those carts to TET I ordered a 4th EO in hopes that I could rotate carts and always have "like new performance" with rebuilds. My 4th cart has gives funky flavor unless I load and use, if I load and let it sit overnight it tastes like shit in the morning.
My solution, I load very small amounts and use immediately. If for next use have nasty flavor in soak up some oil with a small piece of paper towel and load fresh, .05 or less for a session. This keeps me in flavor and performance although performance has never been the issue. I also find running it through water extends the time of flavor. I have multiple tips and always have one soaking in ISO to be able to swap for a dirty one when needed.
I am a little confused why my 4th cart did not give me that new cart flavor with large loads. Cart 2 and 3 I could load .5 over empty weight and vape all day with great flavor. I am happy enough with load and session use but I will not be buying any more carts until something changes at TET and they will let me pay them for rebuilds.
Im not postive, but dont packages get sorted through when going through customs? Could be that someone inspecting it took it out and never put it back. Bummer for sure but TV will sort it out for you24 Hour review. (There will be another 30 day and one year review. (God willing)
Hi From Alberta Canada. Received Cera with LL in stainless yesterday. Medical marijuana user, 51 male, only discovered as medicine within last 12 months. Here is what I ordered.
Cera SS with LL core.
Battery and Charger.
2 X extra batteries.
1 X extra charger.
2 X Car chargers.
1 X extra nose cone.
I always give things ample time and opportunity to work out, as nothing is perfect, and somethings need patience to see through to fruit at the end. Being older, I understand this concept, and with TV's exemplary customer service, I suspect any issues if they arise will be worked out accordingly.
The good:
This thing is not a toy. It is solidly built. I love the ceramic feel and weight.
Is an advanced delivery method, not some shoddy kids bong.
Takes thought and style to pull blistering lung busting hits O vape.
Seems to be delivering me more medicine for my pain than smoking/com-busting.
The thought of having this for the foreseeable future is something that appeals to me.
The bad:
1. The 2 extra batteries I ordered and payed for were not in my package, either was my second charger I ordered and paid for.
2. The one charger I did get only half works, and the battery will only show red light and charge from the right hand side, nothing from the left side, although when I put the batt in backwards it will blink off and on red.
3. I did not get the round storage container most got with their Cera.
4. I did have to pay customs fees, import duties and fees, for importing these items I never received.
5 My switch may be intermittent. Seems some times it does not turn the cera on.
The ugly.
Before anything goes out the door at TV, here is what needs to happen.
1. When an order is filled, it is checked by a second person who ALSO signs off on it. This is not a $12.00 order from Amazon. This is a $500.00 investment, please take the extra 2 mins and double check the order. I do know personally I would rather package this up and send it back than pay import duties and taxes/fees twice for the same item.
2. Before an order is filled, place a batt in a company Cera and hold button for 30 seconds, LOOKING AT THE RED GLOW OF THE CORE. Take batt out and put in charger, if only sending one batt in the order, make sure BOTH SIDES of the charger charges. Now package the verified batt and charger in your lovely customers order.
3. Check it, then double check it, and if necessary check it again.
I am sitting here with one batt, half a charger, and an eager disposition. Lets now check the TV customer service reports.
I do think once this thing gets sorted it will be a WINNER, I have gotten some sick hits out of it before my one batt died and I had to go and cry.
Sending in mail to TV now about the half dead charger, send them one yesterday when the order was short.
Will report back
Stay frosty.
Hi
It would be to much for me to bear if I was to believe that on top of stealing $ on import duties and taxes, that they (customs not TV) would actually steal the products to. Besides the box was sealed and has a sticker saying unopened.
The switch does not make contact at times, you sit there sucking on it and it is not heating, let off the switch then back on and it starts heating. It is intermittent, does not happen all the time. At this price point, the switch should turn on the unit when pressed. If it does not, then there is a problem.
Button tops. Batteries are fine. Charger only works on the right side though.
Will get it all sorted this week I am sure.
I do like this product, it is a good product, it deserves patience and compassion. And besides, TV has a very good rep in customer service, that is what pushed me to order.
Thanks all.
Old
Unfortunately, customs does make things go missing on occasion. Whether it's theft or just forgetting to put the inspected items back in, it does happen. I had a DVD box sent to me completely empty once...
If it wasn't opened though, it was more than likely an oversight on Thermovapes end. They will take care of you.
Yeah i wasnt implying they stole anything, i was just thinking maybe they opened it up to inspect and didnt put everything back. Because ive read of that happening before...either way im sure itll get sorted out.Oh yes, I know that CBSA can flub things up royally. Still waiting for a reply back from TV.
You should do a write up so the people can follow your footsteps safely!Guys, I love my Cera EO, but cleaning with iso alcohol and boiling water doesn't fully clean all the baked on carbon that reduces the capacity and loading ability of the ceramic core, and also decreases performance (vapor production) and flavor. I have opted to open up my EO core to refurbish the ceramic myself. Using a .035" allen wrench that I found at a flea market, I opened it up. Basically unscrew the 4 base screws in the core. This allows you to pull the stack of ceramics outward from the bottom side. After pulling it apart carefully, I find this. (Note: This is the condition of my core after fully cleaning with many rounds of isopropyl alcohol, boiling water, and 20/20/20 burn. Also, no oil has been added yet.)
Wow! Lots of buildup crap on there!
Using my new torch lighter, I hit the ceramic donut stack till it was glowing white. Repeated for the top ceramic wafer. I tried to avoid the steel parts. I noticed that there is another ceramic donut under the top two. I wasn't able to get this perfectly white as I didn't disassemble the stack, perhaps another time. Anybody know how to safely disconnect the heating wire?
This is what it looks like after torching. Nice and clean! You can see the pores in the ceramic that were once filled with black carbon are now empty.
Disclaimer: Please don't attempt this yourself unless you know all the risks involved. I stripped one hex screw and managed to get it out, but this leaves me with three now. Be very careful with the screws as they strip easily and need very LITTLE threading to secure everything together. Remember, the ceramics are brittle too. I believe this will void your core warranty.
EDIT: Got to try it out in the refurbished status. WOW! Just like new! Big EASY clouds that taste phenomenal. I will be refurbishing the ceramic periodically with a torch now that I see how big of a difference it is. Love this product!

I used it daily with mid to high grade oils for over 6 months, whenever they got released basically. How heavily had you been using your Cera and for how long?
