Friends and Neighbors,
A quick 'heads up': I just got an invite to come by the shop and check out the new 'mini Cera'. Seems it's called "Luna"?
The photos look pretty cool, but they know how to Photoshop there.......
More when I know more.

Please do repot back!!!!
Is it a whole new device or doest it use the same cart as the cera??
Thanks OF!!!

Great stuff OF, as always!!!!!Yeah, and it's also how you spell "Lunatic" if like get distracted or run out of room or just decide to abbreviate......
Our use of "Lunatic" really does relate to the moon you know. Lots of strange beliefs long ago, but not that strange really when you consider what some folks today believe.........
Yup, that was the plan. There was some talk back when about repackaging it (make it smaller?). The photos look very similar if not the same. With luck I'll know for sure this time tomorrow. Still not 100% sure if I can shift stuff around or not, but it's only a couple hour run......
And I want to see it before it 'goes on tour' like the last original Ceras did. Every time they'd get one together, it'd be gone before I could get over to see it. This one, being the first article, is going to be around for a while getting it's picture taken, taken to fancy dinners and maybe the theater......

I held out on buying a Cera for almost a year, finally found one used and don't know how I lived without it, I will also be getting a Luna! No doubt about it! Best oil vape, PERIOD!
Guys,
I just got back from TV and the news is good. Great even, IMO.
I got to see the Luna, it's real and it's neat. You're going to like it. For the most part it's a repackaging of Cera, but with some exciting and downward compatible improvements.
The unit itself is half an inch or so shorter and about 2/3 the weight of Cera (my guess, no scales handy). There's a Titanium version coming that will be lighter still. The body is metal again (SS in this case) which gets away from all the problems with strap connections. And the switch is no longer in the cap so those problems are also engineered out. There's a pushbutton switch where the original slide switch went in Cera (under your thumb). It depends on spring pressure (and a slip on safety clip) to keep it from going off in your pants pocket.
The tube is 'undercut' to take a decorative sleeve that covers the body (1 inch OD, 7/8 ID for those that want to start thinking about custom covers.....), the one I saw had a carbon fiber tube, looked nice against the SS. The profile of the tip of the switch looks a lot like the old Ultra line. The standard EO cart screws in the top.
Also shown was the new EL cart (looks a lot like an EO cart, but has a larger reservoir inside. I'm not a 'juicer' but it did seem to work well in the switch demo part of the show.
The key to the castle seems to be the new switch. Like may other TV designs it's both simple and elegant. It's the basic reason for all the delays. What with the normal setbacks with getting parts made and the extensive redesigns (I was shown 4 or 5 contact configurations for the switch that didn't work out.....) it took longer than expected to 'solve the switch problem'. This is one they won't have the same supply issues Cera had. It's all custom parts they control and standard (but tiny) screws.
Expect the official announcement (complete with photos hopefully) early next week. There will be a pre order for the 20 or so pieces in the first batch (25 total of each part either made or being made right now). Those will be delivered next month as production quantities of parts are contracted for and made, remember their new business model calls for buying parts not leasing machines and making their own.
Production version will probably be on sale a month or so from now?
Now for the really exciting part......the new switch design is intended for retrofit into Ceras!! By changing the end cap to the new design (losing half an inch or so) and installing the very same switch assembly into the tube under the screw plate (it's held in by a screw and bushing in one large hole, the push button in the other) and now the Cera has a pushbutton switch on the side and a simple (and hopefully trouble free) end cap. How cool is that?
And the good news doesn't end there. Adapters are planned too. I'm pushing for sooner, IMO as soon as they go out for parts they should do the adapters then while waiting on production quantities of Luna parts. The two projects needn't impact each other that much IMO. This means Cera EO for Persei and high current 510 thread mod owners at long last. Hopefully we can get that release moved up?
And finally we had a nice chat about re releasing Revolution/DART!!! They've heard the feedback from us just like the other suggestions for the Cera (switches, weight, finish and so on). There was a discussion of incorporating the Cera EO technology (maybe a shorter stack, but using the new 'heater in the center' improvement that came with Cera. We're talking a higher production, less temperamental cart that holds more.
Cera will continue, and will probably be the better choice for LL use. That metal body will heat up fast, like the T1 does.
Oh, yeah, a new MP is included in all this. It sits deeper in the EO cart, is better supported and no longer snaps off easily. They're making a bunch of them so we'll be able to buy them for existing EO cores as we wish.
Fun stuff coming boys and girls. Get the credit cards warmed up, I bet those first two dozen go mighty fast and I'll be a few months before full production I'm guessing. Price is expected to be less than Cera, and hopefully will drop since the sole source problem with the Zirconia parts won't be in play. Lots of machine shops, hungry for work, can make these parts.
The wait is nearly over. There's a Churchill quote to that effect somewhere.
Anyway, announcement and pre order of the small pilot run happens real soon. The line forms to the rear.......

OF, thank you. did you notice any changes being made to the inner configuration or workings of the EO cart itself ?

I dont know how much longer I can hold out for this CERA mini or if its even necessary! I need something for shatter thats not gonna waste my meds like every other shit pen I've tried. Please someone from Thermovape tell me if I should hold off or take the plunge into the CERA now!
What do you mean with "by changing the end cap" or "hopefully trouble free end cap"?
Only changing the current switch on the bottom to a simple "cap" with a spring to push the battery
upwarts?
EDIT: And what happens to the 2 large holes where the new switch assembly take place, are they completly closed now?
I thought they where also a kind of vents?
Yup. The new cap has no switch but it does have a vent hole like the Ultra line did. They made the treads the same so can just screw the new part on. The "hopefully trouble free" part has to do with springs and the fact that 'standard batteries' aren't. And then there's the whole SV issue for the e-cig guys, they need two short batteries in there. The unit I saw had two springs in it, they didn't have the new size yet. Worst case might call for a new cap length, or maybe even a couple sizes? No big deal, really.
Sorry I wasn't more clear.
All is good, I think. Folks will be happy with everything except delivery. And price, of course. Time will tell.
