Not on their site. If you find one it'll be on a vape store. I know that my local headshop of choice has a T1 and a Revolution set on display for sale still.

They come mostly charged. Knowing your legendary self restraint I'd suggest you put one on charge and play with the other for a while, then switch them off?

I know that color blind red/green LED bit. There's a whole level of hell waiting for the guys that design that stuff in so 1/8 of the men in the world (basically none of the women) have some level of trouble. About the same level as are left handed in fact and you don't catch anyone making tools that absolutely won't work for southpaws......'cept maybe baseball mitts. And they sell well in the other sex.

Anyway, most chargers seem to give you a clue. One I have flashes a blip of the other color when charging, when it seems solid it's done (you just have to watch carefully for a while). The 'factory' charger TV sells I can sort out because disconnecting a charged battery (that must be green) flashes red before going out, if it's still charging it just goes out without changing level first (being red I assume).

Somewhere I also have a red LED I glued on a chopstick. Pass it in front of a red light and nothing happens, but a green light gets blocked.....somehow I lost track of it and my camera batteries need charging. I'm down to the one in service and one more spare. Time to make a new stick I think.

One last thought, DR yer goona love the Cera.....big time. Did you see what Bob L said above????

OF

I did see what Bob said, but the thing is I've got the LL cart, not the EO cart.

I'll adapt to the charger like I always do somehow. One color always looks less bright.

But the thing is...I only ordered the ONE battery direct from thermovape. I figured there is probably a better source of batteries out there by now? I see that 4 pack on amazon, is that the exact same one they sell it with?

I guess I'll use it immediately more than likely to show it off to a buddy. If the performance sucks I'll blame the battery until I try a fresh charged one. Rough charging time from "empty" to full on the one they sell? Any ballpark? I'm pretty damn excited to get this thing today. I'll welcome the change from conduction back to convection vaping, that is for damn sure.

A quick tip for anyone about to receive a Cera EO. I highly recommend doing a dry pull before loading it up and if it tastes funny, clean the cart very well before loading. I had a foul taste before loading and loaded anyway (I know, I know...) but the taste didn't go away. Did an ISO wash and boiled earlier today and now the funny taste is gone and life is good. Not sure what happened there but I imagine it could happen again so be careful.

On another note, received my 2nd EO cart today and it had all four set screws. It is a completely different experience, I prefer the cart with the missing screw much more than my new cart with all four- especially using with glass. I guess only time will tell the negative implications of running with just three set screws on the EO cart. Just remember everyone, we are not supposed to remove screws on our own according to TET..
Is it easier to draw with glass with 3 screws vs 4? I like using my cera with my GonG downstem and bong but its really hard to pull when I get a full seal with the o-ring. There's so much resistance I have to milk the vapor for my girlfriend and pass it off to her after I've filled the bong... not very user friendly. Does 3 screws let in more air than 4? How do I go about removing one?

Finally ready to approve the final sketch before the mould is created and it's cast to ceramic. Here it is:
CPv12ms.jpg

Disclaimer: This is primarily for LL users and is simply an enhancement over the stock mouthpiece. For those on the fence about buying, I would highly recommend it as-is!

Please verify measurements, angles, etc. I will be running this all by Tim as well. Manufacturing variance is +-0.2 MM

Can you help me with a few questions?
  1. Will the cart be able to sustain the weight of the attachment? I think so (given how well it's anchored in there...)
  2. Is the wall thickness adequate? I have it as 3 MM at the smallest point. I know Ceramic is brittle
  3. Is it long enough? Too long? 6.5 CM
TheRobbo and I have been chatting off-thread about incorporating the stock MP into the new MP. Here was his design:
cSx57K4.png

I see what he's saying but I'm not sure it would work well supporting both the screen and stock MP. He has my contact's info so he's welcome to build one on his own or I was thinking perhaps we have the factory build us a replacement for the stock MP (but with bigger holes to support greater airflow). I can't imagine it would cost that much and then it would fit in here perfectly. Thoughts?
As for the release - I'm going to buy two five packs of those screens ($12/pack + shipping) and 10 of these units from the factory. It was either buy 10 or pay an extra $30 for the one sample and let you all buy screens and the mouthpieces individually (incl shipping from China). I figured given all of the demand that I would just buy 10 myself. The unit cost is $6.20 + shipping from China. Assuming my initial sample works, I will post 10 on eBay for $15, with each including a ceramic screen. All-in, the cost to me is around $10 per unit. I will be using the $5 to help defray some of the $100 cost of the sample and to prevent you all from having to buy those $12 packs of screens (when all you need is one) and pay shipping from China. Absolutely not in this to make money...please don't get the wrong idea. I won't even be able to buy myself a coffee after Ebay and PayPal take their cut of the $5. Just trying to help out everybody.

Yeah, the missing screw opens up the airflow to where it is pretty much wide open. I don't know the drawbacks of the missing screw though and I don't suggest removing without contacting TET. On the other hand, way back OF mentioned the screw is .035" hex if you need to tighten anything..

Understood, that wasn't the point. Bob is a DART fan, even does doubles on the dual top Persei I think. But, neat as DART is, he's all but raving (and with Bob, how would you tell?) about Cera. It's that great an improvement on the 'old line' stuff he has. Same in LL, as you're about to find out. If you liked T1 you're sure to love it when you get to the vastly better batter life, away from stirring, and into the cleaner taste and lack of plugging.

I get what you say about light levels, but I need something to judge against. Not even the red/green channel indicators on my old car's radio would stick out in level in some lighting conditions with a 'reference' under an inch away. However, I found night time peripheral vision to work best? That is sometimes 'out of the corner of my eye' I could see it?

Yes, those batteries are the original best choice, but they're out of production. I suggest getting them before they're all gone. Already the original deal on Amazon is gone (sold out it seems).

Be careful of running the battery currently being sold by TV too flat, the originals will probably deal better with that.

I had the exact samething happen to me. Are you really comfortable with it now. What the hell do you think that was? Shoe polish? Man I wish that kind of thing could be caught in QC.

I know ours shipped the same day, so maybe they forgot to clean them that day?? The extra airflow from the missing screw more than makes up for it IMO.

Thanks for the tips OF! I'll give it one test run and then let it charge and resort to the pax if I need anything during that time. I supposed the cloud should do the trick while I charge it.

Just ordered a 4 pack. So what are people going to use when these are impossible to find? Just different 18650s?

Well I guess I was jumping the gun in assuming it shipped on Monday...But As I went to my email to shoot Zeki a message inquiring about the shipping....The shipping notice was there sitting right on the top of my inbox messages, it just got sent out today about an hour ago! Whoot!

The airflow on my EO cart is almost zero. What could be the problem. It has been cleaned spotless. Is the draw supposed to be that restricted?

Seems a few of you Cera guy's have or are currently experiencing this restricted air-flow....anyone any idea what's up with the airflow ?

Bob Loblaw

it is a restricted draw, similar to an omicron cart. you have to "milk it" or rather do short pulls w/ mouth, inhale, repeat (kinda like ur nursing, but also refers to pulling milky clouds.) don't use hard extended lung pulls. much less effective. also if you are using it cold and it's filled w/ a more stable oil, hit it a few seconds longer at start up and keep milking it 'til the draw clears. haven't messed w/ the screws yet, but i agree that it is difficult to use w/ water pieces. mess w/ set screws at ur own discretion. have been warned it can jam up the cart if done wrong. my two cents

Looking good!

I know ours shipped the same day, so maybe they forgot to clean them that day?? The extra airflow from the missing screw more than makes up for it IMO.

For the set screws.... I suggest not messing with them, its very easy for the threads to become mauled without the proper tools to install them. The airflow is metered from a radial gap around the base of the chamber, taking a set screw out now moves your airflow up towards the waffer and you will start to lose vapor density as well as not being able to get the stuff left at the bottom.

We are working on another EL core, a few little changes and additions. This is why the current EL orders are on hold, we are just waiting to get the changed parts. If you already have an EL, dont worry we will take care of you. There will be an email to every EL order with all the information you need to get updated. Stay Tuned!

Cheers,
Tim

What about the airflow on the EO? Is it really designed to be very restrictive when drawing? It seems that really only mouth draws are practical. I currently feel I have a defective EO due to the difficulty of draws. I know I could be wrong if the EO cart is only designed to mouth sip.

Yes, as Bob said, that is the design. There almost certainly is no problem. Vapor can only be made so fast, all the vapor made will be available to you, increasing the air flow will only slow production by stealing heat to heat the air, make the hit hotter by adding that heat to the delivered vapor, and dilute what you get (again by adding needless air).

Have you loaded it? It's very common to get oil into the vents, heating it up clears them.

Go ahead and send it in if you want, but IMO you're running in circles chasing ghosts. My advice is to have a little faith, it's a good product, well made and has well over a hundred happy owners. And nobody, zero, with unresolved problems. You too can be one of them, you paid your money you should enjoy it before getting so upset. The odds are very much against your having a real problem IMO.

Some guy on here has a cracked cera from dropping it. Sadly, but not surprisingly, most of TETs superfluous claims turned out to be lies. The original thread was over 100 pages long before anyone actually owned one. This just creates hype for a product that doesn't deserve it. Now TET is saying they are going to make a new core. Why, if it was supposed to be so amazing? Some of you guys are happy, others not so much. Seems like some vaporizer manufacturers are taking advantage of you guys on this forum.

Lies? Please show me one? You said most of their claims turn out to be lies, shouldn't be hard.

Your view that "it doesn't deserve it" is pure speculation IMO. Have you ever tried it? Have you noticed the hundreds of raves by happy owners? Or are we all in on the lies too?

I sincerely hope folks aren't scared off by this BS. I'm confident most are smart enough to take the word of guys who've actually used one over nay sayers with zero experience.

If it's such a lame product where are all the used ones for sale at discounts from disappointed owners?

The more I think about it the more I think your right it is just not practical to incorporate both MP and screen, I don't think my design offered any improvement in that regard.
However I don't think this deducts from the brilliance of your idea/design in the slightest and I am seriously thinking about asking for two when the time comes cause I'm all the way down under and there is safety in numbers

Here's to your ingenuity and to FC for making this possible

Wow, I find it ridiculous how many people are already having problems with their Cera, and have had to ship it back. Some have no airflow. Others have contaminated ceras that give off terrible tastes. I mean in the videos from TET the guy was ripping on digital electronics because 'they are unreliable and will not last for life and are bad for you' and saying how the cera will last forever, like a tool. Like the ceramic body is indestructible, yeah right. Some guy on here has a cracked cera from dropping it. Sadly, but not surprisingly, most of TETs superfluous claims turned out to be lies. A lot of positive developments. I'll take a mouthpiece if/when it becomes reality.

Glad to hear TET is working to improve the EL cart design.

I ordered an LL cart yesterday from TET & got the shipping notice today. Is it time to close the wait & gibberish thread?

Gentle Friends,

First, someone please take Dreamer for a long walk. I'm about to post another photo (two actually) and you know how she can get a little upset when that happens.......

So, yesterday there was some loose talk about a Power Adapter. I decided to finish packaging one of the prototypes I've been tinkering with:

Remember, this is a prototype, the cable needs work (and strain relief). That's the standard end cap minus the switch (which unscrews) so I suspect some threaded insert will happen to do the strain relief and provide a switch function (right now you have to unplug it).

Inside is the plastic tube that was used to make the T1 PA (that very few actually bought I understand?) that serves as a body for it. The electronics mounts inside on the brass screw that makes the positive contact with the cart when installed. There's a flat washer next (spring stop against the back end of the plastic tube) with a hardware store spring backed by a brass washer with the ground wire soldered to it. This bigger washer gets caught on the lip in the ring on Cera so it's clamped by the end cap making a solid connection (and keeping the cap from fully screwing down). It's a bit too thick, but again, what the local hardware store had when I went by this morning.

Yes, the little chrome screw head on the blue box is the voltage adjustment.

Initial testing shows promise. Not only is the power level constant (and variable) but since the internal heating in the battery doesn't happen any more the Cera body stays colder where you hold it longer for the same performance.

And yes, you can plug the car cord you may already own (or can easily by) and run it in the car.....that's part of the design goals.

Josephaltier I understand how you can feel this way about TET and their 2nd generation product Cera...but I beg to differ that they are "taking advantage of us" more than any other company that sells a product... I mean Compare TET to just about any other company side by side and Im pretty sure TET will take the cake every time as being a good company that I respect.

Perfection cant be guaranteed in this world, we have what we have and if we don't like it we can attempt to make something better...:science: ..........but for the time being Cera is A huge step forward for vaporizing altogether and I am pleased witht the product.

Cheers,
Rocco:peace:

Edit: OF, that is awesome! I love idea for the ability to plug into the car for use, genius.
So is that basically like a latching power supply? or Constant On I guess is the correct term?

I highly doubt its defective, the draw on my EO is quite restricted when compared to the LL, I dont mind as i get insanely milky hits.

Also i dont remember TET claiming this thing was bulletproof, alot stronger than average ceramic sure. I'm pretty sure 10x stronger than your average coffee cup was stated. Darbs cracked because he dropped it on CONCRETE, its also still working. I love how bent out of shape people get over a product they don't own and have never tried.

What is this piece? I've successfully vaped a bowl without it. WOW is that bowl tiny. Yet as effective as a much larger bowl. Thermovape, I don't even know how to use this thing yet, and I'm already very impressed. Pardon the horrible picture, I'm sure someone will know what it is right away.
