300 C seems perfect for V2 rubies! Thanks!

I've got 3mm rubies in the V1 and they are my favorite.

After all the discussions here I've just decided to try them in the T2. It's a Bank Holiday in the UK this weekend so I've got a few days to test them out. I'm going back to the full 0.20 bowl too 😵‍💫

Its definitely a good time to do it as the balls and bowl were due for a clean.... 😬

@Brenyo it looks like you could pull off a single CU that would work for both the stem & mouthpiece for V2. The flat edge could have some swivel action as well. Would go a long way for us weak lung folk

I have a small problem with heating my tempest2 in inspire wand. no matter what temperature is set (I tried from 240C to 285C) I burn or am very close to burning. I rarely get to the second click. I use a new adapter. do you have any suggestions?

+40-50C compared to V1 with the same adapter
thanks ! for that tips. im at 350 C for hash and 290 C for flower.
For solid hash: 350-360C, set the new one adapter in a low position to ad a bit of conduction (That the tempest head protrudes about 2mm or so from the bottom of he wand). And remember to chop the hashish (i suppose you already do it )
I use the same position like for flower ( its almost at the middle, and works awesome). I take a small piece and press it betwen my thumb and indexfinger until i have a coin shape. I put it in between vape wool.

the V2 works like a charm. Im very impressed with the airflow and how hard hitting it is.

With hash, if you break it up into the smallest pieces you can, it will vape much faster and stronger taking fewer draws to clear the bowl. The very best I've found so far is charas which if proper stuff should crumble almost into a powder with some gentle heating - very small granules, and as long as it's not tamped back into a lump it vapes very well on the cotton.
The coin shape has bigger surface area so is much better than a roundish lump.

What height is your tempest in the wand, maybe try setting higher, I prefer mine a little higher than in the manual

Too low probably, getting too much conduction from it is my guess. look at the picture in manual and adjust it like that

I'm also trying lower the level of roastines...adjusting Wand screw higher than recomnded and lowering the farhenheits on Wand.
Maybe I should try to pull it out earlier...or heat it faster.

Just received the tempest 2 titanium. Don't have a v1 to compare. 4 bowls in with a torch and I already find it superb.Amazing clean taste, amazing vapor. Can I somehow change the airflow ? I saw that you twist the cap under the indicator part from the v1s instructions on the site, but on my v2 it doesn't seems to spin. Does the v2 doesn't have that feature or i need to push harder?

i tried small pieces and one extra cotton layer. it worked very well, i extracted fast. It's a bit more fiddly, though. it needs further testing .

Are you going until timeout message or until the light stops flashing ?

edit: corrected quating. messed my post up because im high like a kite xD

On the v2 the calibration housing locks the airflow setting. So you need to unscrew a little the housing, move it as you want, and then screw the housing again

It certainly is a pain to prepare, though some hash much harder than others. The ones that crumble into larger pieces, I do that only a flat hard surface, then once it's cooled down it hardens a little, and can be crushed gently into smaller fragments. Sometimes gently chopping it with a blade or similar breaks ti up fairly well. Bottom line is getting the best surface area to the volume, and the smaller the bits the better that is, plus the hot air flows better through the bowl giving a more even heating.

Also, once you've crumbled/crushed it into a 'powder', if you put a thin layer of cotton at bottom of the bowl, then just sucking the hash up into the bowl works very well without tamping it too much. I don't usually even bother with cotton on top, I just keep the Tempest pointing slightly upright or horizontal so the contents don't spill out into the head (I use mine in the Wand horizontally not vertically for this reason, and it also keeps the cap far cleaner as a bonus).

Until timeout. What would be the setting if going until light stops flashing?

I might be getting extra roastines because of Quartz balls, that I swapped recently...
i use the zirc balls, and im just wondering if going till timeout is still a thing with the new adapter. it soaks so much less heat. i always let it in the wand still timeout though. i guess with the quarz balls you can reduce the heat further or use a gentler draw in the first seconds.

Do you know the temp setting on the Wand is really just a timer? So turning it up will just let the Wand continue heating for longer until timeout (and visa versa).

Hi, while cleaning the newly arrived v2 I noticed that the O-ring under the heatshield does not stay inside that little groove between airport and the heatsink fins

is that something to worry about? still waiting for it to fully dry to try it out, cant wait :)
