Disaster befell my beloved T1 on a recent fishing trip, I left it out to cool down and a bit of fishing braid must have stuck to the heatshield. When I next heated it up in the wand it was smoking like a good 'un and then the plastic coated dyneema braid was melted to the side of the induction shield
I had seen someone mention bar keepers friend so I picked some up (The Range sell it in the UK, was £1.99) and got to work. It really made lighter work of it than I thought it would, I cleaned the whole head in about 20 mins using a microfiber towel and cotton buds.
I didn't take a before pic but it was almost identical to the one on the left.
It could probably do with a polish up with some of that autosol that Brenyo mentioned but I'll probably leave it as is - until the next time!
