They're all super nice, will it just be the heat shield that gets the anodising? Purple and green 😍 or all black to match my t1

I think fair play for including an adapter, to use with a product not made by MH, also adjustable so that other dhv can be used.
I get that it could move if carried in a bag, but ..
don't think you can please all the people all the time . This is Brenyo's solution is all.

😀 I didn't even get any extra screens when I got my Anvil or Tornado.
Only time I've got a sleeve/ case when buying a dhv was with the Tempest.
Still waiting for my Grasshopper case which I ordered at the same time as my Grasshopper 😂

Labetkomp makes some sweet leather cases
Think Brenyo said he has a tube in the works.

Performance, to me, was ultimately more important than any case, which I may or may not use.

Hope you enjoy getting to know your Tempest 🤙
Grasshopper, brings back memories of the 2 weeks it worked for then the 1 day when I recieved the rma. Brenyos service is the best, all round really

Yeah the adaptor is very useful. It's less useful when travelling or using outdoors. But that's because Brenyo clearly wanted a solution that didn't lock the wand into only Tempest use. A lot of people complained about the V1 adaptor, and having to remove it to use their Dynavaps etc.

Considering vapes like the Convector XL where people just hold it at the correct depth, I think the solution is good. When using while camping etc, I'm just going to hold it at the correct depth. Not a big problem.

So here's a question. To use the wand with my Convector XL without having to just hold the dumb thing at a specific depth, I took my dyna adaptor and basically carved out half the material of the interior ring so the Convector XL head fits in it and sits at the right depth. It looks to me like the Tempest 2 head is smaller in diameter than the Convector XL, so it seems like it should fit right in there. This is all presuming insertion from the rear, which the Convector XL requires, still waiting on my Tempest 2 so not sure about that aspect.

Anyone tried that or similar? I've also seen folks with the Convector XL cut some circles out of a silicone mat to push in and set a depth stop.

VapinBassist,
Will the new head + bowl be available in different colors too? I love the V1 blue head and mostly use it with the bonger so I'd lose out on colors 😥

I'm looking forward to playing with the new wand adapter. Its true that the size would make pocketing the wand harder, but thats not something i currently do since if the insert shifts i wouldn't be able to set it again without light and magnification. i am wondering if the new insert allows easy adjustment for different teds? i think there is a dial that you can turn to adjust wand depth right? I'm wondering if i can put marks or something on the adapter to easily remember where to set it for the tempest and the tornado and switch between the two? its not a huge deal, i find the tornado is much easier to set the depth for based on the holes so swapping between inserts is not a problem as long as the tempest one remembers its position, which it seems to with the new insert.

Since the color for the Tempest 2 is all in the heat shield, I imagine that those who consider the color a crucial element are likely to purchase additional heat shields. There are certainly those who like to dress up their vapes. ;)

A full 360° turn is 2-2.5mm in depth I think.

that green one is my favorite. the bare one really looks weird, is this the closest you can get to "titanium-color"?

sad news: i just had to ask for a delayed delivery of my v2. my vacation is getting dangerously close. was really hoping to make some sexy outdoor pics, but well, it is what it is :/ i guess i will be the proud owner of the last delivered pre-order v2!

I've only used mine with the wand so far. No issues. Using it with the new adaptor.

The T2 has more cooling than the T1 Direct flow + SCU. More airflow too imo.

I was using the SCU for a long time, but I ended up taking it out as it made the stem gunk up more quickly!

I did a native DTL session with the V1 yesterday. If you push the temp for a OHE it was giving the same throat hit I get from the V2

I'm liking the new wand adaptor with the V1. I think it gives better extraction than the glass adaptor
Thank you both for sharing your thoughts on the comparative cooling between the t2 and my preferred t2 config - sounds like I'll enjoy it at least as much as everything else @Brenyo has brought to market for us. I can't wait.

I voted black, but only by the slimmest margin. I would have loved to be able to choose more than 1 or vote 5 times.
I really like them all apart from the silver one. Can't wait to see the wooden sleeves too when they are ready.
I had that same response at first but the silver started to grow on me, I actually rather like the contrast, and agree 100% on the wooden sleeves. I hope the T2 gets robust aftermarket support, I'd love to see what some of the amazing wood artists we have doing TED stems could come up with also.

Oh hell yes, I would love that option - matching sets of heat shields and reloads depending on the occasion or mood? I would have at the very least black and green, but then my purple reload would be lonely so... yeah I'd end up happily buying the full range of colors.

I chose blue as my favorite color because it would then match my reload, but I also like the purple one and green looks great too. I would frankly be happy with any of the colors.

I'm No Superman!
I get an error 01

V2 runs at a slightly higher power

I've already encountered error 01 during R&D with the wand (with SUS430 alloy). I don't think it's due to the extra mass/power because I noticed this:

As you can see, with significant thickness, the error 01 no longer appears. The probability of a 2.0/2.5 mm thickness working with full batteries (3 - 4 level) is relatively high. By keeping the same design (than the previous one with the error) but using magnetic SUS420(J2) or SUS440C instead to increase alloy hardness (SUS430 is non-hardenable), there are no errors (without increasing the hardness, these alloys indicates the same error as SUS430 with this design). A mirror finish also solves the problem. Hardness and roughness seems to be one of the key points here (even with a very thin thickness, it works)

I don't know if it's a faulty wand (I have contacted Aspire/Ispire/Ispure/Eigate several times and by different means but I have never received a reply from them, this company is a real ghost), but it seems to have difficulty to detecting certain alloys (mainly relatively soft martensitic or ferritic stainless steels). Sometimes, inserting it very slowly can work too (the sensor seems very sensitive, and when it approaches the output (the opposite hole) the risk of error is higher). I think some slight variations in alloy composition or finish may cause this error here

@Brenyo what is the alloy of the induction sleeve/indicator housing?

Of these colors, I like green by a decent margin. Next choice would be black. As far as the silver color goes, I'm not sure if I like it or dislike it yet. Now if a wooden sleeve was made, take my money.
