So it's looking like the shipping of the TI Tempest2 is completing and there are lots of happy Tempest2 users out there.
Has @Brenyo circled in on a date for the store to start taking preorders for the aluminum shielded Tempest2 for "the rest of us"?
To avoid drooling into my beard I have somewhat stepped back from this thread recently, so I don't know if Brenyo has shared any new release info...
Not yet, I wouldn’t expect the pre-order to start before the end of June and the shipping around end of July.

There were too many QC issues with a part and the replacements will only arrive on the 9th, so a few orders will have to wait until then unfortunately. I’ll include extra gifts for the customers who had to wait that long. Sorry for the delay. If your order isn’t shipped by Monday, you’ll need to wait unfortunately or I can send a refund.

Does that apply for orders from the EU shop aswell? Had my delivery delayed because of my vacation. Do i have to wait longer now?

And one more question: will we be able to buy colored heatshields seperately? I really like some of those new colors.

Please send me an email with your order number through the UK site.

Yes, there will be shields available separately.

Ty Bremyo for processing my order. I also ended up adding the ruby/quartz balls and spare screens on my order.

Everything was packaged well and it took about 8 days to arrive to me(somewhere in West Coast), since MH sent the "ship out" notification. And yes!!! I did not get any bill to pay tariff/tax. MH delivered and great service as usual.

Before using, I iso soak/ dishwashsoap the stem+bowl. Not including cap. Dry after.

Initial impressions compared to Tempest V1
Airflow is definitely improved/more on V2
AVB color is more even all round on V2
I appreciate the stock colored VI. Much easier to see:)
Better heatshield and easier to grip.

Atm, I am still using the v1 glass wand adapter. From cold
Wand temp set to 725f
Pull till timeover message.

Heres some vids

Tempest 2 has arrived

Got delivered to me in the US before any of the tracking #'s updated, no extra tariffs/payments required.

My first impressions are that this thing is very cool, and I'm gonna need more time to dial in exactly how I want to use it.

Having so many options to customize with the different ball types is very enticing. :science:

I'm still getting used to how hot this thing gets and stays, but I'm loving the visual indicator which is a new concept for me.

I've gotta do more testing to evaluate this beast. :sherlock:

Gotta say, much as it pains me to write nice things so thoughtlessly (😉😎), but it's lovely to hear the sounds of T2's dropping pain-free the other side of the pond (and elsewhere), to provide relief to those likely in great need - what an anxious and frustrating experience all this tariff chaos and the rest of it must be. I go near psychotic just because a bank holiday delays a delivery.

Right, that's enough niceness (or as near I get), where's there something to criticise? 😏

After 9th June or 9th July for unshipped UK orders? I can wait. 👍🏻 Just setting expectations 😊

Do you need to loosen the screw on the indicator housing to twist the airflow on the head? Mine doesn't seem to want to twist like the v1.

Yes. One of the many improvements. the ability to lock your preferred airflow setting in place.
That’s cool. A few times with my V1, the head airflow moved on me without me knowing, and I was like “Why does it feel so restricted??”, then I noticed.

Ha! First time that happened to me, without thinking I tried to open it up using my sweatshirt to hold the exceedingly hot cap having forgotten modern materials melt at the drop of a hat - lucky I had a spare sleeve - whadda mess! 😖
