by george, I have been sublimated!
I bought the 18mm adapt a bong kit after reading most of this thread. I would like to add I ordered this thing yesterday morning, and 26h later the mail man handed it to me! thx PV! my reasoning for this was I intend to get the launcher (
http://www.sublimator.ca/img/p/29-81-thickbox.jpg) and a GG bong shaft like the gear one he has eventually. I will want something without logos though, I dislike all the flash and am a minimalist at heart!
been gone awhile and what do I come back to see? a new canadian vape has hit the scene? cool! it's very low profile and I like the little metal stand it came with.
I don't know about you guys but, you store yours (both pieces, apollo, and atomizer) together and then in the stand right? it's working great for me. that way I don't leave it sitting in my bong, at risk of my dog knocking it over. but i still keep the atomizer part up to temp at all times too.
so i did the burn off until I could not see or smell any more vapors coming off of it. then i turned it down to 50% the vapor was tasty, but not cloudy as you see in the videos. I did this 3 or 4 times, using about half a solo bowl's worth of herb.
the screen was a pain in the butt! It was very solid and well built but didn't fit in the cone as I read it should be. so i have a scoopula. I used that to stab at the screen gently on the edges where it wouldn't go in. after about 5 min of fiddling with it I got it to bend a little bit and now it fits in there snugly. so glad i did that as it's no longer difficult to work with.
so then I decided to turn it up a bit. i'd say i am at 75% now 2 bowls of that and oh boy!!!
2 bowls of that and I am indeed in orbit! I believe my LVS is going to be packed up and put on standby for the time being. doing it waterless like suggested, and it's true that it's not harsh! I am impressed! there must be something to this atomizer thing. I don't understand the physics behind how it changes things, but I sure would like to! it's just brings up so many questions. and gets my head tingling just beginning to think about it
more specific things to come as i become more familiar with this great new device! I am really glad it doesn't have a timer on it. will any of the future models have a shut off feature? the timer was a PP of mine regarding the cloud. the mail man woke me up and I was only 2 h into my sleep for the day, so I am heading off again! ttyl FC! I missed this place!
@ Enrico, how come the apollo is made of Steel, but the e-nail is Ti? why isn't the apollo Ti also? I am just curious
I love your product so far man! great job!
also as a upgrade suggestion, is there a way we could get a light on the box to indicate the machine is on? It's not super important, but since there is no shut off timer (thank you!) the reminder of a light would be nice to have.
I think the OVNI and sputnik are very cool too! I could see bouting the OVNI just for times when three are power outs or I am in my back yard!
