I don't really expect this to be a whole new experience, but if it gets me where I want to go smoothly and with one hit, I'll be satisfied.

(I'm still hoping for the whole new experience though)

If you've ordered an 18mm atomizer, you may be waiting until monday; quoth planet vape:
"Hi,

We started shipping Sublimator Adapt-A-Bong Kits yesterday and noticed there is a slight problem with the 18mm kits. The 18mm atomizers Sublimator sent us to exchange with the 14mm ones in the Adapt-A-Bong Kits are slightly too small to fight tight in a female 18mm joint. Sublimator is machining new ones already and hope to get them shipped to us Friday which means we should have them Monday.

If you can wait until Monday to have us ship your 18mm Sublimator Adapt-A-Bong Kit, then you will get a proper sized 18mm atomizer. Very sorry for the sizing issue, Sublimators are a brand new product and were designed initially for 14mm only, but customers asked for availability of an 18mm kit and we tried to accommodate the requests last minute and just got the parts yesterday, which when we tested found they were just 0.8mm too small.

Hope this is okay with you, our apologies for the delay.

Thanks again for your patience.

Kind regards,

PV"

either way im pretty excited about it.

apparently they've been in discussion with enrico and theyre being shipped anyway. the issue being resolved upon the unit attaining temperature. id say having it a little loose (when cold) will help it not get so tight once at temperature, and less likely result in the type of break in the instagram feed.

So apparently the grill and moon tool no longer comes with it. They are redesigning it and possibly making it in titanium to be sold separately. Booooooo...come on guys, you couldn't include a basic pick?

Other than that, I am enjoying myself :science:

Edit: I hate to open up this can of :worms:I am not an electrician, but what are thoughts on this only having a two prong?

what jamb said ... most of my kitchen appliances are 2-prong. not necessarily a problem. but the >500°F scares me. can you set it to 380°F (using thermometer) and try it. and, of course, how much it drops during the hit.

At this moment I am feeling pretty damn high...but I need a few days to see it's just part of the excitement of getting a new toy. :smug:

Glad to hear the hits are not harsh. I know it's early to tell..but do you think you feel a 'cleaner' high? How would you rate the ease of use?! I mean do you see yourself knocking things left and right while using the Sublimator or just set and forget style :D Can you get big clouds with a soft draw? :D Enjoy your Sublimator!

My HA is only a 2 prong... and the Sub is supposed to only pull about 45watts... but I'm no expert either.

But the Sublimator is fully made in steel. I found weird that they did not put an electrical and thermal insulation on the body.
I am clumsy when i am high and could burn myself or break the bong filled with water :\

I don't know that there's much room for insulation. I'm no engineer, but in the small area they've got to heat and make it fit into a pipe joint would probably cause more bulk than it was worth.

Last video said 'this is not a toy, or something to be irresponsible with'. I don't see it as any more potentially harmful than using a torch for dabbing. It's all in the users hands, ultimately. As long as the unit is safe to operate under 'normal' conditions I think that's about what we can ask for. That's why I really wouldn't mind an 'auto-off' function. Maybe have it optional, or on a toggle switch for times you have people over and really want to keep things going, but ultimately it could save your house and life if things get too foggy and it falls over unattended still at temperature.:2c:

Fire hazards ain't no joke, homes.

I decided to get this to plug the Sub into: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000P8COIS/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I'm not at all worried, but it couldn't hurt, it wasn't expensive, and I like that it's small so it can stay paired up with the Sub. if I travel anywhere with it. I suppose if you are truly concerned about it not timing out, you could put a manual timer in line as well.

:rockon:Sub is in transit
