My apologies for the noob question, but im new to the whole glass thing- what is the 19/19 and 19/22 thing?
Your welcome! Mark is a great guy to do business with.Nice one @Lazy Lighting! Much appreciated!
I have that adapter on my splinter, works great. If you are ordering I highly advice a cooling mouthpiece as well. It's all I use now.Do you mean these GonG adapters?
What are the differences to any other adapters of this kind aside the internal glass screen which shall be useful just for whole nugs?
Which accessories (stems, top hat chamber etc) from 420edc are also recommanded for the Splinter and why?
Doesn't Ryan offer stems, screens etc. offer himself? Or do I have to order accessories exclusively at 420edc?
Am also interested in the XL8R but that is currently not offered at Ryan's site.
A 19/22mm to 14/20-whatever would be the best. Buy it at any of the online shops: grasscity, thickassglass, tokecity, wherever. As of now Ryan doesn't have any plans to sell them. I'm gonna suggest to him that he does cause he's getting the real good German glass now & he can get ones that fit great for the 19/22 & the new 19/19.
Also, you can buy stems from 420edu as the 19/22 stems that 420 currently has is supposed to, per Ryan, be backward compatible.
Are there two versions of the Splinter out there, one with the 19/22 joint and one with the new 19/19 joint? And there's been talk about backward compatibility of stems? I've emailed Ryan but I've not heard back.Write them & ask them if they got one of the new 19/19 Splinters
So only 19/19 joint stems will fit the current Splinters? It's the size of the glass. First is diameter second is the lengths. Basically before you could insert a stem up to 22mm deep now it's 19mm deep.
Any edc stem that fits the milaana will fit the splinter, FJ’s new wood stems also fit if you don’t have an issue with the pod sitting on the heater screen and it being a little lose but for ease of use I don’t mind itI still don't know what stems will fit my Splinter, does anyone else have a problem with stems not fitting?

Are the new 19/19 joint stems currently available from online retailers? I checked on 420edc and the RBT Short Stems are called out as "19/22 US Joint".
Edited to add:
Just saw this post.

I received two of the long stems with my Splinter. I've measured the stems, Splinter, and other fittings I have (and posted a photo) but with a sample size of one Splinter I had nothing to compare it with.Aren't you able to measure that joint so you know what length you have?
Thank you!! This is what I've been looking for, confirmation that there are two different versions of the Splinter that have been sold. My Splinter order receipt is dated June 19 and I received my order on July 2 so it seems that I have the 19/19 joint.Edited to add: I found this on IG where Ryan said that the 1st Splinter using 19/19mm was produced, & this was only on 6/23. If anyone did receive the new glass Splinters it would have had to be less than 2 weeks ago.
Thank you again for your reply. I've been trying to follow Ryan on IG and reddit but without finding concrete information. Now you all know as much as I do. All I'm personally waiting for is the website to sell the basket screens & I'm set.
I recall Ryan switching over t
o the 19/19 German glass for the Vapefiend order -- he was waiting for delivery of the glass, but I don't know if any US waitlist ones went with 19/19 glass at the time of delivery of the glass. I know that all international orders will have the new glass. And I don't know how many US ones shipped with 19/19.
Interesting to hear this @almost there. All of my Tubo stems make contact with the heater screen of my Splinter (bent stem, 18mm WPA & DDave Vapor Cooler). They still work with the Splinter but I can rotate them when inside the female joint of the Splinter quite freely. Here’s a little food for thought, all my tubo stems and the half dozen mountainglass stems fit the splinter perfectly. As a matter of fact I had most of my color stems tucked away because they didn’t fit my Mi so well, it was a huge shock to see how tightly they sealed with the splinter. The gongs from Thickassglass work perfect too in case anyone is looking, they’re nice and thick, lol.

I ordered 6/18 I believe. My unit has the 510 completely recessed and flush with the wood.
Maybe not, here's mine with the 19/19 joint. Look's like there are several limited edition Splinters out there.Mine isn't flush with the wood and is 19/22 so guess that's a easy way to tell apart. Pluses and minus I guess. Have tons stem that fit...but not sitting flush doesn't look as good as flushed.

I'm just happy to have gotten one, I'm loving mine.
Got my hands on a DNA250c. Anyone try Evolv's Replay Mode on the Splinter?
DNA75C users, install the latest version of escribe from the evolv website, It offers a DNA75C firmware upgrade with Replay mode.No what does replay do?
I have a dna75c and still messing with escribe. I can’t find where to change the TCR value. Anyone know how to do it in escribe?
I am getting decent results with titanium 1 at 24 watts and between 260-290 for temp. I still feel like it gets a little hot after a few hits and have to let off the button.
Love using my splinter and messing with the settings. It really is a great device and I’ve had multiple people who are purely smokers use it with ease.

I'm getting a heat sink so as to be able to detach the Splinter from the mod via the heat sink so I don't have to keep unscrewing the 510 Splinter adaptor directly so as it doesn't separate from the wood as has been know to happen.
