If you take out the space after the / and before the word QUOTE and the spaces on either side of the = you get this...

Not quite sure why at postimages this surrounds the image link itself
[u rl=[URL]https://postimages.org/]test[/URL][/url] as it seems to work without it.

It must allow for some feature I'm not using, like posting multiple images at once...

Oops, too late to add this to the post above but I wanted to add about using postimages.org, if you grab the "Hotlink for forums" you can drop that, as is, right into the post you are making. No need to use the image box in the compose window on FC.

So, this is kinda interesting. The actual image link is h ttps://i.postimg.cc/NG9QHVyC.

The 2 images posted above are the same, the first one includes the
[u rl=[URL]https://postimages.org/]test[/URL][/url] that surrounds the image in the hotlink postimages presents, the second does not. Also notice that if you mouse over the first image it is clickable and will take you to the postimages home page, so kinda an advertisement. The second picture without the surround is not clickable.

Yeah, I know, I'm easily entertained...
