Discontinued The RBT Milaana (unregulated single 18650)

RBT uses his Milaana with no filter. At least, he was when I got mine a few weeks ago. His advice for me was to use a filter if I'm in the barn, or sawing in the workshop. His only concern was that particulate might get in and burn on the heater and spoil the flavor of a bowl (and require a burn-off to resolve); not that it would create any show-stopping issues.

Yes, but finished units have the screen in place, more open than the mesh but I dont think it is really replaceable anymore, meant to be left alone with wide open flow as I understand it

Milaana arrived from PV today.

no complaints about the cosmetics, though the seal between the base and the unit seems a little uneven. overall, it is smaller and lighter than I anticipated and definitely has a 'homemade' feel to it. I like it. hoping to do initial tests tonight.

Wish I had one of those, thinking PV was the way to go. Shoulda bought Mia 2 from PV, I'd be hitting off it now, totally worth the $70 bucks. I'm into this bad boy over $600 anyway (2 Milaanas, 7 stems, 9 batts, 2 cases, 1 battery tester, guitar pics, battery cases, and more), I just need a Milaana.

I tried to carb the hole like @GTAVaper or someone mentioned (sorry if I wrongly appointed credit here) but I did not care to add restriction. I simply adjust my pulling technique to change my vapor density and to avoid or cause hot spots. I like to avoid hot spots for the first 3-4 hits. Then for the next 3-4 hits I like to create hot spots! Low temp finished off by high temp! :whoa:

Nope.....that wasn't me.
I have preached the virtues of restriction in the Apollo thread but not in this one. I do believe that I remember reading that technique as well in this thread but I can't remember who proposed it.

Meant to mention my PV Milaana has the burn marks on the bottom and the glue seam is pretty sloppy.

All the cuts and stuff on top around the stem are super clean and nice looking, copper thing is a little scratched on top, button was scratched, but overall it's pretty nice. A little sanding on the bottom should take care of most of the unevenness and marks.

Let my buddy who owns a Grasshopper and previously owned Firefly/MFLB try it today and he was impressed. Was getting huge clouds with tiny little draws in no time.

Hell again! I'm back with another super low budget water pipe adapter.

DIY Milaana WPA using the stock stems for $2.00 that anyone can do!

I was on my way home from the P.O. and stopped in my local sears hardware and walked around all vaped to see what I could find.

I came across these silicone connectors.
They are battery clamp covers and come in many sizes in black or red.

The two I purchased were the smaller of the them all.
Small one was $2 the little bigger one was $3.
You can see the small one has a lip on the inside, This is the one that works!

As you can see, the silicone cover slides right over top of the stock mouthpiece very secure. I even added weight for the hell of it to see if it stayed snug. It sure did.

The silicone WPA will work in most all waterpipes but can be also trimmed if necessary for a perfect fit!:)

This is super simple, works great, and is only $2!

***I would soak the silicone in coconut milk or at least ISO before using as I always do***

I found that this adapter is pretty close to Ratchetts Song and fits many other applications too because of the taper. It works on 18mm, 14mm, and possibly even 10mm female glass.

:peace:

:science:
anyone have luck finding these? went to an ace and home depot but neither place had any idea what I was looking for even after seeing the picture.

@Bravesst did you use the RMA form from the website?

I emailed about broken glass Tuesday and received a replacement Friday.. even got an email from RBT thanking me for being an early adopter...

It actually restored some faith I have in RBT beyond making a great product.

It was a holiday weekend...maybe that's it?

If it were me though, I'd probably just find a matching glass female and glue it in...

If there is old glass present, I would heat it with a torch from the surface of the glass for a few moments and remove.

That does sucks though.
I'm a little confused here, how exactly are we supposed to get in contact with @RastaBuddhaTao for warranty service? Email or through the warranty tab on his website?

I only ask because I have submitted three different warranty requests over the past three weeks and have yet to receive a single response. They were submitted through his warranty tab on his website. Resubmitted to make sure I had all info correct. I have checked all email folders. It's really starting to piss me off.

What good is a lifetime warranty if it will take a lifetime just to get a response?
I am one of the earliest adopters of the Milaana and am being ignored.

End rant.

Edit
I was also very polite in all my attempts to make contact, so that's not the problem either.
He also has no email listed, or any other way to contact for that matter, so I see no other way to go about this.

Not to be a bummer but IMO I believe you have a hair crack line on your short stem, I'll check about it...
Congrats on your new Milaana.
Stay vaped...

I emailed, no answer. Finally emailed Sheila, she suggested I fill out web form and send in, no offer of a replacement. I'll ask.

If God is the answer, then the question is wrong
Does anyone who bought from PV know how warranty will be handled in this scenario?

My question is: in case of a warranty turnaround will PV be only a further step before reaching RBT (taking even a little longer) or there will be a fast direct exchange (dead unit for new unit) from PV?

Also who will pay warranty shipping?
Maybe @PlanetVape could chime in?

Eh...that isn't cool! That's how I got in contact with him...I don't have any real suggestions for you.

Nice or rude emails shouldn't matter for responses either.

Nor will I make excuses for RBT.

Warranty form is still the way to report any issue, and no one knows how quick, I think the system is still being set up regarding time and such, maybe there will be an update soon. As far as PlanetVape replacing units, that is up to them, but there hasn't been a fully DOA unit yet, just repairs on broken units and one cold unit... I believe only return shipping is covered though
