Great video!!

Do you grind your herb at all?? I think I'll try the whole chunk way, sounds very flavorful. Crumbling it down as it cooks sounds like a great idea!!!

If i want to or need to conserve material I will crumble down the load after about 5 hits and keep ripping away. The herb will really give some rips at this point still, but flavor is greatly diminished.

But material is plentiful for me so i honestly typically dump the load once the flavor is gone. I know there is still lots of actives in my duff chunks but it doesn't bother me.

If you have never tried a whole chunk with the RBT heater tech i highly recommend it. Even with moist material if possible. Flavor heaven IMO.

Edit. I use a good size chunk and stuff that screen full. Cram it in there. It works better than if you have a really small chunk without fully stuffing the bowl.

I'll just wait for feedback on the half dozen + that have recently shipped. I would say that between Ryan and myself, we are vaporists compared to the team building the initial batch of Milaana, plus there have been many lessons learned over the past 15+ months of the world post Milaana.

There's a canary sitting here that I can't help but look at.

Why do I have VAS for a vape I already own?!

I will pick another one up when the right sale comes around!

Yes, especially seeing how easy it would be to upgrade even existing Milaanas.

Reaming out the hole, assuming there's enough wall thickness, wouldn't be too bad but isn't trivial. But I don't think the post has an extra 5mm of height needed. You could take the bottom cap and bottom battery contact off and drill that down deeper though.

Though TBH that sounds like enough labor to be worth machining a new body.

Even though my og milaana is likely one of the cooler/less efficient models, I haven't been able to convince myself to buy a new version for a variety of reasons. But I would be first in line to purchase a milaana ii, if it incorporated this new 20700 battery technology then it wouldn't matter so much which model I have lol.

It's on my things to do list. I already have a heater in mind.

@ZC : Right, I might have said that a bit fast...

I checked with an actual cell and the hole diameter is already super close, so we wouldn't need to enlarge it much.

But you have a point with the post length... and I don't think we can easily extend it without having to open the bottom of the device...

That being said we're not missing much height-wise either. With more washers and a much thinner top nut... could be on the limit.... (I'm checking while writing, but yeah, too short)

An alternative we could envision would be to remove the top copper contact and replace it by a different one that would be in the form of an arch. See what I mean?

Dude! So much flavor. I think I'll have to support Ryan and get a splinter also!

Any suggestions about my previous post about heat? I'm kind of nervous to use my milaanas. I guess, worst case, I can send them on to someone who won't be nervous.

There are times my Milaana feels hotter ("fresh battery").

If you are concerned would suggest you purchase something like this https://www.amazon.com/Thermometers...06&sr=8-2-spons&keywords=ir+thermometer&psc=1

Then check out the external temp under a few different conditions.

Peace of mind for $10 what a deal!

I went back to my milaana after using the tubo for a while. I have 3 of them including the original but none are the very recent ones. The wood got very hot. I'm not used to that with my MVT or Tubo vapes and don't remember whether that's just normal for the milaana or whether there's a problem. The one I tried was my most recent. I'll check out one of the older ones to see if the same happens.

My zion is also one of the early ones (#20) even though I just got it. Ryan did a bit of fine tuning to make sure it worked but I think the newest ones are updated a bit.
Depends on your definition of hot? I just had a sesh with mine and it got warm on the outside by the end. Almost cozy pocket warmer warm, but not quite... If I go back to back it gets all the way there it is really pleasant especially when its cold out, but I wouldn't say it ever really got hot.
Dificult to say if/what is wrong, do all your Milaana act the same?
Always gonna feel some heat come through the wood eventually there is only so much of it.[the wood that is]
Sorry if I am writing gibberish I just did lots of :science: collecting valuable external wood temperature data for this post :ko:

All of these devices are heaters, let's keep that in mind. The electronics are minimal, so if they are working and you are getting vapor, I don't see a reason for concern as long as your batteries are up to spec and aren't old with heavy usage. I always spread some of our wood conditioner onto the Milaana at the end of the day after the last use to soak into the wood and dry overnight. The wood is warm and it helps the coconut oil infused with beeswax apply easily. I would say this is par for the course and no reason for concern.

I own some not-so-shabby vapes but this is all I vape with basically. I always use the 14mm stem. Always delivers as massive a hit as I want. Occasionally reach for the nano but this thing is better suited to my needs. I usually require stealth so I keep it in an appropriate access place, use it right there or move about if I want/need to. Within 15 seconds mission accomplished (I tend to work with a single healthy hit at a time). My batts are a non issue. LG brownies, still good for 12-15 hits at a minimum after a year's use.

Does anyone keep their battery in the unit With the guitar tab in place to stop accidental fire a long period of time. Will it effect the battery or the unit?

No issue.

I left my battery in without anything between, but it was on my desk with no fear of button getting depressed. It was fine and the battery drain was virtually nonexistent. Even better with the guitar pick in between

So the battery does drain a bit when not press huh? I didn't think that was possible but I though about that idea. after leaving at my desk for a couple hours then coming back ...Maybe the battery felt weaker or I forgot how much i actually drained before I left

Nope not possible if it is draining when not in use then the button must be getting pressed. The button completes the circuit when pressed so not pressed should mean no drain... This is why they come with the safety pic now to avoid accidental ppwer on which could cause catastrophic meltdown as it could over heat and damage the heater or worse cause the bat to vent as there is no low voltage cut off

Yeah, that's what I meant, 0 drain! It is fine if you know the button won't be pressed.

Even with this Milaana (Karma) I still feel I have WAS and need new wood. Ugh. It really is a struggle.
Get something that's pretty to look at as well as to use. Even after having this guy for quite some time now, I still spin it in my hands and feel the softness as I look over all her angles. She never loses her glow.

Any tips on inserting a brand new set screen in the stem nicely? Edit:Besides dDave mod
I kinda like push in the edges and just sorta force it in. Prolly won't go in right away. Flip it around and try it the other way. Just keep going for it .. it'll get in. Maybe wear gloves, helps with the pokeyness of the screen and juuuuuuust in case the glass breaks, although I don't think any cases of that happening.

Pretty much what I did. It was hard making sure it sits evenly.
