I'm just spit-balling here, but you could get one of these for your computer if you have a tower:

Then your same plug works in the car, on the go, and at home!
But you'd of course need to make sure your computer's power supply is rated well enough.

Probably not worth the risk but a fun thought.

I have one of the early models which works fine. But I've noticed that lately the wood is becoming very hot.
Is anyone having increased heat on the wood body when you're vaping?

I am afraid of exactly that. Nice for an occasional fun night. My screens are always spotless by just using Mi's heater to blast clean. This can happen in the sesh, or post session with an empty stem. The dry heat just pulverised the screen.

To me it works better when it fully "heat soaked" I can release button and continue to pull for 4 or 5 seconds. I get long powerful sessions like this, total sweet spot. To cool quicker, hold it in your hands, allowing lots of skin contact, and the heat will conduct out of the wood body faster.

I have 2 joda stems coming, halfway between long and short!!! Best of both worlds in black and red drip. I do agree, using short stem makes Mi feel like an extension of my lips and mouth, winds up being most flavor and coolest. The mouth is not supposed to be a foot away from the heat.

Just sent @AJS my technique overview from herb prep to teaching newbies. Looking fwd to see what he puts out there.

I dont really do anything to keep it clean just blow out the abv after a sesh. But even if I let it go cold it still blows out, and if I blow the next bow after out when its hot its back looking like that...

Don't let those charge unattended of course, but the same applies to Nitecore and other brands (which have basically the same chip inside too)

Recently I've been charging some of my Mi cells with my evic VTC mini on USB, and my Nitecore i2 feels shit slow in comparison when using the two bays at once.

Joda, cool, smooth, medium length, hefty cooling, finally arrived. This is my mama bear (just right), I can see it used regularly. Found a sweet spot between long and short. My throat and taste buds thank you Josh. I'm all in on this midlength hybrid. Long enough for cooling, short enough for feedback. The heftier glass might not be delivering the same level of taste that stock excels at. Clouds big, I think it allows higher temp hits, hence less flavor. Flavor still top shelf, but a hair less. It also accepts more herb, maybe ID a drop larger. I will have to mess with screen placement, herb distance to give a full evaluation. In the name of science, it'll be a good night.

Notice the smooth taper, changes feel of stem, might have to be a bit more careful. Wortth it.

First impression is that it looks/feels pretty good. Mostly smooth with a couple rough spots. Happy to find my m2m gong is the right size for it (at least I think, feels right). I thought it said it didn't come with a battery, but I got one and a Stores and Bickle grinder.... but no SS mesh for concentrates. And a bag of dorritos... bummed it's not ketchup chips just for the canadian novelty.

No screen in the long stem, but 2 spares in a baggie.

Hope to have good things to say in a few hrs.

Anybody got another hack alternative to the guitar pick? would a business card work? (I don't see why not)

IDK if I smell glue... but the stem hole smells a little different than the battery hole. Gonna see if any smoke rises when I hold down the button with a full battery and no stem.

Like 2 inches longer than shorty, but feels somehow larger, denser. Not sure if OD is larger (not in joint), but feels thicker. This leads to some heat transfer, and the Mi can spare some. Once soaked with heat, the stem gets nice and milky. My theory, however, is more heat can now be tolerated, hotter at bowl, taste wanes quicker.

Screen config is a bit different. It comes stock with a flat screen at the end of the joint, bowl left way too big for me, seems to not last that much longer, though effect may be greater. I put in an RBT screen, basket style was the only way I could get it to stay in place. ID definitely bigger in bowl. Glass joint is smooth and a hair shorter. The stems can fall out more easily, and with extra weight, be careful.

I still wanna get the RBT screen in factory style. I need to figure out how to do this, and do have a couple of simple ideas. Overall best non stock stem so far, but STILL NOT AS GOOD as stock. Great for a change, love all my stems, but damn you RBT, you nailed it first time around. Still, fun to play and share ideas.

BTW, Sony batts are powerful and last a bit longer. Like em.

I'm seeing lots of new blood in this thread. Good sign word is getting out and RBT will be around for a long time. Newbies, keep it simple, draw slowly, be ready to realease the button on this unregulated device. With a Milaana, you can milk to black ABV with good taste and no char, employing just basic technique.

Don't hold the button very long at a time doing that btw, it absolutely can start to smoke if you hold it too long at a time especially on a fresh battery. If you want to do that you gotta feather it probably, if you keep holding it the heater keep rising in temp, it is not designed to be constant. Manual should say no more than 5sec, with a fresh battery in particular i would say no more than 3sec though

The rimmed basket screens from Ddave work perfectly for my joda stem. Works way better than the flat screen it came with and imo better than stock.

Plus you can preload then and quick change them easy.

The more i use this vape the longer a load seems to last!
I am taking it pretty dark and the flavor is not too bad either!
Loving the low temp ride and almost 10 hits per stem of full flavor hits.
The Haze charger was actually doing a great job at charging the battery, verified by my new D4!
So far i will usually have 3 to 4 very small stems and the battery has gone down to 3.96. Still some juice left!
Usually there are at least 10 hits per stem! Lots of stirs and tamps but well worth it!

This is an excellent almost on-demand convection vaporizer!
One of a kind device everyone should learn to master!

I am thinking of buying another one to do in another color scheme and maybe some clear decals!

JUST broke into some good bud. I am using a technique involving thorough stirring and screen relocation during the session.

Screen loaded stock style. Load to 1/8 inch tip with medium tamp. Hit away. I got like 7 or 8 nice rips and sips. Using ratchet's 3 pronged stir tool, I give it a good spin, thoroughly stirring, reducing volume a bit. Push screen closer without unloading (things still a bit hot). I got another session, ABV black, taste never leaves. Milaana is an extraction machine.

Sent my super cold Milaana in for service on 7/27...no word back yet. I kinda miss the ole girl, Mighty and Lotus have been tag teaming in the mean time. Damn that Lotus kicks my ass too but I miss the ease of the Mi. Can someone else who has sent theirs in for warranty issues let me know how long it took them? Day 18 and no word back doesn't seem like good news on a vape with very few actual parts? There are only 2 real possibilities. The heater was defective or the heater wasn't getting enough juice. Either way seems like it would be a quick swap. Do you think it's possible that RBT is backed up with warranty issues?

I have been doing a little research on homemade wood stain. From what I seen steel wool and vinegar can create a grey tone, add some coffee or tea it will darken the color. This seems like a possible solution to staining my milaana a darker color. I have zero experience staining and plan to do a few test on random piece of untreated and unknown type of wood I have laying around. From what I understand maple doesn't contain as many tannins and would be best to apply a tea/coffee layer first then hit it with the vinegar and steel wool solution.

My biggest concern is the milaana will reek of vinegar. Second concern is will I survive waiting for this to dry taking the milaana out of service!

From what I read this is not a deep penetrating stain which to me seems safe. I plan to do this over the course of this week sometime. I will definitely get some pics of the process!

If anyone has experience with this please chime in with any info you have to share it will be greatly appreciated!

I've been dying to try that. Beware, my bottom plate fell off after applying many layers of cherry juice as stain, maybe compromised glue???. Nevsr really got too dark. Read about the vinegar, love to see results. Also stuff with vinegar and steel wool or pennies. Maple is tough to darken, good luck!

I'd definitely suggest getting some maple to test whatever finish before trying it on the Mi.
