I don't know really, it was the case with Zion already: yes you can combust, but you really need to like "playing with fire" (pun intended) to do it. When hitting it dry you usually know well in advance that you are in the process of overdoing it. The Mi with fresh battery is like a Zi set to full power but again if you pay attention to what you are doing it should be fine.
I think most combustion reports were either from testers purposedly pushing their device to the limit and/or users with elephant lungs hitting their device through large water bongs where there is a lag between the vapor produced and the vapor you inhale (you have to clear all that volume before tasting that it's too late...)
I really hope you're wrong about the heater. I want the ability to combust and not have to work for it, when I heard MFLSV or electric Lily that's what I was expecting. To be clear I'm not wanting to combust, but I walk a fine line. Hopefully the unit I get back runs hot.
I'm a little discouraged seeing everyone saying "its easy".
