The Plug-In Supreme Vaporizer

Amen to everything being said here. For something that has been rumored & hinted about for so long here & by Ed, this feels a little rushed out. :hmm:

I can't find it right now, but to the poster who said the SV4 doesn't look as nice as the 3, I totally agree. This vape is all about performance, but while some thought the 3 looked cold & ugly, I think it's beautiful! The metal on the handle has a grain almost thats really cool looking up close. Plus it has a huge S for a flexi neck!

Ed should just resume with the S3 and offer a kit to turn it into a digital unit or work with @JCat and get a winning combo for less $$$.
Yes! And ditch the Dually too. If your going to keep offering the Dually, at least give us the option for a single again!

So far, this roll out has been more than disappointing. I would of preferred the original wall charging unit that was being considered to this.

I have asked him about the issues discovered on FC and the almost Chernobyl experience of @biohacker !
Asked about how to ensure the controller is set up to function before plugging the S4 in and many other questions.
I started 11 days ago and TOTAL RADIO SILENCE.
This is concerning. Ed has never been known as CS wizard by any means, but man, 11 days. Not kosher. W/ vapes like GS & FP, not only do you get a insane vape experience like the Supreme, but someone whose on the forums who is interactive w/ their customers & their concerns.

You see this all the time on here now, I remember years back on here when manufacturers were much more open with beta testing and getting real world feedback from experienced vaporists. Now it seems like companies would rather release a total flop then have anyone try their designs before final release. All of these issues could have been solved with more testing.

I don't even think that much testing ... I started w/ prototype #1 as a concept ... it was too loose ... so I hypothesized that it was the "looseness" that was causing the lack of heat transfer, so I tried shimming it; this improved things considerably (brought it down from 750 to <650 on PID for it to work ... still >10 minutes heat-up). Prototype #2 was built tight, with no play at all on either side (none of my prototypes allow any movement of the coil once installed) ... prototype #2 heats in ~5 minutes and maintains a stable temp and only requires PID to be @470F for a good experience. So at this point I had worked out the kinks of how to get it to perform well, and all that was left was to work out the manufacturing kinks to allow for flexibility of coils, to ensure always a tight fit, and to minimize the mass as much as possible.

I really don't understand how Ed shipped the SV4 without realizing the coil had to be snug from both sides to achieve proper performance ... (this can be achieved through a tighter fit or shimming ... both work equally as well in my 3 prototypes ... the focus of prototype #3 was experimenting with routing the cavity on my router table and introducing aluminum 0.3mm shims ... the shims were a success and the routing was a learning experience, so I think prototype #4 will cover all the bases as far as ease/repeatability of manufacturing, flexibility, and reliable performance.

The irony is, they are shooting themselves in the foot while so naively going after that quick pot of gold.
Guys Im actually lost for words on all this. I was expecting a show, a magnificent one too resulting in guaranteed jealousy.;)

But this has turned into the most unlikely spectacle! I am seriously surprised at Ed's customer service right now. Honestly, not wanting to talk bad about him but I would have to question his mentality right now. It seems a bit insane to rush bodge a product out the door, which HE himself had same problems as Biohacker (yes blood:tup:), and then to show an atrocious lack of respect and consideration for customers with such an incomplete, seemingly badly thought out (and still very expensive) final version...shit, losing my words now, some heavy Elev8r hits prior...

So I, just a bit shocked. I REALLY hope Ed is making it a priority to fix the situation for everybody as soon as he can using the feedback, and less of a priority to answer individual concerns until he has done the correct thing. I hope.

Okay feeling wasted guys gotta go and lie down. Need some more vapor then nice dinner- baked sweet potato, broc and cauliflour, baked mackeral. Plus yummy curry sauce, olive oil...
AND- my mum made some proper raw sauerkraut. Wow, powerful as fuck! Blows probiotics out the water. The healing symptoms from decades of gut dysbiosys have been on top, but the diverse changes are also profound.:) And it's yummy stuff too.

I think we should give Ed some more time. I will leave this pic here from last night session. Maybe first sv4 milk shot in existence at the moment :)

I agree with @Dubmonkey ... lets not forget that Ed is the one who has brought us this wonderful vape with his unparalleled heat exchanger. The SV4 launch has been a little rocky, but I am hoping he makes it right for everyone involved and fixes all the issues.

Well done, Ed - bring the good stuff to the 3rd vape world of Europe!

Single S3 rules! HTF needs a dually? What for?

Still waiting for a sturdy adapter for the bowl tubes. These fucking o-rings give such a wobbly seat - I hate it. All my accidents with the S3 happened cause of that wobbly seat - thanks universe for no serious consequences. It wouldn't get a TüV certification for sure ;)

I never use those crappy o-ring grommets.... only 18/14 glass reducer adapter direct to the silicone. But I use a claisen so I carb. Might be trickier to insert/remove due to seal, but still better than those stock grommets IMO.

the 3rd vape world of Europe!

 AMEN

@ Distribution companies: THERE IS life beyond Volcano and Extreme Q, you know?

Customers know what they want & they'll keep on buying it OVERSEAS until you realise there is a market!
Please stop trying to sell us the stuff YOU want because you bought a warehouse full! Especially that China shit like it is solid gold FFS :zombie:... 3rd rate vapes that no sane consumer would even touch with a pole if he knew!

(Rant over)

I'd love to get one of those bad boys (preferably a dual?)! But 216E seems pretty fair

I'd go with the singular, as I received confirmation from Ed this morning that there are no more Singulars. Like I said, Ed sold out to Europe! So, that single is basically a collector's item unless Ed changes his mind and starts making them again. Who knows the reasons for his decision making.... he certainly doesn't seem to be listening to us?

As for Ed's customer service.... well, that's a good question because now ethics are involved, and I just initiated a PayPal dispute. :bang: I just want my money back so I can move on with my life. I'm done with Ed and the SV4. Sorry Ed, you did this to yourself.

A decision I can't understand. Why doesn't he give his customers what they want - at least to choose?
Haven't tried the S3 dually but I also can't see any sense in this construction. What shall be advantages?

Using two bowls at the same time? It can't really work regarding different lenght of air path while in use with a water tool bc you nearly always need extensions for a proper connection and therefore there is a different underpressure.

Also I don't need it. One big bowl is more than enough to give me the efx I'm searching for. Why a 2nd one?
During a sesh I can swap the bowls in seconds if necessary. I guess that's faster than fiddling with the connection of the two bowls to use them the same time.

So please tell me what's the dually making better!?

Sad thing is none of his other releases went like this...I remember one of the biggest complaints about SV3 is that it was so ugly and then after folks started hitting it and getting that milk and became the best thing since sliced bread. I hope Ed gets it together, my invoice for my SV4 is still on paypal waiting for me. I just cant purchase it right now. I will get it eventually, i just do not feel like paying 300 plus bucks to be a beta tester!!!

Thanks fellas, appreciate your kind gestures. Ed thinks something happened to the PID during transport and the wants ME to file some sort of insurance claim even though i'm in Canada and it originated USPS. I've been through something like this before, and the shipper had to do the entire process. Regardless, no refund, no return shipping address, so i've had to escalate this. Pisses me off slightly for my efforts to open this thread, spread the word, increase sales, etc. And then he says that JCat's E-Mod isn't as good as the SV4! :mental:

Sigh this really sucks. I really really like the SV3, but the way Ed is treating some of his first and most loyal customers is quite disgusting to me. Did Ed provide a reason why JCat's E-Mod won't be as good as the SV4? I seen JCat's videos and from what I see, he has a working product whereas Ed is still in the beta phase. Sucks you opened up this thread to promote a product you believed in and the creator bites you in the ass. And like I stated in my first response, the price is way too high for something like this IMO.

More efficient energy transfer via a weld with the SV4. I disagree.

I completely agree!

In all fairness, I think he's just confused on the process, and thinks the controller was sabotaged. Obviously he should stick with the SV3 and leave the electronics alone....way too much of a hassle to deal with warranties etc. Shame he didn't consult with some of the community on this project. I guarantee it would have had a much bigger jump outta the gate!

And like I stated in my first response, the price is way too high for something like this IMO.

If it was the absolute bomb, well worth it IMO. But the way it is now, I feel like I should have paid zero and have been thanked for testing it for him. Shit literally was a major fire hazard IME.

I still feel that the SV4 has great potential, but I can no longer support it for my own reasons. I'll only post again when I have a resolution to my case.
