So does that mean all the pongs/mp's we have now will have the same issue? I was never concerned about staining but going into the pores of the plastic is a bit off putting. I had also stated that I barely used iso except with a q-tip so I had no fogging as you had determined.
Bottom line is now what happens with all our old mp's and pong's because chipping is not kewl. I was very careful puting mine on and off and can't understand how it would have chipped unless it was that creeping that you are talking about. This will also mean that the mp/pongs need to be replaced ever few months.
So will be able to exchange our pongs and mp's for ones that this won't happen?
TRVB - Can we get a response here??? Several of us have PonG's with issues.
medium seems to work best but no matter what grind you'll always get full extraction. the bullet does not effect the MP. some have tried without the bullet and had good success.Just ordered a Pinnacle today instead of waiting forever for the Ascent. Just wondering best grind technique for best cloud result. Also saw some people dont use the bullet whats up with that? Is the mouthpiece really that loose?
For best results, your herb should be a bit dry to begin with. If it is not, your first couple hits won't be clouds, but after that it performs the same way. I use my extra-small 4-piece grinder upside-down to get a fine grind, then turn it back right-side up and finish grinding so that it sits in the chamber for easy access. I find this is the easiest way to pack a bullet: I use the bullet to scoop up ground herb from inside of my grinder, and then gently push the herb down with a standard bic pen. You don't want to squish the herb, you just want it compact. So push down until you feel a bit of resistance. I repeat the scoop and tamping 3-4 times, until the herb is right below the lip of the bullet. Then, just load up the bullet and fire away! I recommend having your first few hits on low, especially if the herb isn't too dry. When you start to see clouds, it's your choice whether or not you want to stay on low or not. For the best efficiency, stay on low until the clouds decrease, then bump it up to high. If you want the best clouds for quicker medication or to impress your friends or something, go straight to high after the initial hits. Or just start with high, it should work just as well, but the taste won't be ideal. Awwwwwwwwwwwww yis. TRVB comes through!Yes, we will be replacing old Pong and MP for new ones, I am waiting on an update from engineering on when they expect all new parts to be in.

For me the PN just flat out works better this way. Vapor production is better and some, not all, of that low temp problem I was having has been alleviated, meaning the medication level is more satisfying. I am amazed at how clean its staying just by using the included brush while its hot . . .Also saw some people dont use the bullet whats up with that?
Do you put a screen in the chamber? Would you mind taking i pic?For me the PN just flat out works better this way. Screen, no don't use one, and sorry no pic, I have doctor appts today . . .
The heat comes from the stainless steel sides for a large part. The white thing in the bottom is PTFE.
So they dont fall out of the device I didn't want to screw with a screen so I just don't bother. Something fundamental changed in my mind the other day that kinda facilitated this whole transition in usage. I was pondering the cleaning/materials/maintenance issue and something "clicked" in my mind and I now consider the PN to be disposable. Once I crossed that mental barrier, I am MUCH happier and I am just going to use it without worry and see what happens. If it dies, it dies . . .So why would you want your herbs on the bottom?

Edit: Here is a pic of the inside of my PN with about a half dozen full loads through it with no bullet or screen, and just a brush out while hot to clean.
Engineering's opinion is that is will eventually die with out using the bullet, but who knows how long that will be. One way of looking at life is that everything dies at some point!
Absolutely! I am not criticizing here AT all. I am trying to tone down my grasping reflex so I can align with the device more harmoniously. I guess you can use my data as a "test" of some sortEngineering's opinion is that is will eventually die with out using the bullet, but who knows how long that will be. I just want to produce the biggest clouds possible on the pinnacle while using the bullets. Fine ground dry bud .. anything else? Does the high temp taste bad? i cant imagine it tasting too bad.
