Finding yOur Roots
The JWST (James Webb Space Telescope),
successor to our eye on the sky, the humble, j/k , HST ( Hubble Space Telescope ).
About a month after the 2021 Christmas Launch, and 100 million miles out, it will begin to deploy its massive mirror(s) as well as its tennis court size heat shield.
Half a year later, after testing and calibration of its near
IR instrumentation, it will begin peering out into its immediate space, and into deep space, and time—some 13.8 billion years ago, when the first proto galaxies were forming in our yet to be known/nascent universe.
An exciting time.
