Not sure what kind of (messy) weed this is with the millions of cute lil white flowers... something bamboo-ish?:



The bull thistle and loosestrife are almost done for the year:



but the goldenrod and water lilies are still groovin'!:

These fox grapes (vitis labrusca) still aren't ripe yet:


these are (almost).... they smell waaay better than they taste:

A new Spot close to The Spot...! blueberries, sweetfern and grass sure makes it appealing to us, but The Spot is way more comfy/cooler... and somewhat level....!

It is either Guava or Walnut.
My guess is Guava.
I know .... one's a fruit, and the other a nut, but the fruit and the leaves of both are so very
like one another (until you eat them).

Excellent effort (as always), @Vitolo...! But seeing as guava do not grow outside in our cold climate, I think you may have been on to something with (black) walnut...!

We made it! Live with the skeets, bass (saw a good 2-3 pounder before bumbling to the edge), swallows and a noisy green heron just swooped down!:

And then after that, Lilly, Rocky and I went down to the other pond where The Spot is with the 6' Ugly Stik and a rubber worm and proceeded to catch a large-mouth bass pretty much every cast... each one bigger than the last...!:
