Ive got heaps of finds from this season so far...cool thread anything new?
Isn't this limited availability in some states in US, etc ....
Is there another ,more common, name for this mushroom?Just back home from a little hike. With a full basket of mushrooms !
Cantharellus Pallens, ★★★ edible
Aside from their fruity taste, I like the Cantharellaceae family because they always grow in small groups. The basket is quickly filled with these ones.![]()
It is called girolle in French and English. Is there another ,more common, name for this mushroom?
Thank you. I didn't realize I was responding to an old post. Sorry. It is called girolle in French and English.
Edit : sometimes wrongly called chanterelle.
What a find, definitely photo worthy!
It’s cool to see someone else who loves mushrooms. Getting into them really changed how I see things. Checking out places like https://gomicromagic.com/ helped me find good, reliable stuff from Canada.I’ve had decent results using brown rice flour and vermiculite with pint jars, just made sure everything was super clean and sterilized properly before inoculating. Patience was key.
