The most simple ABV recipes with the least amount of smell?

Hi there,
I am looking for some ABV recipes, that are somewhat out of my comfort zone but are still very easy and have the least amount of smell produced possible. I live with family, although I am in my late 20s. This is due to permanent disability, which is why I need the recipe to be pretty easy.

If anyone can help I would really appreciate it as I have a heap of the stuff stored and it will eventually go bad.

Thanks so much in advance!

:smug:😘

glowyjen,
I just wanted to add, I have an electric grinder that is pretty powerful, so I am able to grind it down very fine.

I did some simple cooking oil infusions back in the day, although it has been a while and I know they could be done better, they are an extremely stinky process unfortunately in my experience... Good luck! There are actually some machines that will do it for you, not sure if they smell less yet (I have a levo generation one that I have not yet used)

Your abv is already decarbed, and can be ingested directly if you can stomach it. Alternatively, you can put it in capsules.

If you are cooking or baking, there are no recipes that won't smell like weed. There are lots of recipes on Reddit, in both the abv and avb subreddits if interested.

BTW, the most cost-effective edible is usually RSO.

You can create a tincture or infusion without stinking out the house

Sous vide is quite popular or you can just throw it in a jar with alcohol or oil to steep and strain before use.

I have a lot of ABV and I'm also thinking about what to do with it... I have excellent experience with ice hash and butane concentrate, but so far only with new buds that have not been vaporized.
Does it make sense to extract with butane or ice if the ABV is without resin? Will it do anything? It seems to me that these techniques will no longer be enough, because they are not enough to penetrate the inside of the plant.
What do you think?
Classically, phoenix tears would probably be the best, but it takes longer, is slightly more dangerous, and requires more solvent, which evaporates much longer than butane.
Butane is also very pure and cheaper.

Just about the easiest thing is to make capsules. Mix the avb with some coconut oil and lecithin then just stuff some caps. It's pretty fiddly to do by hand but if they work well for you then you can get a capsule filling machine which helps make it a bit easier.

Bubble bags and sift screens won't work as the good stuff has been melted and absorbed by the AVB

I'm in the same position at the moment - with a big tub of AVB I've collected over the last few years, that I've cold water purged in preparation (that I keep thinking I ought to do something with but still not sure exactly what)
I think I'm probably gonna put most of it in my caffetiere with iso > filter > evaporate off the iso > dissolve in ethanol > place in the freezer overnight > filter to dewax > evaporate off the ethanol
And give the rest a soak in my butane extraction tube for 2 hours
To see what I get from the 2 methods

Going back to the original question - avb yogurt is easy to make. Just stir in as much as you like. I would use full fat natural yogurt to help the bio absorption. And be ready with a blob of jelly/jam on the side like one of those fancy pants yogurts pots you mix yourself incase you don't like the avb flavour.

You can take your ABV and place in a mason jar with your carrier oil or fat , seal lids and place in a water bath or slow cooker. 185 degrees for 4 hours . I prefer to use a sous vide for exact temps and times. Starin and filter. Let it set in the refrigerator . If your using MCT oil or any other liquid it helps to let it set overnight and then the solids separate and settle at the bottom of your vessel . If you use butter or coconut oil let it get hard in the fridge and scape of the bottom layer of plant matter. Very little smell involved :D. Good luck.

Either that or make oil with it. I did both and made capsules from both, with the oil being obviously stronger. For me I couldn’t get past the smell and taste so capsules don’t really have a taste other than an odd burp. There are ways to clean it up I guess but I never tried. ABV capsules are good for sleep and couch lock/pain.

I physically cannot burp, have never been able to so not an issue for me. I have made capsules in the past, but I literally have so much abv that it's not going through it fast enough, as my joints are clunky and make it slow at making the capsules. I still make them sometimes but it is a bit of a pain and very fiddly. I use an olive oil base (I have a prescribed oil with olive oil as the base, never caused gut issues so thought I would try it) an this eliminates the gut issues I have from it.

I have seen another thread about putting it in smoothies, how viable of an option is that?

Some time ago I water cured some ABV and it seemed to take away a good 60% of the smell. I cant comment on the taste or the potency as I didnt get around to using it!
