GSP beat the everloving fuck out of Condit in that fight and rightfully solidified his ranking as one of the PfP best in the world. (Okay, a solid #2)
Sure he didnt 'finish' Condit, but the NBK didn't finish Diaz (nor came close) and GSP far from LnPed his way to a decision - he was active and did more damage from the dominant position. (Plus, his jab was unstoppable)
And FWIW, the last person he stopped (via TKO no less) was another fighter with a nuthugger fanbase larger than Fedors ego - BJ Penn. (To the death LOL BJ)

he didnt even stop bj. bjs corner stopped him from fighting the 5th round or else it would have been another decision for gsp. when anderson stops stops somebody they usually cant even make it to the post fight presser they are so fucked up. GSP is a good fighter but he is very boring and i will not pay to watch him fucking hump somebody without showing the killer instinct anymore. it could also be greg jacksons fault he is more about the win then what Dana and the fans want which is highlight finishes, either way i want to watch anderson kill GSP so everyone will see what i already know. GSP would have no chance!!

To be clear i really love Anderson Silva but to count GSP out? surely not!
Anderson has shown good wrestling to be his only weakness and that is GSP's greatest asset. Im not saying GSP will win this but im not saying Anderson will either.
More interestingly GSP's team are suggesting Anderson come down to 170 to face him and not make GSP gain weight. The argument is GSP will be around the top weight if they use a catchment weight as he will try to go up and Anderson like all good fighters will run a weight cut regime and "balloon" up to a much higher weight (Anderson walks around at 230 weighs in at 185 and is over 200 on fight night in his normal weight class).
If they stick with the above approach then the fight will never happen as Anderson will not have an easy cut to 170 at the age of 37(or 38 not sure)

I'm not a hardcore MMA fan, but I've been following it for a year or 2 now, and I'd say GSP vs Condit was probably one of the more entertaining GSP fights I've seen... And I think that's because after Condits big head kick in the 3rd round it felt like something big could be coming any second 
He may be one of the best of all time, but I just don't find him entertaining to watch.
I swear there was a fight (I think against josh koscheck) where it was just 5 rounds of GSP doing jabs...
I get that you've got to respect that he's doing something his opponent cannot overcome, but, I'd rather not watch 25 mins of jabs...
I've got a similar feeling about Randy Coture...
I haven't seen him in his prime, but some of his later matches, he just gets his opponent against the cage and... That's it... Keep them against the cage, repeat for 3 rounds isn't a match I want to watch, even if its a sound strategy...
Then you compare it to silva, I can only remember 1 fight of his I felt wasn't very exciting, the one against *quick google* Damien Maya where he sorta hammed it up for 2 rounds, then ran away for 3...
I guess what I'm trying to say is, as someone watching a fight, I'd rather see a guy fight entertaining and loose, than fight boring and win

Big fight coming up guys and what a way to end the MMA year with JDS vs Velasquez. JDS has some of the fastest hands in the division but cain owns the best natural speed of body movement and the unquestionable cardio he brings everytime.
I would be surprised to see this one stay on the feet after the last match and expect cain to utilize his superior wrestling to ground and pound JDS, but with the great takedown defence he has and the fact each round must start with combatants on their feet JDS is too good a fighter to just count out.
How are you guys seeing this match up?

I'm not making any excuses for Cain but its been reported that his ACL was blown in their first fight. That explains why he didn't immediately shoot for the take down against JDS. JDS was also injured as well during the fight. Even if Cain manages to get the takedown, JDS is no slouch on the ground and Cain will have some serious issues there as well. JDS doesn't have serious knockout power, he is an accurate puncher with perfect technique.
I see JDS taking this fight again with a TKO in the 2nd round. As fans we know MMA is the most unpredictable sport on the planet. It sounds cliche as fuck but ANYTHING can happen. 2013 is going to be an exciting year for MMA with UFC introducing the Female 135lb division. Can't wait to see Ronda Rousey bring something new to the octagon, that chick is NASTY.
Should be a sick card, I'm going to be enjoying the VXC with some friends and watching the fights live on FX and PPV.

That Anderson Silva loss was the the greatest thing to happen to UFC in 10 years. Not because he lost. but because of how he trolled Dana White by barely even fighting.
you guys should read the Deadspin.com article about that fight, hilarious. The GIF of Silva dodging all the punches with the added "LOL" caption is just too perfect.
I miss the old days of UFC when the stand up fighters didn't know BJJ or Wresting and I could school them all easily ^_^ now I'm older, slower and everyone knows BJJ, MT, GRW etc... no more cheesy knowledge advantage and tapping out 3rd degree black belts in 30 seconds for me. @_x

) now it's all about MMA and be able to use the best of every martial art to your advantage. Except for lay'n'pray wrestlers, they only want to take you down and take a nap over you till you and the public are bored lolSorry for the off-topic!

Love the UFC and have been watching it for many years, particularly enjoy the ultimate fighter series. The current series for the women is full on. Love it.
I used to be a avid UFC watcher but lately they seem to lack the rosters for me to be shelling out the dough for. Im very interested in seeing jones take on cormier and gus again but barring that with alot of people either out or injured it was looking a little bleak when i last checked the planned events, have things picked up much?

First time I was rooting for Ronda, and it was the first proper women's knockout(by hands) in the ufc! God damn awesome fight, that big nosed bitch deserved every second of it too.
Can't wait for local boy(kinda) Mighty Mouse to fight soon, just heard a great local interview he did last week on the radio.... Dude is trying to kill Dodson for talking shit

Ufc ppv-level events have become my favorite individual sport to watch, along with grand slam tennis lol. I remember seeing early era kickboxing occasionally in the past at bars and such, but started only started following the big events and having favorites to root for around when machida came up; I always rooted for him but he's got some soul searching to do at this point if he wants to bounce back. The sport is in a good place atm with plenty of personalities and talent, from rousey to weidman and mcgregor etc., it's a fun spectacle. I like the nba and the nfl for team sports (also march madness and bowl games of course!), and will also follow the stanly cup and mlb playoffs.

I'm with you on that one, a good ppv card is the most exciting sporting event in the world imo. If you ever want to check out some incredible older fights look up fedor emelianenko. The most dangerous human to ever walk the earth period... Famous for looking bored while defending his belt

Been watching UFC for many years now, the main events and slowly got into the TUF series and there have been some great episodes, plus I like the fact that the TUF series losers sometimes make it big in the UFC. Agree with the comments on it being full of really diverse characters and they just keep coming......remember Brock Lesnar. Human caricatures kicking the shit out of each other....brilliant.
Now the women are emerging strong & that is great for the sport. Ronda is just awesome and a true champion, really inspiring and a role model to many.
Anyway, thinking of going to Vegas for McGregor v Aldo in Dec.....it will be awesome.
