St. Louis (CNN) -- Activist Cornel West was among more than 49 people arrested at the "Moral Monday" march in Ferguson, Missouri, officials said.

A photo from CNN affiliate KMOV-TV in St. Louis showed police in rain gear arresting West, in a black suit, tie and scarf, and others in what appeared to be a parking lot.

Shawn McGuire, a spokesman for the St. Louis County Police Department, said 49 people were arrested.

Police said West and 42 other people were detained at the Ferguson Police Department protest site for disturbing the peace. The protesters tried to push through a police line, he said.

well tensions are high as shit in the city right now. the verdict is expected to come out anytime now and its certianly going to be in favor of the police. because of that everyone is prepairing to "shut down" for it. schools and businesses will close. rioting is almost promised when/if that happens.

im at work and hear poeple all over saying things like "let those idiots burn down their town" and ignorant shit like that.

this is what i see happening. the verdict comes out and ol boy is off the hook. rioting ensues in dif parts of the city. police/military will be dispatched. innocent people will be arrested and shot. and people all over will continue to believe that the town of ferguson is filled with bad people. its fucking disgusting.

people REALLY need to take a LONG look at themselves. these people only scratch the surface. never dig. a shame.

RIP Michael Brown! you did NOT deserve to die.

The reporting about the murder of Michael Brown has always been a lie, from the first report that the store merchant reported a robbery.

CNN recently repeated this different LIE about the murder scene. (Source for all quotes)
This week CNN viewers heard the lie repeated that "... Mike Brown was found 35 feet away from Darren Wilson's SUV. Watch just the first 20 seconds of this video to see how Erin Burnett frames the case"

This LIE began with the police the day after the murder when they knew only lying and tanks could save the murderer's ass.
"On August 10, 2014, St. Louis County Police Chief John Belmar held his first press conference on the shooting of Mike Brown by Officer Darren Wilson. Chief Belmar ... stated ... "The entire scene, from approximately the car door (of Officer Wilson) to the shooting, is, uh, about 35 feet."

HOWEVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Read this about the actual 100 foot (or greater) distance between Darren Wilson's SUV and Michael Browns murdered remains.

honestly this country is FULL of lies. they are everywhere. to the point where even the liars are believing the shit.

tesions are very high here in the city. sounds like the verdict has been decided and they are giving the police and fire depts 24-48 hours before releasing it to the public. so maybe by sunday the verdict will come out...?

either way i think ol boy gets off and rioting ensues. possibly in more areas of the country besides STL even.

lots of businesses in the city have closed already and told their employees to stay home. the media is basically saying "expect the worst"...

Yesterday on YouTube, a video of the measuring of the distance between the cop car and the bloodied place of death, was uploaded.
This distance is crucial to a valid self defence claim. How far Mike Brown actually fled and was chased and where they were in relation to each other and to the SUV, are important facts. If Mike Brown fled over 148 feet, unarmed, shot at, perhaps hit, missing a shoe, fearing for his life, IT WAS MURDER.

The distance total was "148 from Darren Wilson’s SUV....distance was more 500 percent farther away than originally claimed by Chief Belmar and subsequently quoted as fact in almost every narrative of the case."

Here is an expanded report about the police perfidy.
"While the initial reporting of this distance from the chief could have been an error, albeit an egregious one, it seems clear now, after over 100 days of requests for the police to clarify this discrepancy have only produced silence, that it wasn’t an oversight, but a deliberate misrepresentation of the facts."

Can we assume that the Grand Jury heard perjury?

I bet the verdict is going to be announced on thanksgiving day so people don't go out and protest. And if they do, the authorities are going to spin it and make everybody out on the streets look bad.

you meant so they dont riot right? honestly i think thanksgiving is as good of a day to peacefully protest as any. regardless the holiday will not likely have any bearing on what the protestors and/or looters do. i do not believe that citzens affected by the oppression will give any fucks about what day it is.

turns out they jury did not come to a verdict on friday. they were to get back together today so hopefully we know something soon.

but remember... this isnt Darren Wilsons court case. this is just wether or not there is enough evidence to charge him with anything. if the jury comes back saying yes then another jury will have to be selected and then he will be tried for murder or excessive force. if the jury comes back saying no then he gets off.

considering how many lies the police have been caught in already in this shit storm... i find it hard to believe that there is not enough evidence. this is merica however tho so anything is possible.

MB had a criminal record - lie
MB charged the cop - lie
