sounds good. I think I am going to get this one for use with my bong but also on the go, while I decide what to get for more of a "on the go, in pocket , self functioning unit" type thing in the future .
Do you guys mostly use it as a pipe or at a bong addition? just curious as it seems i may be hitting this alot but in my bong more so than anything else.
Easily the bong. However, the WPA does get pretty hot after 2 or 3 bowls in pretty quick succession, that's when I change to the aluminum stem. I do see myself using the pipe version a lot more in the Summer for hikes and camping.
The pipe is very pocketable, very durable, IMO more fun to use than other vapes and more convenient since power resource (battery life or amount of butane) is hardly an issue as long as you have an extra lighter.
For fun, I decided to do some note taking about my stock/basic Honest lighter. Since you are interested in the Lotus, I thought this might help in your decision and share my results. I was a little weary of the butane duration per lighter since buying cans of butane and lighters is an additional cost for the use of the Lotus, and figured you might have concerns as well.
I measured a gram, ground and dumped it into a container, and only used that herb for the Lotus. For 1 scoop per bowl (~0.045g), I tracked how many bowls I could get until the lighter is empty. I used a 5/8" flame and vaped until the herb was dark brown.
I vaporized 22 bowls out of one filled "basic" Honest lighter. Lasted me about 2.5 days. I consider myself to have a medium tolerance; 2-3 bowls per session usually is enough. I'm on vacation, so that's why I've had many sessions in a day, but I could easily see myself extending the tank to a week when school starts again.
Now the only thing I'm wondering about is how long this can of butane will last me... Costs of butane and butane accessories are seemingly very minor if you buy and take care of quality lighters.
