I have no idea if there is a scientific basis for this observation or not, but it seems like the WA is more likely to stay attached to the vapor cap when it's not hot. Once I've taken a few hits, it's much less likely that the magnet will support me actually lifting the WPA with the vapor cap to clear the bubbler.

That sucks you can get a new j hook for $10 shipped on ioffer ... probably less than half the price after you pay shipping to lotusSo not even a month after receiving my j hook kit and this happens.The lotus slipped off my lap while I was sitting down and fell about 1ft onto the rugged floor. I was pretty shocked and disappointed that it broke so easily. :/ Luckily I still have my bong I can use with the WPA but I no longer have a portable vaping solution until I order another stem from the lotus website.
Sad day.
sorry 'bout your damage, sneech, but at least the lotus is still alive and a j-hook is easily replaceable.
on a brighter note, here's a shot of my Lotus set-up with the pinnacle wt (using some silicon and a 14mm adapter) when i travel.

That looks sick, I am still a little confused on how your attaching the bottom of the pinnacle to the al stem or j hook. It also doesn't seem that comfortable to hold it like that while toking, but you could just be holding it like that for the pic.haha, i overpaid for the PnWT in my impatience (cost me about usd90 i think, way before d discount) but everytime i use it, i don't feel so bad anymore

I got this one some days ago from "head - nature"
but the mouthpiece is kind of low and I can barely see the hot plate…
Nevertheless, I can't seem to be able to leave it from my hands!!!
The Lotus and the J-hook definitely gives the best vaporizing experience I've ever had since I started this amazing trip! Period.
I have settled on taking short, slow speed/high temp hits since the J-hook gives such great visual feedback and I am being able to keep the great taste to the end and with a very uniform ABV. I feel that by doing this I get smaller, full spectrum hits, without overheating the load, which my body apparently finds easier to absorb, I exhale less vapor and overall I just get higher with less!
Now, and by using the Lotus like this, I can definitely say that the taste lasts longer than with my Solo and the hits are more potent as well.
I wonder if there is any other convection vape that can give such instant high-heat hits without cooking the load in between and at the same time being so portable, small, so durable and with such a great taste and clean air/vapor path… Is there such a vape except the Lotus?
