It comes with the whip and is worth a try before you buy more parts for it. If you get a mouthpiece, just make sure it’s not so short that it puts the flame in your face.
This is a prototype of something that I am working on. Same size as a J hook but the large straight tube is aimed at your right eye.
You can see the vapor generation perfectly. It's pretty hypnotic to heat the cap and to be able to see and control the vapor so well. I'm thinking of naming it the Periscope.
This is the first prototype so it will be a while until the finished product is for sale on our website.

We've also just made these available.
They load about 2 mm of herb in a bowl, 1/2 bowl and a full bowl.

Sorry if the question has been posted already, but I'm in pinch and could not find straight answer quickly.
I have the opportunity to buy a lotus v1 second hand (I think v1 since it has no patent no° on the back) the plate as aesthetic dents as well. It's unused however.
I would like to get this unit, however I wonder how big the difference in performance is between all the different models.
I only vape flowers, occasionally hasj but not often. So the high temp is not essesntial in other words.
Low budget vaper but like to get value for my coin.

You'll be fine. I still use my og plate (with the grooves), and my lotus is my go to for hash... so if it's mainly flower, occasionally hash no prob. Good to fluff up with heat/break up if it's hard hash, and I flatten soft hash into as thin disk and place in a bed of flower (or cotton/hemp fibre) to vape it.

Quick and final follow-up question: If I wished to change plates, will the V4 version fit the V1 for example? Or will I need original V1 plates for the V1?

The new plates will fit you're old body, no problem, they're all the same size. It's the construction/materials around and under the plate that is different in the high temp versions... mainly to stop the wood charring iirc
We still have some stock of the original vapor cap. We even have the original sunburst hot plates if you want to dress up your Lotus.

I’ve got two high-temp caps in the family, I use mine semi-daily and my mother uses her’s as her DD, both are a bit over a year old and besides a bit of anadizing from the heat look and function as good as the day we got them. I bet they have another couple years in them, at least!
@Max Jitter I still find myself choosing the lotus constantly over other, more expensive vapes in my collection, it truly does hold itself amongst the best!

Ok I was gonna order the og cap but saw a herbal cap? I thought the high temp was the newest..but seems the herbal cap is? @Max Jitter any info?
Actually the herbal cap is the newest. The only difference between the two besides the black Lotus ring is the spacer under the hot plate. Black cap has a metal spacer, herbal has a silicone oring, which lets it heat up faster than the black cap.
