The Lotus Vaporizer

Do u guys think it would have enough clearance for the stir stick without an adapter (close up below)? I could always bend the stir stick.

Im not too worried about heating without the 45 degree angle.

What is your favorite glass to use with the Lotus? Any glass recommendations (particularly smaller)? Am I just gonna end up using my 12" bong with the Lotus and keeping the bubbler for the launch box (in which case i would be better off with the mini hydrator)?

The stir stick might not bend enough for it to clear. Just my guess.

I use the Lotus as my daily driver. I usually vape like 2 or 3 bowls at a time. Depending on how fast I vape, the WPA can get too hot to touch. IMO, if you really like that bubbler and want to use the Lotus heavily, a glass 14 to 14 "extender" (think gong carbon filter) would be worth it so that you can use that bub and still handle the WPA after the 3rd bowl in a row.

You Must Unlearn, What You Have Learned...
Just put a small piece of silicone over the end of the wpa. The hammer will be hard enough to judge w/o an adapter, that's why sherlocks, j-hooks, gandolfs, bubblers, and bongs are better fit. Not that you can't use a hammer or spoon or even a onie if your a daredevil. Heck its pretty much like the stock stem, I would imagine. But for the latter few, you must heat the inner circle red hot then bring in to your lips and judge accordingly. Not a big deal for some but for beginners it could be a hassle.

Edit- Ha ha I just ripped the Lotus too many times. I just realized you replied to the VB bub not the hammer. Ya a carbon filter would be fine with that. Or silicone really, another great thing about silicone at least with 14mm female joints is once you figure out the strength of that magnet (muscle memory) you don't even need to pick it up from the base.

Was planning on waiting a little bit before picking up one of these, but seen one in the classifieds and had to jump on it. Was thinking I would get a couple spare lighters right away and was thinking just getting a bunch of the cheap honests was my best bet. Just thought I would see if anyone had a suggestion for a good lighter in the $10-15 range that might be good instead. TIA

was thinking of picking one of these up now that their stocked by vapefiend, is there a significant difference to the stem sizes (flavor, harshness...), and if so which one do most of you use?

@Max Jitter is there anyway I can purchase just the metal bowl of the Al stem??? Also, has anyone tried the Lotus gravity bong style???
I've tried it gravity bong style, w/ my friend's Lotus.. It's not the easiest thing to do.. It's more trouble than it's worth IMO, but it's do-able.. Maybe it was just me, but I got pretty inconsistent results trying to use it like that... If you just had a tooth pulled I guess it could be worth a try.. That's why I tried it..

Since we are talking about strange contraptions here, and I am not entirely sure at which thread should this go, I have found a nice solution for those windy or need to be silent situations… :p Just use your spare Firefly as an electronic lighter! Now even butane haters will convert to the Lotus! :lmao:

Just a bit of 1/2'' ID tubing will do the mating...

That is one pricey e-lighter! lol

I have been toying with the idea of designing a small battery powered elighter for the lotus, I think this could actually be a very discreet vape without the hissing torch! I think the shape and size of the lotus would be an extremely easy one to work with for something modular that attaches on top of the plate.

The key would be to have even conduction of heat to the exact right amount of the heat plate on top of the lotus, ideally from a heater that warms up very quickly from turning it on.

The Lotus has been my daily driver alongside the WPA and my Luke Wilson piece for the last few weeks. My E-Nano is out of commission for a couple more days whilst I wait for the parts to arrive express from Cali to fix it (I put 240v of power into a 110v appliance, derp!).

I am selling my PNP the day after tomorrow as I think it is easily replaced by the Lotus. The Lotus delivers for my cloud needs on the go and is nowhere near as smellable when operating as the PNP! The PNP took an inordinate amount of time to heat up and was very smelly whilst heating. Because of this, whilst looking very discreet, it did not work out that way. I think it is better for a casual toker rather than someone that practically needs to mainline the stuff for medical reasons.

Of course, I am going to need to go for a stem for portability purposes. I don't have the anodized stem, can anyone let me know if it is worth getting this or if there is something that is smaller, more discreet or that cools the vapor better?

I think the Lotus stem is very nicely designed and well thought of. I tried many times to think how it could be improved but in the end I just praise MT's original design!

It really does seem like the best option, I think I'll pull the trigger on that with the cash I make from selling the PNP! Cheers :)

I love using The Lotus with the WPA, it has been a much more than capable vape to carry me away whilst my desktop driver is out of commission!

Had some fun with my 18-14mm adapter and a friend's LSV... Flipped the adapter upside-down and it fit over the top of the WPA. Really great for micro-packs!

I recently ordered a Vector Ammo dual flame lighter from Lighters Direct . Does anyone use this particular lighter? it has a lifetime warranty and looks to be a quality piece. As a new Lotus user I am enjoying this vape along with my FF. I'm a bit of a vape collector I suppose, I also use a Solo and a Pax. Each has a place in my portable rotation and I love them all.
