Wow just spent days reading through all this... Just waiting for my ejmix to come in the mail. I also purchased some amber oil from a dispensary and hoping that I can mix somewhere between 70:30 to 50:50 although the oil is very thick. I think I'll just hear the oil first and hopefully it will then pour out of the vile and double boil it together

dont heat the oil first! heat the ejmix first and then add the oil. it will mix faster and the oil wont get stuck on the bottom requiring you to stir FOREVER...

The problem is, is that I am gonna have to heat the oil to get it out of the vile. Otherwise it won't move out of there...

Hey guys, thought I'd chime in with my experience using EJ Mix. I really like it so far, especially after some failed experiments with flavored ecig juice in the past. My biggest issue has been finding an ecig tank that doesn't leak, so I was discouraged for a while. But this morning I whipped together a batch of juice using winterized reclaim, EJ Mix, and a few drops of flavoring concentrate. It's surprisingly tasty (so far) in case anybody has been curious about it.

im still searching for a tank that wont leak. sapphires from gotvapes get good reviews here in this regard i just dont like the plastic.

I just purchased an Nemesis Mod and Russian 91% (R91) RBA from fasttech. I probably will not have it for a month but it was cheap and people say quality very good (I bought the more expensive verisons that fasttech sells.
The R91 can be made as a dripper/ very small tank. Well sort of. Take a look at this.

Have you read the instructions at all? EJMix is strictly used to keep a concentrate liquified.
If you're wanting to turn bud into concentrate, you'll need Liquidizer's full kit (or any BHO kit for that matter).
Just go to Liquidizer's website, and read the instructions. They have very well written instructions, it will answer your questions.

I used the Sapphire for a month or two and experienced no leaks. However, I was not extremely impressed with its vapor production. I recently picked up a Kanger EVOD and love it so far. Very pleasing vapor production, and no leaks so far. Granted I've only used it for a couple days, but I'll be sure and update after a week/month about possible leaks. The Aspire EPEN I tried leaked on me the first day.
So i tried someones ecig this weekend that had some wax diluted with ejmix. All i can say is it tasted like shit. Very harsh and tasted burnt. I wasnt there when they mixed it so i dont know if it was the wax, the mix, the procedure. But all i can say is not a good first experience

Not sure what they did, but that's very different from my experience with it. There's a slight sweet taste that's added with the EJMix, but never had a harsh or burnt taste. The only time I've had something resembling a burnt taste is when the voltage was too high, and the atomizer was on for too long.
Wish I could let you take a puff of mine right now, it's tasty this morning

My Kanger EVOD leaked with EJMIX. I am not sure but it appears the EJMIX causes pressure if it does not breath. Meaning if the liquid sits in an air tight container for to long it will build up pressure. This pressure causes the leak.
@Mynameismud i also notice a strange taste with the EJMIX. My friend took a pull and said it tasted like Windex. On my next batch i am going to use less EJMIX and use some of the e-liquid i use (boba's bounty). I hope this works and makes it taste better.

Yeah i was not there when it was mixed. It was one of those clear liquid cartomizers or whatever theyre called and it was already filled when i got there. I took one hit and it was just harsh and bad tasting. I immediately pulled out my dart loaded with shatter to have them try and no one wanted to hot the liquid pen after that.
The difference was night and day. Again like i mentioned, i was not there to see it mixed and it wasnt my oil that it was mixed with so it could be a range of things that happened. But based off that experience im no longer tempted to try it again...
Edit: the cartridge and the oil in it looked exactly the same as the pic a few posts above here from @battle born ...im sure they didnt add any flavoring though

I own a Cera EO and a Kanger e-smart. I make my own wax and use the ej-mix for juice. Flavor on the juice is the same as the wax in my Cera. The flavor is a bit muted (understandable since it's diluted with the mix), but it's there and tasty. However, if I hold the power down for longer than about 5 seconds, I get a burnt tasting hit. So it could have something to do with either how the mix was made, or the device used.
I can't state how amazing the mix is. My Kanger flies under the radar no matter where I'm at. No fear whatsoever smoking ANYWHERE! Toasting the buds is key though as I'm going for very little smell with my juice in public. I save my Cera EO for non public use.
By the way, no leaks here on my Kanger e-smart. I use a new cartridge for every 1 ML fill.

i spoke with some ecig heads today and was told that the leaking comes from screwing the PT atty all the way down tight. these guys were telling me that the Kanger tanks are supposed to fit sorta loose/wobbly. they said since doing this they have never had a leak from any of their kanger tanks. apparently when you screw the tank into the mod all the way until it stops you are forcing the coil assembly up into the wick crushing it and making space for liquid to leak. im going to be making a lil mix here soon and will be arming my Davide mini with a new PT coil. i will test test this theory and report back.
oh and the negative pressure issue is for real also. burping the tank daily cures this though IME.

do you know what kind of wick your friend was using? id be willing to bet its burnt. after you burn a silica or cotton wick it always tastes burnt after IME.

^Very interesting, appreciate the info. I'm still leak free on my EVOD, and I have burped it once. I actually feel like I've been screwing it onto the battery relatively tightly.
This last batch I made, I backed the EJMix percentage down to ~25%. It's definitely a very viscous liquid, but it still does flow. I did this to try and help combat any possible leaks.
If @Haywood likes his Mini Pro Tank III, I might pick up some of those. I do like the idea of a glass tank.

@2clicker : Check out my message in the Concentrates section. Not sure the PT3 Mini will work out better than the last batch of Sapphires did with undiluted Pure Gold, but it's worth a shot. And maybe the "V5" Sapphire will work as well as it used to as opposed to the last batch I got from them (if they ever get some back in stock).

Two questions: Can one buy the extractor kit without the ejuice/ecig side of it (I prefer to vape my concentrates w/ convection and no ejuice mix). Also have any Aussies here purchased this, did they have any dramas getting it over here?
Wow, its been so long since ive used a wicked cart i didnt even think of that...it was a clear cart with 2 wicks running down the side...im almost positive it had to be burnt now. Ill tell them to buy a new one and try it again fresh. Sorry for the bad initial judgement everyone....

well i got the ejmix and the infinite wick in the mail, and i just got a vamo v2 (I've had other ecigs, but wanted to get an ok mod to use some 18650s i had from one that broke). What voltage is the EJvape? a regular 3.7? And what voltage / wattage have people been using the infinite wick at on other devices?
The butane is coming in the mail Friday, supposedly, but i may not have time to do anything with it til next week.

Thanks for the cart recommendations you guys. As for the current cart, I've been puffing on it for about 2 weeks now and am starting to notice some slight degradation flavor-wise. Though it's really not too bad, and I was riding the atomizer pretty hard while out drinking a few nights. I think that winterizing this batch for my first time made a big difference.
All my previous carts have been filled with fresh, non-winterized BHO. I'd get AMAZING taste at first, though I feel taste degrades pretty quickly if you're not very careful not to ride the power. (using ego-w's & other cheapos)
With this latest batch, even though I used claim (with flavoring), I think the lack of plant waxes really made a difference in lasting taste. I've been pretty lucky with no leaks so far either. What I'd really like to try is some nice winterized BHO like liquidizer recommends. One of these days...

There are pro tank 3 minis. I just ordered some from got vapes. Kanger is actually onto the t3s as the newest thing. The replaceable part on the t3s is separate from the base.

I have to say - EJ mix is a letdown for me.. I mixed up .8 grams of winterized bho and about .3 grams of EJ mix in a shotglass in a double boiler setup. The mix came together very well and I was able to inject it into my Saphire cart without any issues. |However each hit produced an extremely harsh throat burn followed by a nasty aftertaste - sorta like the alcohol has not burned off yet. I was fairly confident it was not my BHO to blame so I took out a fresh Saphire cart and dripped a few drops of pure EJ mix on the wick. Sure enough it tasted great initially but the hit was followed by a very harsh throat burn and terrible aftertaste. |I realize people have different sensitivities to this sort of thing so my experience may be atypical, but this has been a $30 lesson learned... back to the drawing board

follow up on the kanger t3s vs t3, i think the t3 also had a separate base from the replaceable part, but the t3s has a smaller replaceable part, which i think will be cheaper.
hmmm.... maybe i'll try the EJmix straight dripped onto my 306 atomizer to see if i think it has any flavour and evaluate throat hit and vapor production.
I'm still waiting for the house to empty out a little, maybe wednesday i'll be able to make a batch.
