The J-hook thread!

I'm looking to get a j-hook for my e-nano. I'm gonna get one of these. Which do you think is superior?

Dave claims his j-hook cools better than the competition; in what way he doesn't specify.
Get the elev8, I have a large DHGate version that is a joy to use on my Plenty...it might be plain but it does cool well and is very easy to clean. :2c:

I don't have the ddave hook yet, but that elev8 one is just a plain old hook with no cooling features. Vgoodiez is great but I would advise grabbing a modded hook from TRWW for about the same. Or an inception hook from OWW.

Edit: jinx with @Shit Snacks

So are you saying the Elev8 doesn't cool vapor?

I'll think about the Inception hook although $42 seems like an awful lot for it. TRWW apparently no longer sells modded hooks.

The Elev8 hook is like a long stem. It cools, but not as well as one with dimples or right angles. I just don't ever really use that hook because I have many that I like better. But it is also better than no hook at all.

I got one of the "defective" inception hooks: https://oconnellwoodworks.com/collections/glass-and-parts/products/14mm-inception-j-hook
I can't detect any defect or rattle in my hook.

TRWW tends to make a dozen or so at a time and they sell out quickly. But I think his new hooks look awesome too.

It will cool, the more of the curve and the longer the path, the more cooling, but right angles offer better cooling than the curves, plus there are other cooling elements...

Do not buy it, full price, they go on sale regularly for holidays, significantly discounted...

Rogue does regular drops on his websites, best is to follow on Instagram so you know when they are happening, but you could also message him to pre-order... He is constantly making them, he does still sell them!

This thread isn't too long, and it has pretty much all the hooks that are available now, you should just skim through the past pages backwards, there are a lot of great options at great prices, some more effective than others and more unique, and can get more expensive...

Don't forget good vibes boro on Instagram aka iPodMike on Reddit for yet another cooling element other than inception or spikes.

Whelp, I followed this advice too and realized I had slept on the TRWW Vapor Pipe.
Some new pieces. The hardest part is making the joint and making it into the kiln before something cracks

I also picked up a spiral cooler while I was there.

Lots of great J-hooks out there. Inception is maybe my fave. Or that new model from Ed's TNT.

There have been a good number of Inception sAles. But still worth full price in my book. A really well executed one. And love the slightly tapered mouthpiece.

is this thing on?
I'm skimming through this thread from time to time. Is there a good J-hook available for order somewhere in central europe? I'd like to have it in good quality, Sax style preferred. Thick boro glass... Can't find it anywhere.

Don't convert me to smoking! (:
I actually need it with an 18 mm male end. Hmm probably hard to find in the EU.

I'm not sure what his site is, but the gentleman who makes the J hooks that Eds Tnt was selling (I can't find them on his site anymore, but if you go back a few pages folks mention them)--Nicholas--has a local site based in France.
