So I'm sure you're all absolutely dying to know what herbie and I have been up to lately ;)

In my new infatuation with balloons, I decided to deal with a couple of issues I've been having with filling them. One is that it's a bit inconvenient to have to hold the balloon on the bowl to keep it securely attached, and #2 is that I don't want to remove the grommet I keep in place for filtration with everything else.

I was able to deal with both of these issues with the same solution, ssv tubing strikes again. The first time that I filled a bag this way was completely hands-free until the auto shutoff with zero leakage.

This photo shows the other ways I am using herbie for now. I use the stock hose this way so it's filtered if I want direct vapor, and the ssv hose if I want to use with a (non ht) water tool. With a ht I just use the ssv hose adapter without the hose, but ergonomically I still prefer using this old ssv tripod bubbler.

Is this herbalizer really worth 800 dollars? Money is not an issue but spending 800 on a vaporizer that does the same thing as the extreme Q is a little bit crazy or no is like apple and android why would I buy apple when I could do so mutch more with the android. Not trying to bash the product but 800 is something to question about. U know

Say what you want about signature effects......this thing is getting better with each use. Absolutely rekt the last 2 times I've used it.

To answer your question. No. In reality I don't think any vape is worth $800. The things I think are worth $800 are remote controlled quadcopters with HD camera's, GPS, and WiFi attached to them. But that's not an apples to apples comparison, and I don't know the business model behind designing, creating, producing, and launching a vaporizer. Personally, I'm very happy with this purchase and like I stated above, it seems to work better with each use.

If you are looking for bang for buck, I think the Evo with free dry glass piece is the best choice. However, once you add a nice HT and consider the luxuries the Herbie brings to the table, its a little easier to swallow the cost increase. I haven't tried every vape on the market but for my usage style, I believe the Herbie suits me best. It gives me so many different ways to enjoy vapor and its so quick, sturdy, and discreet. I've paid close to $1000 for 2 different Clouds that have given me 1 month of use a piece. If Herbie proves its reliability, then the $675 I paid seems like a bargain. I made a previous post with the Pro's and Con's and a small comparison of the 2. I tried my best to be as unbiased as possible to give potential buyer's an honest opinion from someone who owns both. Take a look and it might help you in your decision.

Tough question to answer. Can you get equal satisfaction from a less expensive vape? Yes. All things considered, is Herbie too expensive for what it is? I also have to say Yes to that. But am I very happy that I have one, well also YES. So you see, it's complicated.

I would say, if you have the money, go for it, if you don't want to spend that much, don't worry or fret that you are missing out on anything, enjoy your other vapes and keep watch for an opportunity to try it or wait until maybe the price goes down in the future.

I have owned the extreme Q for three years and still love it. If you can afford it and want a change, you will not regret it. The few friends that have come over to try have really liked it.

I know I made a post about my "new" Herbie method.. the Direct draw.
http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/the-herbalizer.9116/page-112#post-575678
I found a system I prefer.
It really pays off having a spare connector!
They come with the tubing you can order as a "perc"

I cut a piece of Herbalizer tube in half.
I got a "Q" for a community member, and it came with an ornate elbow joint.. the user of the Q was an old timer and did not appreciate the "heady" look of this piece.
They wanted the traditional Q elbow.
DSC03218.jpg

The above piece will be recognized by one member here. A swell guy!
I did not imagine I would wind up with this elbow joint back. I will now
rememebr and think of this piece's first owner when ever I use it!

So I attached it to my 1/2 whip, and it is my mouthpiece!
If held with the whip in an upright orientation, it disallows the whip to crimp under the most UNHEARD of positions!!! The whip being 1/2 length is crimp resistant anyway.

The cute little glass mouthpiece and whip are so darned convenient.
They beat out my direct draw system, because with it I must coach them about the glass.
With a full whip I must coach only a small amount.
with this baby, no coaching at all....
and if they stand up too fast and forget, the connector just comes loose.

Now you guys know I would not leave you hanging.....
here's a demo!

Yeah wish I could beta test this baby jajaja I think I've cut it down to 2 for my first desktop vape either the herbalizer or the volcano. My friend has the volcano wich I loved it when I tried it but I don't want to look like I'm trying to be like him lol so that's why I'm looking at the herbalizer but just wished I could try it

Please tell me how it compares to vape bonging with DDaves EQ method with the fan on!

I want to make sure because I know you love your EQ!

@stickstones I'll keep what you said in mind here!

Goat I'm so sorry to say this buddy but I sold my Arizer. Not that I would ever take anything away from it, for the price it's a top performer.

That being said, not ever close. :disgust:

Almost there...
So my poor Herbie has not been getting the love it deserves for the past few weeks...
The EVO had taken it's place firmly and was not letting it go easily!

Time to sit and think on this situation!!
How can my favourite vape become second dog so easily??

So as i sat there staring at both vapes, going through their pro's and con's, what i like and don't and anything else i could come up with.

Then it dawned on me!!!
I was being like a lot of people on here that are newer to the vape scene and i promise never to do that again!!!
What i was trying to do was to compare the clouds and effect from two totally different vapes!
I wanted Herbie to be like my EVO but that will never happen.

So it was time to rethink my strategy!!

I decided to sit down with Herbie and go through the motions!
Loaded up some primo Purple Kush, about a 1/2 bowl of medium ground material.
Started low and worked my way up slowly to the top temp.
Flavour city all the way through the spectrum!!!
Session lasted about 20 minutes in total and it was AWESOME!!!!

That same load in the EVO i can case in TWO hits using the HT.
AWESOME as well if i want that fast PTTF (Punch To The Face!)

So Herbie is back again and stronger than ever!!
I am back to using just the whip with the occasional WT but even my least diffusion piece loses a lot of flavour. So it it either just the whip or dry through a WT to see all the vapour.

My Herbie still looks brand new after 4 months, still using the first set of screens, the same hose and it still has the protective screen cover on!

I also turned a small basement room into my vape room!
Still needs some more work but it is good to have a room with an exhaust system, so no matter how much i vape the house stays odour free!!

I've had my Herbie for about a month now and it is an awesome piece of technology. I find myself trying all kinds of different temps with the bags and the effects definitely seem to last a lot longer with a lesser amount which is making my weed go a long long way! I LIKE DAT!

@lazylathe -- your vape station looks eerily similar to mine...even down to the two c-vaults!

I feel like vape royalty with both Herbie and an EVO! My routine for years used to be rotating a different vape in every couple of weeks. But then the Cloud came along and everything else went into backup mode. For me, I still prefer the hit of the EVO, but having both is awesome. I'm getting to where now I use them interchangeably throughout the week and even throughout the same day. With two top notch convection vapes and two strains of good herb there is not much tolerance build up going on. Typically I start the day with the EVO until the auto shutoff screws me...then I reach for Herbie, and back and forth like that. It used to be that the auto shutoff would ruin me, but now that is just an excuse to fire up Herbie in less than thirty seconds!

LOL!!!
Those two CVaults are full of Jack Herer and Purple Kush!! YUM!!
The vapes on the table are my go to vapes, Herbie, Evo and E-Nano, they also get rotated throughout the day pr week depending on my mood.

It does feel good to walk in and look at them and decide how i feel like medicating or relaxing.

And the funny thing is even though the EVO has a long heat up time, it does not bother me anymore.

Once i stopped comparing my vapes they all slid neatly into perspective.
So we have a pretty similar styles!

I just noticed that you can power on/off Herbie by holding down the vapor therapy button. I was tilting the lid down between bags to turn off as not to keep heating the load while I was using the balloon. This is better because I don't like to keep closing/opening the lid (too much product wear and tear) if it's not needed. I don't know if the same happens when you hold down the aromatherapy button as I have not used it yet:shrug:
