I just figured it out.
I went for that hint from ResonantOG ... and then dropped the idea...
but then it came to me after seeing GoldenBears post.
If anyone has a Pinnacle WT or similar device, try sticking the whip directly into the GonG joint... it works pretty well as a quick way to get a little water filtration into your session. Probably losing a little bit of vapor since it's not an airtight seal, but it works. The fan assist will fire the perc on its own.
Alright, so I've been playing with essential oil - shatter consistency.
I broke off my dose, sandwiched it between the 2 EO pads and then stuffed a little hemp cotton into female part of the bowl as a condensation blocker from the whip - 420 degrees working my way up to max and here's what I got.
Totally different experience! Way more cerebral, quickly hitting you over head - I mean seriously, after the session it hit me like a....
And not even nice about it, totally like...
And the hemp fiber worked perfect, save up a bit and it can easily be used later INSIDE the chamber!
I medicate primarily for a GI disorder, so I always find indicas preferable. When I vape heavily sativa-dominant strains, it typically does nothing for my stomach. Well, I've now run a few of those strains through my Herbalizer, each about 85/15 sativa. Lo and behold, each one has helped my stomach pains and discomfort in ways I've never experienced from these strains before. @Slightly Medicated said previously that by using the Herbalizer he found benefits from strains that were typically lacking. I can definitely reaffirm his finding.

Edit: I thought I'd share my new favorite Herbie trick. I call it the Reverse Flavor Saver. So I fill a bag at 395, and 398... and save the best flavor hits in those. Then I ramp up to 400-405 and get medicated as much as possible on the smokier/flatter drags from the whip. Then go back and finish the full flavor bags. End on a high note. Voila!!
You know, for those times that you are dreading the flavor-less finish!
for those of you treating GI, what temps are you finding most effective?
