Looks like you all had some fun!! wish i was there!
I just woke up a bit ago, still need my coffee! But it was quite simple, just do a quarter turn to open, then add the load, screw back on, and drop it in. Stu and I tried a few different packs with a unit we had off to the side, from lighter-packed ~.1g to a relatively tight load (not sure how it compares to the ascent pack needed?) which came out of the bowl cashed as a dark brown puck.Could you guys share a little detail about packing and clearing the bowl?
Honestly? I'd like to see it be a bit more affordable. There's a few units on the market with higher price tags (I'm looking at you, Sublimator and Enail [whenever the Enail is back on the market...]), but I'd say if you're looking at something in that price range, or looking at the Volcano, the Herbalizer beats it up. We were varying the temperatures from lowest to highest, highest to lowest, and it didn't take more than, say, 10 seconds to cool down from such extremes. From what I understand, the heating element on the Volcano is a block, so the thermal mass of it would have to cool down first. The Herbalizer cools down a lot faster. I actually really enjoyed the bags as well, I couldn't count how many we blew but it had to be at least around 20-30? If you get a chance to use it, get on it. You'll see what we mean. Stu, Buildozer, and I went whip-only with the fan assist turned on for a nicely-packed load with a dab on top of it, and it was really smooth. For not using water, the irritation was minimal. So does everyone that has used it think it is worth the price tag? I do like the precise temp control and the fast heat up times, but does the vapor seem smoother? What, if anything really stood out about the machine? Has there been any update on how long the warranty is? Sorry for all the questions, just really curious about it. (Edit-right when I posted this 2 reviews popped up, thanks guys!)
My friend Ian who I brought definitely wants to buy one even at the price tag. Although he wants to split the cost with me and share it haha.So does everyone that has used it think it is worth the price tag? I think I heard the warranty was still @ 2yrs. The herbie team seems genuinely concerned about user satisfaction so I would be very surprised if there wasn't some sort of reasonable way to fix a out-of-warranty herbie. Maybe it depends how easy the halogen bulb heating element is to break.Has there been any update on how long the warranty is? Sorry for all the questions, just really curious about it. I liked the herbalizer bowl more than the vapexhale cloud bowl. Or the volcano loading chamber. What, if anything really stood out about the machine?
Both the Mobius and Sov perc'd by themselves when we attached the whip and turned on the fan. The fan seems to really reduce the amount of pulling you have to do on the unit which seems to have the effect of fatiguing you a lot less when you're pulling on it. It was easy for me to just breathe instead of pull on the vapor for it to come out of the whip. We didn't have any small glass pieces to test it out with, though, so I'm not positive on how it would perc what with the smaller surface area of the hydrotubes like the Pinnacle's and the Nibbler.I'd like to see that whip attached to the bottom of a small hydrotube, sucking out of it would look like talking into a microphone. I wonder how the forced air wold be with an application like that?
Apparently people think it's funny that I like to cough and talk at the same time.
Whip was fine without the air. I know stu was all about just using the lungs.I probably would wait until it starts to trickle down into eBay or buy it secondhand to pay under the sticker price on it.
Wondering how does it work with the whip and without the assisted air?
