That sucks. I heard the defunk oil makes the whip have a funny taste from being in the unit too. Has anyone even tried vaping the defunk?
I'm sure the DeFunk oil might smell good in small amounts but having the entire bottle emptied inside the unit makes a stench so strong that I still feel nauseated from it. I'm not a person that is easily put off by smells but there is something about the odor of DeFunk in large amounts that makes me feel sick to my stomach. The Herbie is currently sitting in its box in my garage for the time being until I get this situation sorted. That sucks. ............................................................................................................Just purchased my Herbie and can not wait for it to come in!
I purchased it from getlifted.ca which is an authorized seller. It's a Canadian site that ships to the US so it only comes to $640 after the exchange rate, they are also offering 10 percent off until Monday so I got it for only 580 usd.
Just thought I would pass this info on incase anyone is looking for a good deal.
I contacted Carrie from herbalizer and she told me it is indeed an authorized seller............................................................................................................
Are they really an authorized dealer? I did NOT see the Herbie logo/link which all authorized dealers must display...
From Herbie site:
Authorized Online Retailers MUST display the Herbalizer Authorized Retailer Badge (shown below), and the badge on their page MUST link back to a validation page on Herbalizer.com, which MUST display that store’s name.
The Herbalizer Authorized Online Retailer badge looks like this.
Herbalizer Authorized Online Retailer Badge

Without that badge, a dealer is not authorized = no warranty.
Here's hoping it's just an error, that they are authorized.
I would think they'd work.Does anybody know if it's possible to use the bags from a Zephyr Ion with the herbie?
Hopefully somebody can confirm it. I feel like the Zephyr valve system is much better, although I haven't tried it myself. I need a reason to try bags again.I would think they'd work.
My apologies. I misunderstood you. I thought you meant replacing the bags but reusing the Herbie valve.Hopefully somebody can confirm it. I feel like the Zephyr valve system is much better, although I haven't tried it myself. I need a reason to try bags again.
That's my mistake, I should've said valve instead of bag. Anyway, I hope someone who has both vapes chimes in, if such a person exists. My apologies. I misunderstood you. I thought you meant replacing the bags but reusing the Herbie valve.
In that case, I would love to see a redesign of the bags.I don't have an Ion anymore, but I remember the stem that goes into the valve is longer than Herbie's connector at the top of the bowl. I also think Herbie's is wider. And the Ion stem had a groove in it to tell you when the bag was seated properly. My educated guess would be 'no'.
Most of my vaping occurs in the range of 370-400F. However, I will typically finish a bowl off with a few hits at higher temps, up to around 420-425F. An average bowl for me is 0.05g and that takes two or even three sessions to finish, with a session being one night. The Herbalizer is an efficient machine. I've slowly lowered my tolerance over time to the point where it's just ridiculous.
Hopefully somebody can confirm it. I feel like the Zephyr valve system is much better, although I haven't tried it myself. I need a reason to try bags again.
Thanks for the heads up!They ion bags leak too much
My new Herbalizer has arrived today. I was very excited that the unit arrived in perfect condition, completely free of DeFunk oil! This unit actually included a different fragrance in a larger bottle called "Herbie Blend". I promised that if my new unit came with the DeFunk oil I would throw it away immediately but this stuff smells a lot better so I will be keeping it.
The Herbie was immediately plugged in and heated up to 400F in seconds. The heat-up time is seriously a game changer for me and will drastically change how and when I decide to medicate. My other daily drivers require 2-5 minutes to be at an optimal operating temperature. There are times where I have to skip dosing just because I don't have the time to do so. I loaded a bowl in the Herbie and had a full bag in under 2 minutes. I got some satisfying and smooth hits and finished the bag quickly without even realizing it. The taste from the bag is a lot less intense then my VapeXhale or Arizer Air but the flavor is still pleasant. What you lose in flavor/intensity you gain in convenience and smoothness. Even when inhaling lungfuls of vapor there was absolutely no harshness or throat irritation.
I had this session an hour ago but I am still pretty damn medicated. I don't have the highest tolerance so one bag was definitely enough to get me exactly where I want (to be honest even a little further than I'd normally go). There have been so many amazing first impressions and reviews of this device that I feel there isn't anything new for me to say. Herbie heats up in seconds with accurate temperature controls that allow you to dial into a preferred range for your needs. The vapor production is plentiful and tasty while being so smooth that I don't see the need for water filtration just yet (even though I fully plan on using it with my glass pieces sometime in the future).
I still need to run further tests with the Herbie but I can already tell that my VapeXhale Cloud is going to be benched for the foreseeable future. I am fully loaded.
I still prefer the Evo hits, but I'm with you that Herbie makes it so quick and easy that I end up using it more.
I received an e-mail informing me that a limited quantity of the accessory kits are back in stock.
