Don't quote me on this, but I think the dewaar joints are 19mm which will technically work with 18mm if done right, but can have a little play with some pieces. I don't know, I may be full of shit about that, but my Matrix Ion had that joint and everything I used with it seemed to sit just a little bit deeper.

Can anyone tell me if this is right?

When I first read about your air leak, I wondered if you were using a dewaar joint. I've seen some angled connectors that won't allow the joint to seat fully when used with that type of joint. Try putting an 18mm male to 18mm female adapter in between and see if you still get an air leak.

Was gonna buy the simba hydro tube but it has the dewaar joint too

How do you all think that will sit on the herbalizer... I have the SonG 18mm for ther herbie (the 3d printed one)

I thought I would voice my opinion amid all this talk of using a ht on top of Herbie and safety.for the past month I have been using my early model evolver with zero issues of spillage and zero concern for said spillage. The way I use is by sliding a small piece of ssv tubing onto the top of the bowl. Then I place a 14/18 reducer on top and the evolver sits on that. Easy as pie!
Mm...now I want pie:D

So I went in today and turned on the herbie, and I was in such a hurry as it came on with the greetings screen and I immediately started pushing the + button while the greeting screen was still displayed. And I was surprised that I could go through and view all of the greetings. Anyway I thought it was cool.

This is a subject I'd like to know more about as well as someone said its ridiculous to pay what they are asking for a screen. So I took a sample Herbie screen to my local headshop that is relatively well stocked but they only had one type of screen that appeared to be less fine than the Herbie so I bought a pack of 10 for $1. They didn't fit out of the box but I trimmed them and they work. I am curious what the effect would be with a less fine screen. The screens I bought that are less fine don't seem to enhance anything with the Herbie although I'd like to find an even less fine screen than the ones I bought to see how they work. Will report back if I find it.

That's the method I've described in a few posts. It works great!

Screens from the mighty seem to be the same size just different fineness. Probably just as expensive though.

Too bad they stopped including that cleaning brush along with the screens. After a while the bristles star falling out and resin builds up and makes the brush quite stiff. I guess I could pick up some repalcement brushes at an art supply store or Home Depot. Any advice on where to get some good replacement brushes?

They are Glue Brushes or a Flux Brush. You can get them super cheap at a hobby or hardware store. Finding the right size can be tricky though because they have slightly different shapes/sizes depending on the manufacture.

Looks like they have them at Home Depot for $3 for a 6 pack . Free shipping to store.

Thank guys. I just ordered 15 of those little brushes for like $7 on Amazon. I brush my bowl clean after every session. One brush lasts me about five or six weeks before it gets too much resin build up and the bristles start falling out. Now, I'm good for like 2 years!!

I had no idea amazon had these brushes. This makes my day. Now I just have to find where to buy the screens cut to the right size. If herbalizer dies not try to gouge me on price I'll pick up a bunch from there.

What size head of these little brushes do people prefer the most and why? There is 1/2" 3/8" 5/16" and probably more.

OK disagree with me, I can't force you to be right
In the past I've used a 1/2" punch to cut my screens. Does anybody know the size of the screen for sure? A punch is probably available at that size to make them yourself. Although a good sharp edged punch can be fairly pricey so is the Herbalizer.

I still use the original screens which are almost a year old now. I rotate the screens from top to bottom every couple days, and iso rinse maybe once a month.
