The Herbalizer

Quite often when I use my herbalizer I find myself singing the song from the youtube review (You know, Vaporizer...Herbalizer....Vapporizer...Herbalizer...).

I feel like I huge dope when I catch it. Happens more often when I'm using bags, maybe because I get up and move around to the beat.

Well, no problem of frequency nor warranty. They will take care of your unit. NO matter you put in the bowl, herbie is a beast!

Go for bronson AVT800. No noise involved at all!

Guess who's runnin number 69?:myday::nope:

Thanks for the reply. So PV said they would cover warrenty but what about Herbalizer?? I read some previous posts where "Sheila" was contacted and agreed with the transformer but when I rang she assured me that warrenty would not be covered until they had a export model so go figure? Still confused. So you have not any problems running the herbie on the 50hz cycle? Looks like there is a bit of a run on the Bronson at the moment and also if I had to import the Bronson to Aussie im sure it would cost a fortune so i am still stuffed. Ta

all good in the hood.
hey everyone. I have one comment and one question.

first, I have heard of many people using the herbie at lower temps. I can say I have never tried it below 365. I normally use it between 365 and 395ish.

On the recommendation of a couple of people that I know, I tried it down around 340. WOW! what a completely different experience. "uplifting" is a appropriate adjective. if you have not tried it, I highly recommend it. I am wondering how low some of you go.....

also I was thinking of getting my own bags to replace the ones that I have. I purchased the regular turkey bags and find that they are so much larger than the ones that come native. So much in fact, that once I thread them through, there is so much material, that I do not think air could get through. I am curious what you all are using to replace them?

thanks in advance!

I've gone down as low as 290F. Although the lowest I usually do is 330-345F during the day. It does indeed give you a more energetic high. Plus, you can experiment at lower temps and not waste any product because you can save it and vape at higher temps later. I usually go to 400-425F at night when it's time to sleep. It knocks me right out. Even if it's been vaped at lower temps during the day. Have fun experimenting! I know I do! :science:

All hail Herbie.
^^that needs to be a new opening phrase.
My new favorite is greetings earthlings.
This weekend I switched it up and vaped through water mainly at 430. The result was thick tasty clouds of medication !!its weird..any glass I vape through with Herbie never really gets dense like say the enano does. But exhale and you get a dragon cloud. Love this vape.
I hope there is a plan to launch something new in the future, @Engineer?

@jivebuggered please stop bugging and enjoy herbie right now!
all the case your are quoting is my case and i run herbie on 50Hz for months. Have been taken in charge for a return, device returned good and new.

The position of vapornation would fit only the 220V first EVO case IMHO.

It's due to the nature of the convection....you really do get purity with the Herbie, but I think there are pros and cons to this. Flavour is top notch, but with the added heat/conduction with the e-nano you can get even fuller richer flavour...it's just different....you can also get crappy tasting vapour, because the temp might be just too high. Also, for some reason the herbie causes me to cough more than any other vape at the higher temps to the point where I can't even really use them, even through water, unless I take much smaller hits! E-Nano is alot easier on my lungs for some reason I cannot explain. I think my lungs hate convection vapes, because it's the same for my Cloud.

Ok so this is my first post on this thread so please don't hammer me for what I am about to say because I'm not intending to be a hater just let ya'll know the experience I have been having with Herbie. I was super pumped to get this after reading through this thread and hearing all the glowing reviews and words like perfection, best purchase ever, etc, etc. Now, I'm not a pro vapor like many of you here I have been vaping for a couple years with a Vapolution 2.0 as my main driver and a MFLB for portable use so this is all I have to compare to. So here goes. Overall I am disappointed which is why I am writing this as kind of a last ditch effort to get some advice. So the things I like about Herbie you've heard before: accuracy in dialing in specific temp, quick heatup (not a huge issue for me as I can plan ahead pretty well for my needs but certainly a selling point), flexibility and form factor. But the things that I don't like so much somewhat outweigh the pros. By far my biggest disappointment has been the amount of flowers needed to the flared point. I haven't measured it but it far outweighs the amount used in the 2.0 like 5 to 1 ratio. This was the reason I pulled the trigger after reading on this thread you could get more than one bag with as little as .05g. Which leads to the next equally disappointing thing is I am not getting anywhere close to the hits or bags you folks are getting. After testing for the last 10 days with a full bowl (to the flare) I get 2 bags of decent vapor maybe a 3 if I'm lucky. Same thing for the whip maybe 8-10 hits. Now with this same amount of flowers I could get like I said 5 times that amount with the 2.0. Next is the vapor density which was at the top of the list once I saw the demo of the herbie in action I just couldn't believe the amount of dense vapor coming from the whip with assist and then on exhale the massive clouds. I am not getting anywhere near that level of density even when trying differing amounts loaded and different strains on the highest tempsbut no difference. One thing @Engineer mentioned to try was Shisha but he didn't say what that does (increase cloud production?). The next thing is concentrate use which is far less than reported here as far as amount of hits. I get maybe 2 or 3 decent hits with a pretty heavy amount of concentrate on the pad at 445. Same thing when I put concentrate on flowers just a small bump in cloud production and quantity of hits. Another item that excited me was using herbie on AVB for an extra hit or two but I haven't found that I get much of anything out of my ABV. On that note I thought at first maybe the temp levels are off on the herbie but I will say I haven't had the issue many of you had with ABV being green a bit I have from the start only seen coffee ground looking ABV. The last thing that has been disappointing is the medication level. I am a rec user and leading up to herbie arrival I had been having a tolerance issue (I only use at nighttime for a few hours before bed not all day FYI) but since I saw many users post that the medication level was unparalleled I was excited to see if herbie could bang thru my tolerance but I can only say a small amount not "face melting" like I have seen described here. Well this outlines most of my issues and like I said this is a last ditch effort to see if I can get advice from the board to improve my technique before I sell it. Thanks for all the thoughtful posts I'm sure I'll be getting!!!!

Unfortunately, not all vapes are for everyone. It's an expensive jump to take and be let down by performance. I don't get massive clouds either but I do get medicated. Sorry to hear that you have had an unsatisfying experience. If you're happy with the Vapolution just sell the Herbie. I'm sure someone will pick it up. :peace:

Almost there...
@Vap2.0user

I have had Herbie for about 10 months now.
In those 10 months no vape ever came close to doing what Herbie did for me.
I raved about how awesome she is and that everyone should get one right now!!

Do I still feel the same way, yes and no.
As @Madcap79 stated, one persons rave review does not mean it is the perfect product for you!
I have learnt but not yet put into practice using my own judgement...
I mean it is so easy to see a Vape and fall in love, so you ask the question should I get it and you are overwhelmed with positive feedback!
And this feedback is correct, but remember you are not the person posting the positive feedback.

Herbie is an amazing device that I will never sell.
Even after 10 months I am still learning how to use this Vape correctly for my needs.
I am discovering that playing with the temps to find the sweet spot is very important.
Too hot and I cough, too cold and the effects are not what I need.
Running through water helps a lot but I like it natural sometimes.

Cloud production on my unit is Outstanding!!
It white walls all the glass I have, even some big cans, with ease.
Nice thick and dense vapor.

The quality of your herb will either give you big clouds or sometimes no clouds, only blue vapor.
Either way it medicates very effectively!!
I can either just cover the screen or fill to the flare and still get good results.
A covering will only get you a few hits while more lasts longer, but again quality will also play a huge role here.

Comparing the Herbie the the Vap 2.0 is useless IMO.
The Herbie load does not sit in the heater and is not constantly heated like the Vap 2.0.
Ever leave a load in the Vap by mistake? What a smell as it continues to roast the load.
Herbie just pulsates to maintain the set temp, money a small amount is wasted, not your whole load.
And then who knows what temp the herb is in the Vap?
I loved my Vap but Herbie blows it out of the water for me.

Not sure what you are talking about with using ABV in Herbie for another hit, unless it is vaped at a lower temp in another Vape. Herbie extracts very effectively and the ABV is pretty dead. After I am done a bowl in Herbie I will empty the bowl and crush it up and then revape it at the highest temp. Then I get an extra two hits, not tasty but no burnt popcorn taste and the ANV is pretty spent.
I can get another hit if I transfer to my EVO a but it tastes awful!!!

It is unfortunate that it is not performing as you expected.
An expensive purchase to not be happy with for sure!

One thing I have noticed is that many medical users really like Herbie for the precise temp control and quick heat up. A lot of heavy hitters that try Herbie are not as impressed by it and prefer the EVO.

In an ideal world we would all "try before you buy"...

My recommendation is to experiment more and take your time to see what it can really do?
To get hold of some top shelf bud and see if that makes a difference.

Lately I have just been using Herbie for concentrates using the aroma pad and a bag.
Amazing flavor, dense white vapor and great effects!

Hope you can turn this around!!
If not put it up in the classifieds and it will sell.

Quick question, and I apologize if this has already been addressed elsewhere on the thread, but I couldn't find it:

Is the herbalizer warranty fulfilled when purchased from Amazon (specifically from the 'Herbalizer "Herbie"' seller)?

I don't see the Authorized Online Retailer badge anywhere on the product page or the seller page, but I know that people on this thread have bought it from Amazon. I would prefer to buy it from Amazon because of the free two day shipping (I have prime), and convenience of monitoring the shipping process. That said, securing the warranty is #1 for me.

Thanks!

Maybe it's your flowers ? Try a different strain. I don't know if you have access to high quality buds ,I feel this is the only way to go. However every strain is different. I can get huge huge clouds with the vanilla kush I currently have but not as big clouds with strawberry cough. Even then the clouds are not small by any means.
Edit- @Valkred the warranty is indeed covered, I called them to be sure. LOVE prime membership I actually got mine 21 hours after ordering it !! Hope to see you around

Would just like to remind anyone that your Herbie IS NOT covered by warranty outside of USA/Canada fell free to correct me if I am wrong. I do not know the situation with vapordudule but I have checked and checked again. If you are useing different voltage or FREQUENCY to USA/Canada you ARE NOT COVERED!! Amazon or whoever wants to be greedy to sell outside of countries mentioned are not giving the true facts. Are you living in such countries (USA/Canada S/America/) Valkred??

Yep, I live in PA. And I agree, the warranty information on amazon is very ambiguous.

Lucky bugger I gotta wait like the rest em before they release a export model. Like I mentioned before it`s a bit of a joke for NASA to design the thing but didn`t have the brains to design one for export, they must have felt REALLY confident they would have a good market at "home". Also I have now emailed them three times and rang twice from Aussie and still no replies to any of my email`s, who said again they had good service??!!

Please don't bash the creators of Herbie simply because they haven't released a 220v version. and For the record NASA did not make this vaporizer ,former employees of NASA did.
On another note I've been sick for the past few days. Before the Herbie I would have to take a Break from vaping because my sore throat couldn't take it(and that was through water !).currently have the Herbie on 320 getting amazing uplifting effects with no irritation(and that's through a dry path via the hose)
Damn I love this vape:ko:

That just happened...
How about running the Herbie using a pure sine wave inverter and a 12 volt power source? I know it would void the warranty but I'm pretty sure it would work.

Thanks Im just gonna wait till they release a export model and yes they did finally email me, everyone was busy at some Colorado festival hmmmm sounds like a good place to be. Just for the record Mrmrmrmr I meant some of there engineers not NASA itself. On one hand you say dont "bag em" on the other your gloating how great it is just a big tease for the ones that cant get it LOL I guess I better get off the Herbie forum it`s too much for me until I can get my hands on one for Aussie power.

I understand the worrying about the warranty and all but the facts are here:
  • My herbie runs for months on 220V/50Hz current through AVT800.
  • The herbalizer team will take care of any problem you have. I did a return for my herbie.
  • The question for the costs of the repair/return are part of the equation. You will have to pay something even if you are covered by warranty: shipping cost at least. I assume that if you can afford herbie, you can afford return/repair costs if there is some.
The frequency of the current issue affects the first EVO released but not herbie IMO.

At last, i really doubt the herbalizer 220V to be released some day. Really few mention was made about it.

I agree, especially after what @Engineer said about getting your warranty repairs taken care of sooner rather than later. It appears that the company is going through alot of changes/restructuring, and I doubt it's even a priority at this point.

It's been a while now that @Engineer has graced us with his presence.....hopefully he comes back!

Thanks for the reply. This is a email I received from Sheila today Quote "
Unfortunately, at this time, we can't give you a warranty when used outside of the US and Canada. However, we do have a company www.planetvape.ca in Canada that will ship internationally and can point you to the right converter. If you did buy an Herbalizer and something happened you could still send it back to us for repair and we would charge you the minimum cost of repairs. We are working on a version that will be available that would have a warranty and compatible with 220V by early next year, hopefully January."
I like the bit "would charge you the minimum cost for repairs" after spending that much on a vap and costs with postage returns to USA I would hope not to have ANY problems. What was the problem you had by the way?? Also I would have to folk out about $120 for a converter if I bought one even in Aussie. The AVT800 would be very heavy to post from overseas AND a lot are out of stock or not around much from what I have searched. OR I wait till January (although the CERA and Di Vinci Accent had "release times too" and you know how they panned out!! LOL
