FUUUUCK… oops wrong thread!
Just received a letter from FEDEX, well not so much a letter as an invoice!!
$111,96 is due for Canadian HST, an Advancement Fee and HST on the Advancement Fee!
So be warned any Canadians that received a Herbie in the first 50!

Sweet I am really excited to get the unit. Only own a solo right now and this will be my second vape.I don't know that'd I'd go off of what the eComm site says is available. In fact I know I wouldn't.
But they are working fast and furious to get units out the door. I don't think a month, but certainly not same day either...
@Mennovh The way the system is set up now, only tax is applied to CA residents.

Got the same $111.96 invoice from Fedex yesterday.
I contacted Herbalizer via their website asking what they were going to do about the charge as I had pre-order in August and completed transaction within minutes of receiving my notification to pay by the cut off date Dec 18th midnight for free shipping & sales tax ( see: http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/the-herbalizer-shipping-rambling-thread.11960/page-2#post-509876 ) "Shipping, Taxes: Shipping is FREE (signature required)! And also, if you order by 8 p.m. tonight we will be paying your sales tax! If your shipping address is different than your billing address, send us an email to notify us." I also stated that I had not brought this forward to FC giving them a chance to respond to me before doing so... but that was 24hrs ago without response and the cat is now out of the bag, sooooo !
I expect a refund for my added expense based on the offer that was made here on FC and completing that transaction within the given timeframe. I'm also hopefully confident that Herbalizer will follow through with the refund as the facts are documented and copied that make up this publicly offered and accepted 'contractual agreement'.
Outside those terms (as stated), anyone ordering should already know they are responsible for taxes and possible brokerage fee's of any item imported.
Cool!
Let me know what they reply with, don't want to bombard them with the same question...
Herbie got me too vaked last night to worry about e mailing anyone...
Ok, here's the scoop (asked by Sheila to pass on the revelation and process)....
Now remember, this only applies to those that made the order/payment deadline as posted here: http://fuckcombustion.com/threads/the-herbalizer-shipping-rambling-thread.11960/page-2#post-509876
Sheila talked to Josh regarding my inquiry and said the issue took them unexpectedly as they believed that NAFTA would be in effect in this regard (us Canucks know how tax chit 'really' works for 'citizens' lol).... anyways, those early adapters affected are asked to contact Herbalizer via their contact form on the website should they receive this Fedex invoice, and that Sheila will contact you to email/forward a copy of the documents to her for either a refund check to be sent to you (or, arrangements made with Fedex to pay for the invoiced tax and fee -- * I forgot to ask about confirmations to know which route they took so we know whether to pay Fedex direct ourselves or not. I'll pipe in again when I find out more about that).
Anyways, as I suspected... Herbalizer & crew would/are honor(ing) their promise and all involved will be taken care of

Just ordered my Herbie yesterday. The waiting begins...
Can't wait to cape like a boss!
Check your credit card statement. Does it say "Pending" for the Herbalizer charge? I ordered mine on Thursday and the $725 charge from Herbalizer showed up right away on my credit card, but it was listed as "Pending". Once it's no longer pending and your card is actually charged, that means your Herbie has shipped. What was the date you ordered? So the transaction for my Herbie order was charged to my card yesterday. I thought the card wasn't charged until the unit is shipped out. Can anyone clarify this please? Doesn't matter either way just curious based upon a reply earlier in this thread.
