Bought The Hammer in the 4/20 sale and it arrived on my birthday a few days ago :party:.
So far I love this guy! Everything fits in the case perfectly (no rattling around, very snug!) and I'm getting really nice clouds on very small amounts of herb. I actually have fun using The Hammer. Probably because of my infatuation with torches; I like playing with the dial seeing that little blue indicator light up.

Sorry if this was asked before, but does anyone else notice that they can't get a steady flame when the dial goes over halfway? It may be because I refilled mine recently.

Pockets of air. Or could be your internal dial is too high. Just did a test click at 100%, its still good but I've also disassembled the Hammer and used it many times with the head exterior.. And have seen the flame without the whole head.

Had this also recently after refilling. I used a different butan bottle, after switching back to my default butan I could power again without hicks.

My hammer's torch doesn't ignite, and the butane hiss slowly fades after releasing the ignition rather than stopping straight away.

I've got zero experience with torch lighters besides this guy. Does this sound like something I can fix myself, or is it due for a trip to @Head Tools ? I should have asked about this a long time ago; my poor Hammer has been sitting in a drawer waiting for this to be fixed for several months now… :(

For those who've been using Hammers for well over a year now, how long have your torches kept chugging without needing to open up the Hammer casing for a tweak?

Yes, sorry, I should have mentioned that. That was the first thing I tried way back when as well as a time or two since then and it's made no difference. Just gave it another go, and no dice.

I noticed this time that the fill valve looks turned (about 11 o'clock) and I'm not sure it was always that way. Could that make a difference? It seems to me like the problem must be at the other end, because of the way it's continuing to release butane after I release the ignition.

Mine did the same.....I tried another brand of tane, although it took some time before it came back to work, it was igniting but flame was very small, I kept it on, I shake a bit and it start to work nice again (10mn or+)......no more issues since....

I actually started out using cheapo Bernz-o-matic butane because I was in a rush to try it and couldn't find anything else quickly. Funny thing is, a month or two later I switched to some Xikar that I got from a cigar shop and the problems only started some time after that.

Given that I went from Lowes butane to some from a cigar shop, I'm figuring that can't be the problem? It would feel real weird to switch back to cheaper butane to solve an issue. :lol:

Why aren't there short glass stems for the Hammer? I broke one of my stems and have been fine with using it native and short.

Does anyone know if an easy way to tell what version of the Hammer one has? I know there was an update properly sealing the hot air path from the butane and i want to know what version the used one I found is. Thanks

I think Payton Penn told me iths the gasket on the back end..if it has a black gasket and on the end u put the stem it has the clear gasket for lock on stem this is new version pro.

No problem my man..I got the hammer on the 4/20 sale and it is a heavy hitter and I love this thing..still dialing it in but man it is easy to adapt to..I have all flame based portables except vg and the hammer is super easy..and repeatable..

I ended up with a used Elevape instead of a Hammer but Hammer is such a good price i may order one too.

Edit. Very little to choose from for custom stems. Bummer. I see we get the 119.99 price as FC members. Has anyone seen any better prices or have a discount code? Thanks

Yeah I love my elevape..best tasting vape I've ever had..but seems as though hammer website hasn't added custom stems in awhile..but I have seen hammer lower on v8pe.com I think it is..I think know it's 100..or try any Canadian seller with the exchange rate..

Sounds like they haven't shipped it because it hasn't been processed, have you tried emailing David directly? Or contacting PayPal about why its taking so long to actually process and continue the order?
