To each their own, but I simply don't agree at all.

I can place an order with basically any online retailer, email them before my order ships, and add as many items to the order as I please. Most retailers ship in chronological order, this isn't something new to Hopper Labs.
What you are saying is that any retailer that ships in chronological order is guilty of "extremely dubious business prectice"s. It's not that retailers fault that I decided to add 1000 items to my order(therefore pushing the following orders back.)

You choose to totally miss my point. The difference between Hopper and other retailers is that Hopper doesn't have stock to ship to customers. They are essentially producing units on a "preorder" basis. So any addition of units to an existing order puts back the shipping date for everyone else. If Hopper had enough stock to ship on demand, then i would agree with you. but for people who have ordered over a year ago on the basis that their unit would ship within 2 months, it is unacceptable to allow unlimited units to be added to an order just prior to shipping.

I guess i have a update, Thank's to some that cut in front of me that have problems i won't let yall know when i get mine, But i most certainly will be getting it before people that inquired after Feb 16th 2014, Thank's to those people they fueled a email fire that won't stop till they are behind my ass. I don't know where yall from but you can't justify cutting in front of someone especially not like this. I would take care of myself if i could and oh do i wish i could, But since i can't the people that made it happen need to.

If this was an amusement park i can assure you that if you were distracted by something at a souvenir stand and 100s (even dozens) of people didn't see you in line and got ahead of you before you realized, and you then attempted to "cut" all these people to find your correct spot, not only would no one in that line think that fair, I am fairly certain the amusement park staff would pull you from the line entirely (if not kick you out of the park, but they won't want to lose the money, nor will GHL, they will likely say sorry but we're going to ship them all in a row anyway! You'll be fine)

I forgot yall don't know me and i used that example because that shit didn't fly when that happened to me before, Not only did i get in front of all the morons that cut in front of me i made them let a bunch more people in front of them because i didn't wan't them near me. The security don't need to come when i'm around i handle that shit myself. I am a guy that took on five attacking German whatever those damn common police dog's are, Not only did they run tail tucked between leg's i chased them literally into the owners house. The thing that hit the off switch was this terrified lady in front of me the owner, We talked a while as i got cleaned up she was afraid i would press charges but i was not about to, she was also afraid because a seemingly average person was able to breech the perimeter, But i told her how highly trained in weapon systems and hand to hand combat i was. I didn't wan't them to be put to sleep especially when they got badly defeated by me and this lady is clearly home alone a lot,She said It had happened before and one more police report bye bye dog's.

This situation is between you and hopper labs. I'm not sure if you are looking for an argument. I thought things had been settled. You talked about this here, now it's up the GHL to decide what they can do for you. Good luck.

This is not an update its an opportunity to flame, and that's what's happened. There is no place for this vitriol and violent rhetoric here. And I actually have some sympathy re his baseline story. No, he's not bashing one member, he's bashing thousands of innocents who "cut in front" of him. Please turn this static off.

Yeah I actually would like them to just give us realistic shipping numbers or at least tell us straight out where in the line we are

my order number (March 2016) 25xxx is suppose to be no indication of where I am in line but just speculating with the little we have so I seen people getting their confirmation now for 15xxx vapes they preordered last year, so there are around 10,000 vapes a head of me and they are saying they make 1000 a week / 4000 a month so 2-3 months until I get mine or July

fuck its depressing to guess because someone was talking about they could only make 30 a week so that puts me to the year 2027 or when we reach the technology to be able to download some vape straight into the brain or into our matrix bathtubs

yeah but vague updates from HL seams to be the most diplomatic way for them while their production is ... something ... who the fuck knows except they hired 3x people but we no idea how many they had before or actual number of the production capability each month

what pisses me off is the fact I said to HL when I payed for my PreOrder that i was excepting it in August 2016 and told them that but they are like "no no it April" and I was like "really?" and then now I email them because I was going on a long hiking trip in 16 of April and wanted to know if I would be getting it and they told me "nope not before 16 but hopefully in April"

that I find a bit insulting instead of just saying from the start "yeah it might be end of summer but we are hoping it will be much sooner as we are a new company and still ironing out both our product and production line" is going to leave wayyy less space for people to complain and demand reimbursement or free shit

we are not talking about some Henry Kissinger level stuff, just a bit of honesty in their own capability instead of driving some people here up the walls

By available real world data I can estimate that the current lead time for getting an address confirmation is approximately 15 months. My March 2015 pre-order should be fulfilled sometime this June-July-August. I wouldn't be surprised if they beat that OR they delayed it further again, but I'm sure not putting any hope into the former.

I also received my address confirmation on Friday (12/23/14 SS preorder). The grasshopper was shipped the next day and is out for delivery today (Arizona) so the turnaround time seems to be pretty quick. Definitely quicker than what I was expecting.

OH, yeah, then, that 15-month guesstimate looks about right.... If the past few of those who just posted address confirmations were 12/14 preorders, I can certainly climb back into bed on this one.

I'm really starting to hate these GH people, and I know it's petty of me to be that way, but as @Hjalmark has stated, this isn't high-level diplomacy here... it's just fucking unethical bullshit.
No matter how good this hopper is, that company will always have a black eye in my book.

That is encouraging based on previous reports of lag between the two. Too bad that doesn't help with the longer part of the wait.
