The reason should be that you already waited this long... what's another month or 2?I pre ordered only in February but still having a hard time finding a reason
to not ask for a refund and check back in six or eight months maybe a year???
I had my mind made up to cancel my order today. Had mixed feelings about it, but was just tired of the delays. Sent the email, then Caroline used her Jedi mind tricks against me. As an early pre order (Dec '14) she stated they predict pre orders to begin shipping this Dec. Of course they do, right? So, just as mike said above me... What's a few more months of waiting to see how this year plays out. Ive been anxious for a new portable and now I'm asking myself... Did I make the right choice or did I forget my backbone today?
My preorder is Dec 23 '14. They should have started a little before that, I'm sure?
For what it's worth, I got told in an email a few weeks ago that I should not expect my Hopper before late December/early January as a March 28th preorder
I'm an early June preorder and Caroline just told me my order is to be shipped in January FWIW
Hmmmm, I pre-ordered late August, and my estimated ship date was originally October.
It was put back to November, but hasn't been delayed any further.
I've had no e-mails warning that they won't be likely to meet this date, so it surprises me that folk so far ahead of me in the queue have been warned that they'll have an even longer wait.
Going by the content of this thread it seems unrealistic to expect mine to ship in the next couple of weeks?
On the other hand the HL updates seen since my ship date was initially set back strongly suggest that production has increased enough to meet my Nov' ship date.
There seems to be a MAJOR disconnect between estimates appearing on this thread, and what HL estimates.
(I just looked at this thread for the 1st time fairly recently)
I think I'll email them to enquire further.
........
Mine arrived quickly and in perfect condition, albeit missing one extra battery but I'm sure they'll take care of it. I feel like I've graduated from this thread now lol, but I'll stay subscribed for a while longer
It's a bit confusing, because my shipping email says@grokit My friend recently placed his pre-order and added 3 or 4 extra batteries, and he got a notice saying that the batteries were out of stock. Maybe that is the case?
It's a bit confusing, because my shipping email says
"Shipped Items:
Color Grasshopper Color: Green
Extra Battery
Extra Battery"
But my order status on their website says "Partially Shipped".
I'm currently communicating with caroline, who needs to make sure that I didn't miss a battery rattling around in the shipping box, or inserted into the leather sleeve (I checked both of those things when I first opened the package). We're on our third email exchange regarding this, I hope we're done now
I gotta add that I love this thing, I have some great plug-in vapes and I can't stop using this at home!
At least Caroline is responding to you. I've still had no response to my past Friday email reporting my newly replaced Hopper had died after one use. I may have more to say later today about that.
Have you tried this new RMA form on the website mentioned in the latest update? I haven't checked the site recently.... I'd at least forward the original email to Caroline again and ask if she saw your last email, maybe it got lost in the junk mail. Have you tried sending to the general mailbox instead of Caroline directly?

Wouldn't a simpler explanation be that they just keep underestimating it?Someone on Reddit seemed to figure this out, somewhere in Paypal terms and condition it states something to the effect of only being able to accept pre-order payments via Paypal when the product is being delivered in the next 60 days. It seems to be the most simple explanation as to why GHL's keeps saying every month that the mass shipping is just a month or two away. I will go with Occam's Razor on this one, "the simplest explanation is usually the correct one"
Wouldn't a simpler explanation be that they just keep underestimating it?
Go back and read June 2014's update, if you think they just kept going, "whoops we underestimated" for 15 months, that is magical thinking at its best - but hey, good for you for being a glass half full kinda person. I am a bit of a pessimist.
I find my estimates are often at least 2x off.
