See this is what makes no kinda sense to me how u order late March and your estimated ship is November but I pre ordered august 9 and my estimated ship date is October? Seems to me like they are just blowing fire in our asses by saying a estimated ship date b it in all reality that isn't gonna happen it's just a way for them to take our money and use it towards getting the rest of their backers backed like fuck us well lie to u in order to get caught up well I just want my hopper in october don't lie to me Trevor how about no estimated shipping dates and how about an actual number or evidence of how many backers u still have left to go come on grass before everyone calls strike and ask for their money back, they will be kinda fucked

I think that has to be some kind of mistake, I think I recall you mentioning it in the last round of delays? You seem to be the only late pre order with an October date?

I'm a backer with an Oct. ship date, and I'm even dubious about that.

Since preorders can get refunds, it's pretty easy to come up with a motivation for underestimating the wait time. Or it could just be an honest mistake...

If the current rate continues w/ modest increases backers will take all of Oct/Nov. We don't know what's gonna happen, keep those expectations low, the ride continues.

EDIT: I'm not trying to be mean, but c'mon man. A little punctuation goes a long way in getting your thoughts across to other people... especially since tone can't really be expressed via the typed word. We're all frustrated. I backed Dec 11 2013 and had my estimated date changed 4 or 5 times now.
The people that are satisfied with their grasshoppers are out enjoying them somewhere and not online bitching about them. Therefore it looks like the sky is falling, when in reality 100% of the angry grasshopper posts on here are actually only from the ~10-20% of failed unit owners.

Unfortunately you won't be seeing your hopper in October or November. There are like 2k backers plus all the additional hoppers they ordered.

I ordered an extra one because I didn't want to wait any longer if I decided I wanted another. They offer anyone who was a backer to order additional hoppers and have them ship with original backer shipment date unaffected. This is one thing which people don't seem to be considering, other people could order for their friends who now see how cool it is and want to jump the line. I'm a November 28th backer, was actually November 27th 11pm my time but midnight theirs and I've been holding my breath waiting for this vaporizer from February 2013 when they first promised delivery to the backers. After multiple bouts of "increased shipping" reported I still am 4-5 days off from the pool of backers that are receiving shipping confirmations.

I don't want to be cynical, but I want to make you realize the reality of the matter. They have a ton of hoppers to be crafted and tested, and unless they all of a sudden say our beta testing is over. Full shipping capacity has begun with an email to 500 people and reddit blowing up with confirmations. This would be the time to be excited. Only the folks at GHL know what the true output capacity is for their operation. However you are limited in production to the output of your bottleneck, in this case it sounds like the heaters produced but who knows. I would like to see a little more transparency in their next update.

I can't really be the only one who has difficulty understanding an entire paragraph with no punctuation. I contribute to FC regularly and have no history of trolling. I don't appreciate being accused of it. It really is hard to understand such a long run on sentence.

I think at this point it is safe to say they don't want massive refunds. My expected date was originally May, now it is Oct. and they will never make that. If they don't string people along they will lose a lot of pre-orders, but they may end up hurting their reputation more.

I think they might be funding operations right now with the pre-order money, that is why they keep saying, next month, next month and drop little tidbits like they designed a mass battery charger or whatever. They are hoping to string people a long till they can figure out mass production of quality units.

Unless you're a backer I think January is being extremely optimistic considering they haven't even gotten through November backers yet. I am a late June pre order with November estimated shipping and I really hope I get my order before Christmas but I'm not counting on it. Honestly unless something drastic happens at GHL to speed up production and reduce failure rate I am not expecting my order to ship until March or April of next year. At the current production rate I'm thinking that maybe optimistic too and realistically June or later of 2016.

Just let it go dude, no need to play the martyr, everyone has cooled off and there is a "be nice" rule to protect you/tubasco as well.

But also, yes, to echo Likes2Vape, if you ordered in august, you basically wont get your hopper till well past January, despite whatever weird shipping estimate they have given you. And if you get yours in October, likely before over half the backers, I'm definitely done with GHL and cancelling.

I'm not sure that is always true. Plenty of backers have reported separate ship dates for their original backer order and their new pre-order.

My original preorder was placed mid feb 2015, if GHL don't drastically ramp up their shipping very soon, I suspect I will receive the GHs spring 2016, even if my current ETA is October 2015.

In the the August 23 update, GHL claimed to have shipped 550 hoppers, and now over 1 month later, I still see nov 23 backers waiting for shipping confirmation. That means about 75% of backers are still waiting. Grasshopper Indiegogo Campaign Tracker

Boy do I understand your VAS! I vote to hang in there for the gh, and get the Crafty...I love mine. I'm waiting on my gh too, but am scoping out other vapes. I'm looking at the MiVape and Prima. Jury's still out on both...
