Perhaps I am off base on this, but why would those who pre-ordered need to confirm their address? It makes sense with the backers. Kickstarter/Indiegogo accounts always confirm the address. If I order something from a website, doesn't my billing/shipping address pretty much do that?

I ask because, maybe there isn't going to be an address conformation anymore. We may be up in arms about something that won't actually happen. I'd still expect to see SOME sort of email with tracking information.
At this point, I think some preorders have waited about a year for their gh. I think it makes sense to request address confirmation. Things change over time.

Not a single preorder has reported here or on Reddit that they've even received an address confirmation, much less had their GH shipped. And yet, weeks ago, there were only 300 backers still waiting?
Obviously, either the amount of backers waiting, and/or their prediction of shipping 100 a day
was just more of their trademark "misguided optimism". Or are the 100 they can ship each day ALL going out as warranty replacements?

Mines still going strong, at least!

Why would any preorders ship yet? They said in their last update they hope to finishing backers this month...

It's clear they have made some design changes, maybe they are smart enough to release them in small batches still and get feedback before ramping up to the 100/day capacity.

Totally makes sense. I didn't realize the pre-orders had been up that long. I guess I was secretly hoping I'd head home and find a GH surprise waiting for me....lol

Definitely something happening as its Friday tomorrow and not a single shipping report from any of the people who just verified, even a couple before that rush.

So I forgot to post an email interaction I had with Caroline last week but it may explain why they have slowed down on shipping. I sent this 2 days before the update.

"Hi Caroline,
Just wondering as we come up to the middle of January how my order is looking? The last time we talked my estimated shipping confirmation date was expected to be "early January." I'm just wondering when I should expect it now since it is almost the middle of January and backers aren't even finished yet? I fully understand unexpected issues that come up and I understand delays that arise, but I am having trouble understanding not being able to foresee two weeks in the future when we were told in an update that you guys had enough parts to fulfill all outstanding orders. So, I guess my biggest question is what happened to all those parts? And also, how much longer? Am I going to have to wait another month or two? I am fine with waiting I just want to be able to stop wondering.

Just for reference my preorder date was 12/27/14. So she should be back pretty soon and I would think that shipping the remainder should pick up quickly after that.

Still don't believe that EVERY day its increasing. They aren't even getting the last 300 out. I also, am okay with waiting, but not while they keep flip flopping worse than a politician.

I'll get it... eventually. In the meantime, stop giving us estimates if you are pretty sure it won't happen.

Here's hoping for a hopping frebruary

I will be surely emailing GH to assure that they won't dare send me a unit with a hot back end or failure in any other aspect... I will settle for nothing less than a perfectly performing unit that lasts and lasts. 100% quality control out the door or I'll broadcast loud & clear everywhere! That said, I'm optimistic...

She can be just as Vague as Trevor .
And they're still hiring , they can personally reduce the

Got my address confirmation 9 days ago. Replied immediately with an address confirm, plus replied (as per their instructions if I wanted to order any extra accessories). Ordered a few extra things, including expedited shipping...and so far, have not heard anything back as to how to pay for said extra accessories. Sent another reply 2 days ago (in case they didn't get the first one or it got "lost"). :cool:

...still no word back yet on how to pay or when my now "address confirmed" 'Hopper might actually be shipping.

...my Orbicularis oculi and zygomaticus major muscles are still waiting to contract...:):rofl:

Got a refund for my leather sleeve via my request and was told shipping estimates should be updated on Monday. I won't hold my breath, but i assume everyone will just get bumped back one to two months at most on estimates per usual.

This response and refund took exactly 7 days.

Edit. She also apologized for the delay, advised my TI would still come with a case, and i would receive a free battery for the delay.

The FC rule is:
  • Do not post the contents of private conversations without permission from all parties involved.
The intent of this rule is to ban the use of a private communication to embarrass you or reveal something you would want kept private. We enforce this rule based on the perceived intent. If no harm is seen, we rarely intervene.

This clearly wasn't intended to embarrass, but it has attracted some comments that Caroline probably would not appreciate, so it is possible she would object. I've therefore removed the email.

Yeah I posted this so people could maybe understand why the shipping had slowed down not for her words to be called into question or for people to take personal offense. I'm not making an excuse for them but we don't know how dependent GHL is upon a person like Caroline. I do have permission to post emails from GHL, when I first began corresponding with them I specifically asked if they minded if I posted all future emails and they said it was cool.

So I heard back, and I am a bit annoyed, firstly I was sent a broken unit, it did not break from using it, it came dented and scratched also as icing on the cake, and now I have to pay to ship it back....yeah that's nice, so much for being one of the first backers. Honestly I don't have money to shove around....especially when I see people sending them in multiple times. :cuss:

I honestly can't see it being anything but the backend after reading the other various units issues on these forums.

If everything goes dark tomorrow we shouldn't be shocked basically, once the cow stops milking basically, is that what you might be hinting at? :tinfoil:
WTF?! With the assumed precision production processes fitting these tiny "aeronautical engineered" parts that they're so proud to display on their site, they don't have kid gloves on so the units aren't friggin' scratched?!? It's just so bizarre to me that with all the meticulous workmanship of this space age vape, they can't manage not to dent or ding or scratch the thing before it gets boxed?! DUDES!!! :hmm:

And then they actually won't take the f*cker back without you paying shipping?!?? What IS this?!

Alright, so, not to tout the Pax, but even when those guys were in infancy, they had a guy on this forum who would read our posts, comment, and engage us, hold our hand, and it was like we were (rightfully) the reason they were even in business.

How come GH doesn't have eyes on this board?

Yea I am pretty much done, did I mention I ordered two, ordered one for a friend also, his was worse, the backend would not even come off...he even tried tools.

Anyways, good luck to everyone else...seems you are gonna need it.
