This GH shipping stuff is such joke.
I preordered with an estimate of December. Sent them an email and was told it would be January. Guess that was inaccurate too. I don't mind waiting but their lack of accurate estimations borders on unethical in my opinion.
I don't even care anymore, direct quote from Trevor: "We are happy to replace them but if you use them we cannot take the back."

You and me both, it was odd, I guess its on a case by case basis, or maybe Trevor didn't have his coffee yet and was in a funk? Either way I was literally the 40th backer and got treated like crap IMO.

It seems like they don't know how to run a business, if it was me I would take funds, hire a crap load of people, spit them out like rapid fire, build the brand, advertise at local Colorado dispensaries, etc...take a hit to make it big and establish a real business.

Honestly it wasn't a pleasant vape, not gonna lie, was hot as hell, after thinking about it I feel like the herb chamber should have been more in the back of the device but thats a whole other conversation....

Just send it back, plenty of people have used them & sent it back. From a liability point of view they should say that it cannot be used as that would break federal law.
So would the vapor just pass through the battery?
How the fuck would you know if it was broken unless you'd used it?

Never said that...I just feel like they are taking a while to make this right, and people still haven't gotten them, they need to up production, obviously.

You say that like it's a bad thing. Taking a while to make it right is probably the best strategy to take.... why not perfect it for the preorders?
WOW! Your experience is the complete opposite of mine. Although my only works intermittently on one temp (max) it has already completely changed the game for me after a decade of vaping exclusively through over a dozen high end devices! It's actually even a "habit changer" as posted by a member in the GH thread. You're right, it can get hot...but i find only with extended use....with quick rips here and there, it's fine!
Wait until you need to process a warranty claim, and explain that your GH doesn't work at all, except on the very lowest setting gives vapour intermittently...... their reply was that it sounds like my GH is functioning correctly, and here are some tips and tricks to help! Customer service needs work (at this point anyway).
I never asked for a refund, as for too much negativity I have been plenty patient as I was an early backer(Around 40th, and followed this thread like a religion). And yes Trevor DID say if I used it he would not fix or replace it in our conversations, I can screen cap it if you insist, but I really have 0 reason to lie about this, I have just placed another warranty claim on the site, so we will see if second times a charm.
Once it gets to a point of multiple missed launches, delays, etc...it looks bad on a company and makes people not want to support it, I have seen companies fail for less, just my experience watching progress of multiple companies.
I only used it once, after two hits it burnt my lips, everyone's different though.
I hear ya, and if that's the case......WTF?? I believe you, and now understand your frustration. That in itself could kill the company.... I just can't understand that concept. What's the point of a lifetime warranty? Something still doesn't add up here, and like I said - they didn't even mention to clean it (like Arizer, S&B, and other companies do) before shipping it back. Like you, i'm hoping my 2nd one is the charm. If not, i'm not sure what i'm going to do.
True, at times that happened to me to, but sometimes it didn't.... I thought it was dependent on my usage, and I found that the silicone condom helps greatly.
You'll probably get your replacement before I get mine! Don't forget to write a note explaining what the issue is, even if you've already done that in email correspondence!
I didn't want to say anything in the GH thread, but their recent communication had me scratching my head, so I sent them a followup email explaining my frustration with their inconsistent customer service, so i'll have to wait until tomorrow to see if I hear back!
