Yes the taste or smell of the PG or VG they used to protect the coil does go away after a couple of dabs and cleaning sessions.
However, I recently ordered the new atomizer for the Cloud Pen called the Lightning Cartridge and it works way better. The coil sits a little bits above the bottom and the ceramic that surrounds the coil has more depth to it. Definitely have gotten some great hits off of it. There is none of that VG or PG smell or taste to this one nor the second one I bought in the order.
Ah i just got ne of the lightening ones as well. I ordered that and the old 7.99 version because grenco was backorderd. The old version is more cheaply built then microG. The tiny wick is placed horribly (i cant even describe it) and the coild has 3 only has three widely spaced loops. ThE lightening looks better but still not as good as the microG coils. Havent used it yet but hopefully it works as well as you said
Alright guys, so I just started making my own honey oil. I was told the PEN vapes are a great option for on the go and some of the better units are not to expensive, any input gentleman?
Welcome to the club!
My first pen was the G pen(not good), then I tried the atmos bullet (also not good but a little better) then went back to grenco and got a microG(decent) before moving onto the thermovape Revolution/dart(amazing).
I would definetly suggest the microG or one of the many clones. Ive used the microG atomizers and cloud atomizers and theyre basically the same. Although this is a cheap option at first, the price will start to build up with heavy use. Ive gone through 8 coils (including my original 2) since December. Thats about $100 on just coils and another $100 i spent on the pens not including shipping.
Oh and another cheap alternative to the microG is the vaporbros Dabbler. Is been getting good reviews and is basically the same thing as the microG in a differnet form. And may last longer
I paid $220 for a thermovape dart and ultra (used) around the same time i got my microG and it works just as good as the day i got it. So you really do get what you pay for.
Anyway, i would definetly stay away from atmos, and gentlemans brand vapes based on my previous experience. If your looking for a cheap option i would suggest the microG although it wont be so cheap in the long term.
If your looking for something you could potentially have forever and wont build up costs in the long run then the Thermovape is the way to go. The cera is amazing from what Ive gathered but they are still working out some kinks. The Darts are the old generation and hghly coveted/sought after. Theres a couple in the classifieds now. The ones by themselves youll need to get your own body for. The ltra/ultramax are ready to use when you get them.
The best alternative to the thermovape is delta 9 products. Either persei or omicron. I dont have experience witheither but someone else could probably chime in
