lol wtf ive never seen any concentrate look like that, whatever clinic your going to is shady i suspect, I hope you didnt pay too much for that "wax". Most wax ive seen looks like earwax of some sort, sometimes darker or lighter but you get the picture I honestly dont know what they sold you. Where you located? I know a bunch of good dispensaries in the santa ana/orange county area that have alot of lab tested concentrates , PM me if your interested .

Oh damn, I think that green is plant matter from being poorly filtered. Mine isn't gooey either, it's like an amber gummy tar. Doesn't taste exceptionally well, but does have a pleasant piney hash taste. Camera is broken so I had to use my laptop: http://imgur.com/cQPR0

I'm actually in los angeles, where there are many clinics that sell good concentrates. But last night this collective was the only one open, so I had to pick up from here or not at all. (Mary Jane's Collective btw, don't ever buy their concentrates).

In the end I couldn't tell whether I was inhaling shitty wax or just plastic.. I don't really want to smoke the rest of it but honestly I don't feel like just throwing away $30..

Anyone own/use both the MicroG and Cloud pen?

Does the metal screen on the heating element of the MicroG make a significant difference in performance (vapor production, taste, efficiency, etc.) vs. the naked heating element of the Cloud pen?

I got my MicroG and its the old Cloud pen style atomizer. Just bought a couple extra since i saw the new design. Im a little skeptical about the new MicroG coil, it looks like theres no more mini wick and just the coil now, but the screen just kills it for me. I remember when i tried to add a screen to my atmos raw it wouldnt vaporize/combust but i never tried oi in itl so I dunno.

On a side note you can buy a 3 pack of cloud atomizers from cloudvapez.com. I was hesitant cause their site is kinda sketchy, qnd i had both a positive and negative experience.

I recieved my package a couple days later opeend it up and had a smaller box in it with cloud written on it,open that up and its a charger. Look at the invoice and its addressed to someone completely different on the opposite coast. Call their number goes to voicemail just before beep someone pickes up and i explain the issue. He asked for my state and nothing else and then said that i could mail them back the charger and when they get it they would mail out my correct order and a couple extra atomizers. Hung up and filed a dispute on paypal requesting a refund and i sent them an email saying i would mail back the charger but i would just want a refund instead. IDA from cloudvapez emailed me back immediatly and told me I could keep the charger, the would mail me my corrct order and an extra atomizer and ship it first class/or priority(whichever was faster cant remember lol). I also got an 2nd email a couple minutes later asking about the name of the person I spoke to(the way it was worde sounded like she was pissed)

bottom line: i rceived my corrct order a couple more days later. ( the 1st one i tried came DOA but the rest are legit and i fot 4 instead of the 3 i paid for) so basically I got my correct order and a free charger lol the reshipment return address was addressed to CloudVapez but besides that i cant complain

If it's actually purged well, you could always make some cannabutter or cannaoil. If you decarb it, you can add it to a small amount of strong alcohol (pref Bacardi 151 or stronger) and get a nice tincture. Hopefully it's just the taste that suffered and not quality, although they're both related...

Ahh okay. I'll probably end up just smoking it haha
Also, am I able to clean my cartridge? It's pretty damn gunky and I feel like that isn't helping.. I have the original G-tank.

The screen is not removable, planning on taking a micro g apart when one breaks to see what's underneath. Appears to be no wick, just a coil like you said. I like the screen, it seems to capture and hold the oil in place and let gravity do all the work. The screen also keeps dust and things out of the heating element I suppose The taste seems better than the other cloud style so far. I sometimes get some gunk around the inner portion around the coil with the cloud type, maybe these micro g's with the screen will keep it cleaner inside?

Yeah, comes with sleeve, mouthpiece, and extra glass cover. I don't recommend the essential oil tanks any more, mine just broke today after only 2 weeks of heavy use. The top coils weren't fully lighting, wiggled it around and got it working again, then eventually burnt out for good. I'm going to try to replace the coil, but I ordered a omicron tank in the meantime.

I've read that I won't need the thread adapter (G-Pen battery -> Omicron cartridge), but if anyone knows otherwise please let me know.

I had contacted Grenco Science with my receipt for the Essential Oil G-Tank and received a reply that they sent me a replacement. Pretty damn surprising how easy that was. Great customer service from my experience, and if this replacement tank lasts then my opinion will change.

alright, I just signed up to the forum after lurking for a bit.

I've had the gpen and gpen mini for a few months now and I got my hands on one of the new styled microg atomizers last week. I was confused with the screen to say the least but I it tried it with both shatter and melted wax spread on the screen.

the concentrate vaporized after really heating up the element (whatever it is) and pulling hard. after a few times doing this and getting a couple hits I wasn't very impressed.

I found that the hits aren't as big as the old style. and after heating the element a few times it has an off taste. some type of burning taste that's hard to put my finger on. not the same as a burnt wick but unpleasant still.

I got this as a replacement cartridge from the beginning and their customer service has always been top notch. I'm probably going to end up dissecting it to get a better look at whats going on inside. I'll post pics when I do.

Yeah the taste you described kinda reminds me of the gentlemans brand cartridges. I just had thenpleasure of using one and while it does not have a screen, the coil looks like what would be under the micro screen(dunno just basing off pictures). The old style can be bought in 3 packs from cloudvapez.com if you have any problems email them and theyll take care of you, see post above for my experience

Check out this video on the gpen with all 3 tanks....oh and it's a must that you prime your wicks with vg( vegetable glycerene ) ...just put a drop of it on each side of wick and one in center..... This will make you wick not dry out and taste funny .

Just tried one of these the other day, pretty impressed. I was heating too much and just got a hashy taste from my wax at first, nice rips, and good buzz. But then I started playing with how long I kept the button pressed in, and with a couple quick, 1-second pulses(1-2 wait 1-2), I was able to get almost as good a flavor as I do on my ti nail. I could really taste my skunk#1 wax fully. Definitely has my interest peaked and hoping to acquire one from Grenco Science, as soon as I hear back from them.

Just picked up a microG pen from my local head shop(big mistake trying to spend some $$ locally). Only to find out that it was missing some of the accessories and had the old style, wick cartridges, not the new ones with a srcreen covering over the wick. Definitely disappointed and quickly remebered why i like online shopping so much more. Of course, nobody at head shop knows about the missing accessories, and definitely not return the item or work with me...f#$% me, right? So I figured I would try contacting Grenco Science directly with my issues.
I spoke to a young lady,(who's name does not rhyme with Karen) who listened to my story and decided she wanted me to have the best experience with my microG. She asked me to just submit my receipt from my local jerk head shop and she would see what she could do for me. After receiving an email from her, I forwarded on my receipt and a small request. The CSR,whose name does not rhyme with Karen, replied back promising to send out my missing accessories and met my small request. Just having that horribly sick feeling of, did I just get screwed again at a LHS, alleviated by Grenco and a wonderful CSR, made my day!!
Just felt I should make note here and hopefully maybe make her feel a little good if she happens by and reads. Not trolling or schilling, just pointing out what I felt was somebody going above and beyond the call of duty.
Really simple device, imo. Charge, remove mouthpiece/ bowl cover, load a little wax(without touching wick with your pick/dabber), and rip. Very nice results for such a little device. I was looking for something cheaper to help me not go broke doing dabs all day. With the microG, I can just kinda "sip" away and keep a nice medicated state, without going thru a ton of wax($$). Kinda reminds me of how I used the MFLB. Good performance on the go to keep medicated thru the day without going overboard. More to come as obviously it is a new "toy". Let's see how it works over a few months time. I am excited to see how it does.FWIW, my daily home vape is the VXH Cloud and daily mobile was my Arizer Solo(which I still think is one of greatest portables out there, and will get a break while I play with microG). I dab with DG Fritted and Ti nail/Globe.

Vapezilla, when you see this post...

The links are the same pieces that make up the G-Pen. The only difference is that the G-Pen has branding and hype behind it. Most of these "pen" vapes are the same deal, a different combination of battery and tank/stripped (if you're that lucky) atomizer. The two items in the link will give you the same performance at a much more affordable price. Omicron/Persei/Revolution/Cera EO are the only ones I can think of off the top of my head that are pen-style vaporizers designed to be compatible with oils.

For what it's worth, they'd probably do pretty well as e-cigs. But the consistency of propylene/vegetable glycol is much different than BHO.
