Not sure yet considering I have never tried wax. I vape a decent amount with my solo and I have an underdog in the mail currently. I would probably limit the amount I use the pen to just for stealth hits when I am out and about though. It looks to fit in a pocket fairly easy.

I also own a Solo, but I still use small amounts of ground flowers in it. You might use 1/2 a gram of wax a week, it's hard to say.

Since potency varies I expect this next question to be hard to answer, but how many hits do you tend to take to feel the effects? Thanks for all the quick replies and answering to best you can so far. Never had access to anything but flower before so I am just starting to learn about the other forms

I can feel it after only one hit, especially in the morning. I hope I have been able to be of some help, but you really need to experiment when you get your Dr. Dabber. :)

So I got the pen today and have tried it with the glass dome and the ghost style. Few questions though. What is the best way to load it? What is the best technique to hitting it? I was able to get hits each time trying random heat and breathing techniques.

I load mine with a toothpick, but DO NOT touch the coil! I just press the button and draw, but you can also pulse the button while drawing.


On a side note, look at all the reclaim I got out of my Dabber mouthpiece! I usually get this much, or more, depending on how long I wait to clean it. This is the first time I have taken a picture, though. :)

I don't own the pen so I don't know how it's designed but that seems excessive, no?

I pulse the button a little bit to get the wax to stick to the coil. I just use the tool they sell at the Dr Dabber website. (I think it comes with the kit) It's shaped like a tiny spoon, and I use that to scrap the oil out of the mouthpiece, no ISO.

So when it comes time for me to purchase some atomizers, is it possible to buy the 5 pack and get like 2 for the globe and 3 for the ghost? Or would that not be possible?

That's actually the first request we've had for that.. If you were to order between 9am-5pm est mon-fri and just call the Dr.Dabber phone number while your ordering and I'm sure they will be able to help you out.

Looking to get a new vape pen. Currently have the ophos. Would the Dr dabber work well for me ? I want something that I don't have to load every hour or So and most importantly I want flavor and rich clouds. Is this possible with the Dr dabber? I love my ophos especially for the price but I would like something else as well

I recently just ordered the Dr. Dabber pen for myself as a first pen and introduction to wax. After about a week of use I have to say it is very nice. Depending on how you hit it you can make a single load last quite a while sometimes. It is easy and discreet. I recommend you get one.

What is the best way to clean the atomizers without peeling the black off? And for the globe one, does the white part come off for easy cleaning?

I like the Dr. Dabber so much I just bought a second one. Now my GF can have her own and stop stealing mine!

I bought the Dr. Dabber and a smaller "sticky wax pen" at the same time for comparison. Dr. Dabber is much easier to load and the battery lasts MUCH longer. The smaller wax pens die halfway through the day, I have never pushed the Dr. Dabber to run out of battery in just 1 day. I just changed my original atomizer / coil after 17 days, it still works but takes longer to heat up because of all the black gunk buildup.

I got my Dr Dabber and Globe a few days ago.

The "white" part of the globe is a pretty standard globe atomizer. There is a rubber gromit to insulate the plis from the min but you can easily dunk it head first in alcohol. I cleaned mine for the first time yesterday and it came out almost as new. The atomiser is the same as the Dabbler tube atomizer, they are interchangeable.
Actually the Dr Dabber and Dabbler devices (the closed and globe/tube) are very similar and you can swap all parts between them.

Love the size of the Dr Dabber, easy to take along and really massif hits from such a small device.

I have used the Globe on a couple of VV eGo's at around 4V. Also gives great results. Its nice to be able to see what is happening.

Only issue is that it so nice to do but gets you so stoned!

The Dr Dabber is basically a knock off(very similar design) of your Ophos(or other UPTECH vape pens with a TiG2 KISS cart) with an older outdated cart design that uses a standard silica(worse taste as well as worse for your health), has a smaller battery, has a much shorter and less complete warranty, costs more, exc. Most find it to be a good pen but, I don't see any advantages over your Ophos. If you want something with more capacity, I would go with a V4 Persei or the new 8 with a Hercules SR-71 attachment. I have not tried one yet but the SR-71 is supposed to be the creme of the crop when it comes to larger capacity cart designs and consistently gets great reviews from new and long time users. The cheaper option is to grab a W9 EO cart for your Ophos. It will hold more then a KISS cart but at the expense of flavor. They are disposable, hold plenty of oil(up to 400 doses), and still are quite healthy. The best part about UPTech is their customer service too. The owner "G" is active on here all the time, is readily available on the phone as well, and is super nice and helpful with any questions you may have. They are also always trying to up their game and improve their products which is nice and shows they are motivated to bring the best vapes possible to the market.

No offense intended to Dr. Dabber, just giving my honest opinion obout the OP's question of Ophos/UpTech vs. Dr. Dabber.

@Tachead except that saying that Dr. Dabber is a "knock off" is offensive and is against our rule regarding bashing of companies.

It's also not a good practice to overly "sell" a competitor's product in another manufacturer's thread. You could have stuck with your basic opinion regarding the Ophos and added if he wanted further suggestions to pm you.

Sorry, I was not trying to bash. Just speaking the truth as I understand it.

I will keep that in mind for next time. I was going to pm the op but, to be honest I couldn't figure it out. If you could instruct me on how to pm I would appreciate it. Thanks
