Yesterday I decided to clean my DrDabber atty, which was paired with a VV battery, when I unsrewed it I feel a bit of resistance and I saw the 2 center pins (one from the atty and the other from the battery) glued together by resin and attached wires were broken both in the atty and in the battery
This a lesson for me, I need to remenber to clean my vape pens too cause now i have a broken atty and battery...(I'm thinking to try to reconnect it....)

I was thinking about a vape pen. Now that I have access to oils. Wanted to find something easy to use and durable. I'd rather spend an extra $30 or $40 to get something that won't break all the time.

Just put on a new atomizer. Pulsed it so I could load it and it sparked. DOA. Bummer

Hey guys just wanted to check back in The replacement Dr. D sent me for my original one I lost worked out great for me. I did notice some slight differences from the original pen I had from the Dr. The packaging had some minor changes and the button that I previously said lit up the whole car at night in my initial review was changed.
The original one has a flat button with a ridge around the edge and the newer one has a rounded face to the button that sits flush with the main body instead of protruding a bit. This gives it a smoother more finished feel in your hand and less of a lantern effect from the bright blue led in the button. I think this is a nice touch to the finish of the pen but I wouldn't mind an option in a future model to eliminate the light for stealth nightime use.
I loaded this one much heavier and continued that bad habit until I was half asleep and put in a piece that really flooded the thing. I spent the next day poking at a blackened puddle of concentrate and bringing it back up on the coil to vape off. That coil did not last long either from all that abuse.
I am back to a D.a.y.g. loading method and can just tip it upside down to get the light build up on the bottom cleared, I would expect the coil to last longer this way. These coils are tough, one of my original ones still fires, it has no wick anymore and was used for like 2 months and iso soaked twice and moved back and forth for experimentation. I am pretty sure I was losing wick bits on the iso soak and burn off I was doing. Now I only clean with Very hot water until it is pretty much clean then a quick iso shake rinsed off with water does a great job and minimizes iso exposure.
I used it upside down in a 14mm glass fitting and it works great, just melt your concentrate into the wick first! It was an old combustion piece with a massive chamber that the Dr.D struggled a bit to fill, but I have used it on full sized rigs with normal sized chambers with good success.. We used the heck out of the thing at the Cannabis cub and It gets worked pretty hard by me and my friends on the daily!
The outer finish Was holding up surprisingly well and before I dropped it and broke the surface it did good with the eliminated iso exposure it got. and even after I lost more from the repeated dropping that I did from Iso. THIS PEN IS TOUGH! I replace my glasses and phone multiple times a year because between my rough and tumble work and my heavy duty outdoor recreation, my stuff just gets beat on. (including me)
I Lost count of how many times I dropped it getting out of the truck onto concrete and even had a dent in the side of my last atomizer. I have jumped out of the truck and stomped on it, fallen on it, and sat and laid on it while working under cars and it doesn't bend and break in the middle or at the battery like all of my friends Vape pens. Unfortunately I lost it again out in a field while running a commercial mower and can't find it. There has been a heavy rain but I wouldn't be surprised if I found it and it still worked.
I ordered a new one with the awesome Fc discount and after a few short days I was back in business. While I was waiting I was lent a Gpen Mini, it tasted like robot farts did not provide a full satisfying hit and was just an unsatisfying experience after owning my Dr. D. When It came I noticed the packaging was slightly different again and this time included a second atomizer in the box that was a neat surprise I wasn't expecting!
I noticed no changes in the pen itself this time, however the coils look to be changed up a bit. The wick looks wider giving a wider wrap to the coil and providing more surface area and the coil itself seemed to be of a different diameter wire. (iirc). I kind of had the feeling that the second pen I got took a longer button press to get as hot but that could have been because I was loading it too heavy. This time though I am loading D.a.y.g. and feel like I need a longer button press to get the same size rip I got previously. I think this is because of a change in the coil and maybe the Dr. will weigh in on this but it seems to take a bit to get hotter but tastes cleaner, not quite like through my pinnacle water tower but a small step in that direction.
Other non important observations are the 3 dab tools I have from Dr. D are all very similar but different and my older Shatterproof balls are a slightly different blue.
I have recently become aware of a rip off of this pen that a friend of mine bought for less that appears to use a coil that mimics the older style. I did not hesitate to reorder my Dr. D pen knowing I can count on Good C.S. and a quality pen.
We are heading to the Black Mountains in Ky for some 4x4 and camping action so the torture testing continues! If I wasn't so broke I would really like to review the Dr. D water tools, and yes I want all 3 lol! Have any fellow Fc members picked any of them up?

I was using my Dr. Dabber pen the other day while riding in the car with hubby. He said it looks very "sexy."
Was he talking about you or the pen? My husband says my Dr. Dabber makes me look baked.

I have a small problem. The white rubber seal in the mouth piece has come lose and has dropped to the bottom. I have tried pushing it back to the top but it doesn't stay.
It is restricting airflow so I will probably take it out later. Will that affect anything? Any tips on a fix?

The plastic mouthpiece pulls right out of the top of the aluminum tapered piece which is tapered to 14mm so it goes on a glass on glass fitting for water pieces.

I'm taking my Dr. Dabber, in it's new case, on my trip to the doctor today.
The Dr. Dabber shatterproof storage ball does not easily fit into this case. I really had to force it. Then I almost couldn't get it back out.
**I just realized that the storage ball isn't supposed to go inside the net area of the storage case.
In my defense, this is my first time using it since I got it.
