@RedZep everything will be made available separately and I would assume that everything will eventually make it to RVS. They have requested more coils

@Sikmuaik8 There will be handles available soon

@Marcus let me know if you have issues with your clips. Ill also probably do a big discount to people who have an old heater and want to upgrade to the flanged one which is more secure because it doesnt need the bottom clip.

Im also working on stands and will have some very inexpensive "Hot Holes" available hopefully by the end of the week.

Also, Im expecting the new short flanged heaters today along with the Baller Housing and a new heater for the redesigned "Stick". Everything is coming together quickly

I tried half loading my 18mm CC with ungrounded buds. I found it didn't extract as well. Anyone else have similar results?
I think I'm going to get a coil for my 14mm anyway. So.its not a big problem.

Also can I keep the coiled cap on for a extended amount of time when using hash? Can the unit get too hot and shatter?

@RedZep you are using a torch? Are you preheating the bowl? I have always used coarse ground herb, I really find that the looser the bud/pack the better the extraction especially if you use a dense flower

It's the 18mm coiled QC. When I fill it to the top with small buds, I get amazing extraction. I'm thinking maybe when it's half full with buds the airflow is too open.

As I said it's not a big deal. I already own the 14mm QC and intend to get a coil, so I can use that for smaller loads. I was more interested if others had the same experience.

I prefer to use buds as it keeps airflow open.

I use my finger nails to get a small bud size for good extraction. The BCG coarse grinds some of it down too much & particularly it’s dryer herbs. The 18 is a tad big for those buds so it’s the only one I use with a screen. I’ll also do a very light push down with a wooden poker a couple times while loading. Less so with the 14. My heaters are usually on the bowl for 3-4 minutes, thinking you could go longer.

They rest and suspend the heater/coil in the Q cup pretty well. The top one can lean against the wall if need be too.

Hey, that “Q cup” looks elegant and compact … but looking it up online only gets me a completely different thing, the Q-Unit vape and it’s accessories, including a Q-Cup. I dont think it’s anything to do wih your Q cup, but can you tell me where yours is from?

Man ythanks in advance!

@RedZep sounds like you got it figured out

@coolbreeze thanks for posting the link. I had already been thinking of a heat shield and was thinking of contacting a local potter to see if they could make some. That seems to be proof of concept that it will withstand the heat. My other idea was super thick glass tubing.

I have basic wedge stands coming and I working on a stand that is a combo of a couple open source DIY stands that I think is going to be really cool.

If you are a Mega fan, get ready!!! Coils and heaters are on the way. The heater has been redesigned to be taller and have the flange. All the coils will come with a new heater.
