Is it possible to use thc oil made with isoprophyl for vaping? Could i mix it with peg 400 or could i use a regular e- juice?
Yes. But question should be, is it safe?Is it possible to use thc oil made with isoprophyl for vaping?
Sounds a lot like, " hold my beer and watch this"dunno if it's safe but
Hello there brother, I'm resolving my mix because I got separation after a day or two with my procedure using hot plate stirrer for mixing. What you think about homogenizing the mixture (rosin, PG, VG, PEG400) using homogenizer machine to address the separation? Thanks in advance.A lot of herb on the black market has tons of mystery pesticide residue in it anyways. Not really gonna be 100% safe unless you get really regulated stuff. ISO can be completely purged, just need to be more strict if you are afraid of remaining residue. Can even use everclear (95% ethanol) if you really want to be safe.
Health issues aside, make sure you use really clean oil, any impurities will result in carbon buildup in the wick and just not work well after a few hits. Almost all ejuice contains VG, any significant amount of VG in the mix will cause the oils to not homogenize properly, short answer do not use ejuice. peg I hear is questionable, if you want to risk it is up to you, but it will work as long as the oil is clean. Pure PG will work, but the oils will separate after a couple weeks, really you will probably vape it all before it separates anyways. PG is used in about all of ecig ejuice and I would not say it's questionable at all.
You can also try terpenes as a thinner. Terpenes is in weed anyways, so I would not say it is anymore harmful unless you added way more than you should. Terpenes is a solvent so a highly concentrated amount will cause problems.
I was experimenting a lot on THC ejuice before and a lot of solutions sucked ass. Should just get yourself a "wax tank" and vape oils pure.

Yeah I know terpenes will produce great results but I'm not into vape pen, too strong for what I intended dosing and also the issue is it's too expensive in my country. I even tried importing some before and the customs confiscate my package coz it's prohibited in my country. I wanted to use solvents that is accessible in my country which is PG, VG, PEG400.Do you know that there are all terpene liquidizers (100% terpenes) with no pg, vg, or peg 400? Much safer imo.

Thanks for the update brother. I am saving a lil bit of $ to purchase a generic homogenizer that has 22,000 RPM. hope it works man. I will update here if all works well. Peace!Yes, separation is a huge issue, one of the reasons why I gave it up. A lot of people dilute with terpenes to avoid separation, but you can only dilute so much with terpenes as it's really thin and will thin your oil a lot, not to mention terpenes in large concentrations will dissolve your plastic tanks and seals.
I actually been wanting to try using a homogenizer for the longest time. A homogenizer should be able to emulsify mostly anything we throw at it. Problem was that the ones I found cost a couple thousand.
I ordered this recently though. https://www.vevor.com/products/disp...er-10-1000ml-110v?_pos=4&_sid=d7f173645&_ss=r
Haven't tried it yet, but a homogenizer for $120, worth a shot even if it doesn't work well, which I don't see why it wouldn't work well.
Edit- BTW that homogenizer is a generic chinese fsh-2a. You can find some reviews and videos on youtube. Some people use it to make diy skin cream and stuff it seems.
Edit 2- Sorry, for the edits, lol. Always have more info I like to share, but forget to add. I will probably post my results here when I try it, but in my search for homogenizers I found some homogenizer manufacturers even advertise towards cannabis oil usage.
Here is an article from Proscientific on using their homogenizers with cannabis oils.
CATScientific Even made an account on a cannabis oriented site to help people on using their homogenizers with oils. Here is one writeup from them on this https://future4200.com/t/cat-homogenizer-for-vg-tincture/1108/3
good to hear back from you brother. would you upload your results here for us to see? and also why would the teflon be a problem?I tried the blend, it homogenized some of it. Requires a bit of work, multiple runs, I seen somewhere they recommend only doing 1-2min runs for whatever reason. Still Some separation.
It was 3g of that thc-a and 12ml pg/vg. I would say about around .5g of that thc-a still falls out and raises to the top.
This is as far as I got with that. Usually all of it would fall out and their would be zero homogenization with vg, easy to tell cause the vg/pg blend would be pure white.
I took apart that rotor shaft. it's all stainless steel with a teflon busing. Teflon might be a problem, keep that in mind.
Agreed. I would not vape PG, VG or any other additive. Before the availability of concentrate CARTS, this was what people were trying. Been there done that… garbage…
